When did you first know that being a Sounds Healer was your calling and how did it come about?
I always used to say, even when I was young, that when listening to music, I never really “heard” the lyrics. That part wasn’t important to me but instead I would recognize the tones and beats, and how they made me feel. So once I was exposed to sound healing, as a participant, that started to make even more sense and once I started to learn the science and history, well that was just it!
It was one of those epiphany moments as I had the product side of my business for several years but knew there was a missing piece, a service that would bring it all together. One day, something nudged me to scroll through my business social media which I rarely do, and a few posts down, I found a woman who I still to this day have no idea how I followed her, announcing the launch of her new sound healing course. I was on the phone with her the next day!
What services do you offer?
At my studio, I offer one-to-one sessions using a variety of instruments including gongs, crystal bowls, drums, chimes and play Tibetan bowls on the body for a vibrational massage. I also have group sound baths several times a month and I am certified in the Alexander Method™ of Vibrational Sound and Energy Healing modality using only tuning forks.
How would you describe Sound Healing?
Sound healing is the ancient, therapeutic practice of balancing the body by affecting the vibrational field. Our bodies are made up of energy which emits a frequency determined by the rate at which it vibrates. When various physical and/or emotional factors affect our body’s systems, our frequencies are also affected and thrown out of tune. Sound healing uses a variety of techniques and specially-tuned instruments to bring the body and mind back into harmonic resonance.
What are some of the best All-Natural Wellness Products that you offer?
I have a brand of matcha green tea, an all-natural face cream formulated with matcha powder (due to the high levels of antioxidants present in the plant it is amazing for the skin!) I named Matcha Face Love, as well as my custom formulated, toothpaste product TEA-th Love. It is made with green tea extract to keep with the theme of using this amazing plant in my formulations. Green tea extract has actually been scientifically proven to prevent gum disease and gingivitis. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3941855/)
What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with customers?
In what I do, it is essential to have an authentic connection of mutual trust with my clients. While I have the tools and provide the space for healing trauma and other energetic blocks, if the client doesn’t feel safe or ready to allow these blocks to be shown to me, then I am unable to clear them. The healing is really within each of us to do ourselves but for practitioners like myself, we can provide these healing techniques to assist with removing blocks but not if a client doesn’t feel safe or trusting and as a result, is shut down energetically.
What do you love most about your profession?
I love so many things about it, being able to experience such amazing results from my clients, seeing them thrive and feeling their absolute best physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s also really amazing to experience this deep healing within myself and also how my intuition has blossomed by doing this work.
