In a recent interview with MysticMag, Sue Ellis-Saller shared her unique approach to tarot readings, which beautifully combines classic techniques with her intuitive senses. Inspired by the diverse sensory messages she receives—from visual cues in her surroundings to spontaneous thoughts and background music—Sue crafts readings that draw from a rich tapestry of sources, ensuring each session is uniquely illuminating.
She further enhances her tarot practice by integrating Reiki, which purifies and calms clients’ energy, fostering a transformative and healing environment.
Through her “Everything You Need” sessions, featured on MysticMag, Sue tailors her extensive toolkit, including tarot, crystals, and NLP methods, to meet the individual needs of her clients, promising a fulfilling and bespoke experience.
What inspires your unique approach to tarot readings that combines classic methods with intuitive messages?
I’m inspired to read this way because I noticed that messages come through a lot of different sensory experiences when I’m doing a reading.
It’s not just about what shows up in the cards, but also what messages flow through to me in thoughts, or songs playing in the background, or art on the walls of the place I am reading at. It’s exciting to channel information into reading from a variety of different sources.
Can you discuss the impact and benefits of combining tarot readings with energy healing techniques like Reiki?
Wow. Generally speaking, adding Reiki to ANY modality will help to clear a person’s energy, bring them to a calmer, healthier state of being, and allow them to shed things that don’t serve them along the way.
How do you tailor your “Everything You Need” sessions to individual client needs, and what can clients expect from these sessions?
Absolutely! Everything You Need sessions are totally dependent on what the client is looking for. Of course, an honest conversation about what the client is looking for in life should be the central focus of the session, and then all the tools I bring in — such as tarot, crystals, book recommendations, and NLP methods — support the person’s needs at the moment.
What challenges do you face in providing straightforward, non-sugarcoated tarot readings, and how do clients respond?
Honestly, if a person doesn’t want to hear what I have to say or has a different outcome/desire in mind.
For example, if the cards say Person A isn’t going to come back into the client’s life, but the client desperately wants Person A back, it can be hard for that person to accept. Some clients LOVE an honest reading while others don’t.
How has your practice evolved over time, especially with the integration of various spiritual and healing modalities?
That’s a huge question, especially as I am going through something of an uplevel at the moment, integrating NLP theories into my magical and spiritual work.
The NLP gives things a much more scientific spin and kind of requires clear language to describe future desires and past states. Adding that to faith in the magic around me is pretty expansive and makes me really conscious about how I describe the miracles I witness (and sometimes create).
