Today, Mystic Mag‘s Marko Velimirovic had the opportunity to interview Sarah Janik, Psychic Medium who was happy to share some interesting information about her career, psychic readings, and what she loves most about her profession.
When did you first know that being a psychic medium was your calling and how did it come about?
I have been sensitive to spirit and had experiences in every house that I can remember. It wasn’t until about 5 years ago when I started getting visits from my patients who had passed and then would go to work and get confirmation that I was really connecting to people on the other side that I decided to dive into my mediumship. That’s when all of the visits from my own friends and loved ones in spirit started to make sense. It took a minute for me to realize everything that was happening but once I did, I realized why I had always been into everything metaphysical and even why I had been so into science as a nurse because a lot of my nursing side tends to show up in my mediumship readings.
What services do you offer?
I offer psychic readings to help get people intuitive guidance on anything they may feel they are needing assistance with in life. I do mediumship readings helping to connect people to their loved ones in heaven (my fav) and I help mentor other psychics and mediums who are coming into their own abilities and help them on their own development journeys.
What is the most popular type of reading that customers are looking for? What are the most common concerns that interest them?
The most common readings I do are a combination of psychic and mediumship. This helps them to connect to their loved ones and understand the continuity of life as well get them insight for their own life. People’s most common concern is wondering if their loved ones are okay and if there’s a heaven and want to know or get some validation of the afterlife for peace of mind. I feel it really helps people to live a bit freer knowing that we will all be reconnected one day.
In this field, it is often thought that word-of-mouth and personal recommendations are the most important when picking a psychic medium – is this true?
I definitely think word of mouth is important in this field. Unfortunately there are quite a few scam accounts out there and people want to hear from someone they trust that you are recommended and able to help in the way you say you can. I also think it is important for people to do their own research before booking a reading. Reviews are also super important! If you can’t find or see reviews anywhere, think before you book. All mediums are a bit different so it’s important to find someone that you personally feel you connect with.
What is the most important detail in maintaining a relationship of mutual trust with clients?
I feel it is important for the psychic or medium to have done a ton of readings prior to transitioning into the business side of readings. There are schools, classes and development groups and I can’t recommend them enough for new mediums/psychics. You sometimes come across delicate information so learning about grief and how to provide that sensitive information ethically is extremely important. I think people seeing you show up online and see reviews and hear from friends that you are able to provide information that is ungoogleable is important. I also think the client needs to trust their gut feelings about the medium they connect to. Everyone has some ability to pick up vibes about other people. Trust them.
What do you love most about your profession?
Honestly I love meeting and connecting to and helping people to feel that they are able to live their lives with a new and bigger perspective on life and the afterlife. Once you have a reading and get some validation it changes your perspective and you are able to see things through a bit of a different lens. If I can help people to feel some more peace then I feel I am helping to do one of the things I’m here to help with.
