How has your family heritage influenced your approach to psychic mediumship?
As you are aware I come from a long line of Psychics, Mediums, and Healers. I seem to encapsulate all of these things from both sides of my maternal line. The big advantage for me was learning to read people and spirit from my Grandmother when I was very young, so she worked with me to bring out my abilities.
Therefore I would have to say that the main influence over how I work now is that I take my direction from spirit rather than any spiritual union or spiritual church. While I’m not saying that either of these institutions is bad or unnecessary, I am a firm believer that nobody can tell you what the afterlife is like better than the spirit. I’m always guided by spirit. My grandmother was aware of the different energies at play in this world and she taught me to be guided by my own intuition and by what I’m taught by spirit.
Today’s world is unfortunately dominated by people’s egos, when you trust people to be able to decide for themselves and to develop how they themselves see fit then it becomes easier to give them guidance based on your own experience, what they do with that guidance is their own decision.
Can you describe the impact that your grandmother and great-grandmother had on your development as a psychic medium?
Unfortunately, I don’t remember my great-grandmother in this life. She passed away when I was very young so I don’t have any physical memories of her, however as an adult, I realized that one of the spirit energies that guide me daily is actually her.
The single greatest gift that I got from these ladies was that they listened. I’m so lucky that having these ladies in my family allowed me to talk about what I was seeing and sensing without being ridiculed, dismissed, or feeling different. They gave me great confidence, not only in who I am but also in what I can do. Being a five-year-old who could read people’s tea leaves was definitely different, but it gave me a sense of independence and a trust in spirit that many people take years to develop.
So in summary I would have to say that confidence in my abilities is definitely the the greatest impact that these ladies had on me.
What are the most common reasons people seek out psychic readings, and how do you tailor your approach to meet their needs?
There are so many different reasons why people get psychic readings. Curiosity is definitely up there as one of the main reasons, however since the COVID pandemic there is definitely an unsettledness in many people’s energies and they are looking for more in life, more direction, more fulfillment, more certainty. Whether it’s career, relationships, or that they’re feeling drawn to working in a holistic environment people are definitely looking for new challenges and certainty that things are going to get better.
Personally, I don’t necessarily feel that I need to tailor my approach to how I deal with each individual. As I said before, if you trust people to know themselves and what they want from life then it becomes easier to give them guidance. The only thing that every psychic is mindful of when dealing with the public is each person’s emotional state when they come for a reading. So reading someone’s energy as soon as you meet them to Know how much information they will be able to deal with in one sitting is just as important as the guidance you give them in the reading.
Could you explain the difference between the medium readings and psychic readings offered on your website?
Absolutely! In simple terms:
– A psychic reads the energy of the living, while
– A medium reads the energy of the dead
So if you’re looking to find out what’s going on in your energy, what’s coming up in the future or general spiritual guidance – i.e. anything to do with you – then you will consult a psychic. If, on the other hand, you’re looking to connect with someone who has passed away, or indeed your spirit guides then you should seek out a medium. Not all readers do both kinds of readings so don’t be afraid to contact them and ask if they can provide what you are looking for. I wouldn’t recommend calling a reader and telling them that you’re looking to connect with your Uncle John who passed away.
Simply tell them that you have someone in spirit that you would like to connect with and whether or not they can help you with that. The most important thing that I advise when choosing a reader is to watch their work. Look at their social media, watch their YouTube channel, join a live session with them, whatever. The reason for this is that you need to feel a connection with your reader.
We don’t always like a person when we meet them, and you definitely don’t want that to be the case when you’re looking to have your energy read, because your energy will close down and make it much more difficult to get an accurate reading. So do your research, a reader that’s right for one person won’t necessarily be right for you.
What does the Medium Mentorship program entail, and who would be the ideal candidate for this program?
My Mediumship Mentor program came about because so many people are looking to develop spiritually. There is a real need in the world for more, and all of us seek more guidance from our spirit guides and our loved ones in spirit than ever before. So while I offer one-to-one mentorship for people who want to work with me I have also extended this to include an eight to ten-week program which I generally run once a year. For Autumn 2024 I am extending it to a twelve-week program as we will be starting by doing some work on ourselves to strengthen our energies and raise our own vibration before attempting to connect to spirit.
Basically, it’s an online program, which really benefits those of us who don’t have access to a spiritual church or spiritual circle. We generally do 40-45 minutes of teaching followed by another 40-45 minutes of practicing what we’re learning – basically reading each other’s energies. So it’s a 90-minute commitment each week and I also offer a facilitated practice session each week – a second optional session where people can come online and ask me questions and also do more practice with each other.
While I would love to think that this would benefit everyone who is interested in developing spiritually, I would definitely say that those who are still deeply immersed in grief or trauma should take time to work on themselves before embarking on this program. It really benefits people who are interested in receiving signs from spirits themselves rather than a third party. I guide people through the techniques that work for me in order to open your connection, after that spirit will guide you on the rest.
