What inspired you to become a Qigong teacher, and how has your journey shaped your approach to teaching and mentoring?

Becoming a professional Qigong teacher wasn’t something I consciously set out to do—it unfolded naturally as part of my own journey of healing and self-discovery. About 12 years ago, while engaging in deep inner work, a practitioner introduced me to Qigong as a practice that might resonate with me. From the very first experience, I felt an undeniable connection.

I began practicing regularly, and before long, the thought occurred to me that others in my circle might also benefit from this incredible practice. What started as a simple idea grew into me sharing Qigong with others, and that eventually evolved into teaching.

Over time, I’ve dedicated myself to rigorous training and skill development, refining my knowledge and approach. Today, as a Qigong Teacher Trainer, my teaching is rooted in this organic evolution—a blend of personal experience, continuous learning, and a deep desire to make these transformative practices accessible to others.

Can you elaborate on the different Qigong programs you offer, such as teacher training, in-person workshops, and online courses, and how they cater to various levels of practitioners?

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of Qigong classes. While I no longer teach regular classes, my focus has evolved toward Qigong Teacher Training, Qigong Immersions, and Mentorship programs. My passion lies in equipping others with the skills and confidence to share Qigong proficiently and professionally.

My teacher training programs are designed for multi-modality practitioners—those who want to integrate Qigong into their existing practices. These programs emphasize both theoretical depth and practical application, ensuring participants can authentically and effectively teach Qigong to others.

For those who are not necessarily looking to teach, my immersions are open to everyone. These non-residential experiences delve deeply into specific topics, techniques, and practices. To support participants in integrating these teachings into their daily lives, I also provide online resources as part of the program.

My mentorship programs cater to two main groups: those who seek one-on-one guidance to refine their teaching skills and individuals who wish to incorporate Yang Sheng Fa (life-nurturing practices) into their personal lives. These mentorships focus on supporting root-cause healing and creating sustainable, life-affirming habits.

Through these offerings, I seek to meet people where they are, whether they’re new to Qigong or looking to take their practice—and teaching—to the next level.

How do you integrate classical and contemporary Qigong styles in your teachings to address both physical and emotional well-being?

In my teachings, I seamlessly integrate classical and contemporary Qigong styles to holistically support both physical and emotional well-being. Classical Qigong serves as the foundation, offering time-honored principles and forms that root the practice in its rich tradition. It emphasizes living in harmony with natural rhythms, cultivating life force energy, and fostering deep inner awareness.

Modern Qigong, on the other hand, offers a more flexible and accessible approach, ensuring these ancient practices remain relevant to the complexities of modern life. By weaving in insights from other modalities and traditional world medicine, I create practical, resonant offerings that address the unique stressors people face today.

For physical well-being, I teach practices that enhance energy flow, boost vitality, and activate the body’s innate healing potential. For emotional well-being, I incorporate transformative practices such as Shen Gong and Daoist meditation, which help cultivate inner stillness, emotional balance, and resilience.

Ultimately, my approach bridges the wisdom of the past with the needs of the present, offering a balanced and adaptable practice that empowers people to reconnect with their natural capacity for health, harmony, and wholeness.

Could you share a success story where your Qigong programs significantly impacted a student’s health or personal growth?

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of witnessing numerous transformative journeys through my Qigong programs. One particularly inspiring story involves a student who initially came to me grappling with chronic fatigue, persistent anxiety, and a profound sense of disconnection from herself. Despite exploring various modalities, she hadn’t found anything that truly resonated or brought lasting change.

Through participating in one of my immersions and later enrolling in my mentorship program, she began incorporating Qigong and Yang Sheng Fa practices into her daily life. Over time, her energy levels stabilized, and she experienced a profound shift in how she approached her mental and emotional well-being. She developed a stronger connection to her body and a greater sense of inner calm. One of the most remarkable changes was her newfound confidence and clarity. She transitioned from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to pursuing a career aligned with her passions and values.

Each person’s journey with Qigong is personal, and I make it a priority to provide tailored guidance within the group dynamic. I guide students in a way that encourages this exchange, while also helping them cultivate their own personal connection to the practice.

How do you stay updated with the latest developments in Qigong and holistic health to ensure your teachings remain relevant and effective?

I place a deep emphasis on my own continuous personal practice and study. Qigong is a living, evolving art, and I believe that remaining intimately engaged in my own journey is essential to staying connected to its full power and potential. I am devoted to both my Qigong practice and the lifestyle principles of Yang Sheng Fa, which guide my approach to health and vitality.

Alongside my daily practice, I actively engage in ongoing learning, connecting with experienced practitioners across various modalities and approaches. I view learning as a lifelong pursuit—one that enriches my understanding and enhances my ability to share effective insights with my students.
