How did your near-death experience and spiritually transformative experiences shape your approach to transpersonal hypnosis and mindful living?

I first began having these experiences prior to the time I trained in hypnosis, so I went into the process with curiosity. I was already practicing mindful living but the STEs and NDE I had offered me an entirely different perspective in life that my conscious mind was not previously aware of. I came from a background that reinforced analytical thinking, and I had a strong analytical and logical brain. After having experiences that showed me there is more beyond this body and brain that we identify with as humans, I was able to approach life in a more lighthearted way.

During these experiences, I was shown how to work with emotional energy and how to move through it so that I didn’t have to hold onto any of the pain I was carrying and identified with any longer. I began utilizing the techniques shown to me in my own practice with clients and since and for many years since, have witnessed the transformation in others.

What are some common signs that someone is disconnected from themselves, and how can they begin the journey back to inner clarity and peace?

Disconnect can show up in my ways. Some examples of this are when we experience anxious feelings, fear, stress, a sense of confusion, a lack of clarity or feeling lost. Sometimes we don’t even recognize the signs until we are looking back on life. Some people move through life checking all of the boxes they think they are supposed to check, only to later feel like something is missing and they don’t really know who they are anymore.

Anything that pulls us away from our true nature, which is love, indicates disconnect and we all experience it at times. The way back to inner clarity and peace is through learning mindfulness, how to be present in a safe way for the nervous system, and through experiences that help a person move through the pain they are holding onto so that they can connect with experiences that bring them into soul awareness.

You mention that overwhelm isn’t a personal failing but a sign of carrying energy that isn’t ours—how can people recognize and release this energy?

I’ve found that this is where transpersonal hypnosis is helpful. It takes a level of awareness beyond the conscious mind and into the felt sense where people can tap into the energy that is theirs and not theirs. Through this awareness, they are then able to notice where the energy has come from and lovingly send it back through lineage and generations, all the way back to the light of source. This isn’t a process that can be thought, but rather, is felt. Having guidance through this process is helpful because we often have trouble staying with the experience on our own.

How does inner work translate into outer impact, and what shifts have you seen in clients who embrace this process?

Outer impact is a natural result of a person’s journey into their inner world. Every impact matters since we are all connected. For some, that may mean they are free to offer a smile to a stranger as they walk down the street. For others, it may show up in their business where they can reach and help more people. It’s all significant because it’s all energy and what matters is the energy and intentions we bring while we are here.

As an individual experiences personal development and releases old belief systems that are no longer serving them, the impact shows up naturally because they are now more connected to their authentic self. I have witnessed numerous shifts in the lives of clients and some of what has shown up are more positive relationship encounters with their loved ones, business entrepreneurs and leaders bringing positive outcomes for their employees and team members in a conscious way, and new unexpected opportunities that arise for people. In every experience, the first step was a person shifting their relationship with their own self. The outcome is what shows up as a result.

What advice would you give to high-achievers struggling with anxiety and burnout but hesitant to explore spiritual or subconscious healing methods?

I feel it is important to not try to convince someone to do this work. They have to come to it themselves. It’s important to meet people where they are and I always recommend listening to their own intuition. There must be an interest in exploring this work, even if it feels small. If there is curiosity. start slowly and find a practitioner who they feel safe and comfortable with, along with someone who will be patient and non judgemental.

I recommend doing some research around what hypnosis is and isn’t because there are a lot of misconceptions out there about it. It’s not what people typically think of when they think of hypnosis. We all experience it every single day in daily life whether we are aware of it or not. Also, up to 95% of our behavior is driven by the subconscious.

When we become aware of them, we can release what is no longer serving us. There was a time in my life when I would have been hesitant to explore this so I understand those that may feel hesitant. I’m grateful to have had the experiences I had because they truly changed my life and now experience a sense of freedom and peace I never thought possible.
