What inspired you to become a Wellness Coach and Resilience Trainer?
My path to wellness coaching started when I was diagnosed with autoimmune health issues in my twenties. Although it felt like I was falling apart I decided to bypass the use of medications and try to heal naturally. I learned how to use food as medicine instead, which was quite different from how I was raised in a Hungarian pharmacist family where medicine was the answer to most issues, and heavy traditional food was the center of the culture.
This approach allowed me to heal and also to understand the root causes of my issues. I knew I was not alone struggling with health issues, so I decided to become a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to help others recover from inflammatory issues as well.
However, I realized that while health coaching goes a long way, there is not enough green juice or salads to fix past traumas, stress, or anxiety that take a physical and emotional toll on our bodies, suppressing our immune systems and fueling inflammation. Building personal resilience comes from emotional awareness and resolving the underlying cause to our patterns, triggers and reactions. Becoming a HeartMath Certified Resilience Trainer has been truly life changing and it inspired me to develop a program to help my clients to build and sustain resilient performance through ‘The Resilient Self’ program.
What type of services do you offer?
I offer individual and group/corporate coaching, Lunch & Learn workshops and Wine & Wellness events as well. Coaching Services run in a package format since ongoing work and accountability are key to success. Just like going to the gym – one workout will not bring you results.
I also have an organic skincare brand for those seeking healthy, glowing and beautiful skin.
How do you assist clients in identifying and addressing barriers to their wellness and resilience?
We go through a health history form and address environmental stressors as well as set goals my clients want to achieve. We then create an individualized plan that best supports those goals. Accountability is key to ensure success, therefore the packages I offer consist of 4-6-8 sessions.
How do you incorporate mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being into your coaching approach?
My approach is all about the above. We start with exercises and worksheets on emotional awareness. We also work on identifying stressors and environmental influencers. Once we understand those circumstances we dive into creating sustainable habits and daily routines to establish a solid foundation to build stronger personal resilience.
What is your overall philosophy on well-being and resilience, and how does it guide your coaching and training approach?
Too many people live in fear of what could, or may or may not happen, and don’t realize how inflammatory and detrimental such emotions can be to their overall well-being. Amongst many things, I teach individuals to tap into their inner balance so they can respond appropriately to stress, maintain energy, and create control.
What do you love most about your profession?
Oh that’s an easy one. It feels fulfilling when I connect, uplift and inspire others and make a positive impact in their lives. It is a humbling and rewarding experience, and gives me a driving force to continue to embrace life’s lessons, practice self love and self respect and serve those who are ready and open to receive my coaching.
