In the realm of wellness coaching, there exists a unique fusion of healing, empowerment, and transformative growth. For Terra Ann, this journey began as a quest for personal fulfillment and evolved into a mission to partner with others on their paths of living well. Today, MysticMag has the pleasure of bringing to you her story and insights in an exclusive interview. Enjoy!
How did you get into coaching and what drew you to it?
Reflecting on the genesis of my coaching career, I always recall a pivotal moment of transition. When I left a retreat center I built in 2017, I felt drawn to this profession to continue serving from the heart in a more intimate experience, while letting go of the stress of running a venue. This shift marked the beginning of a profound exploration into the realms of longer containers with 1:1 clients, for 9 – 12 months to slow down with habits and experiment to create sustainable systems.
What are the main ideas and principles you base your life and wellness coaching on?
At the core of my coaching philosophy lie three fundamental principles: Slowing down for Nervous System Care, Metabolic Care, and Activating Your Heart’s desires. These principles serve as guiding lights, illuminating the path towards healing and transformation for both herself and her clients.
Can you describe a “typical” wellness coaching process? What steps do clients take with you, and what tools or techniques do you use?
When describing the typical wellness coaching process, I like to emphasizes the importance of authentic connection and mutual resonance. We’ll begin with 2-3 meaningful conversations in service to YOUR greatest — and to see if we’re a great fit for each other.” From there, clients embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, exploring tailored strategies and techniques that align with their unique needs and visions.
Can you share a memorable success story?
Among the many success stories woven into my coaching tapestry, one stands out vividly. Henry came to me with gall bladder issues, and he paid me $5,500 USD, where for 9 months we met twice monthly for 90 minutes as he experimented with habits, consumption, and stress. Through dedicated support and guidance, Henry not only found relief from physical symptoms but also rediscovered his passion for music and creative expression.
What are your retreats like?
For those seeking deeper immersion and profound transformation, I offer retreat experiences that are nothing short of transformative. Full attention by me, in paradise. We create your one-day or 5-night VIP experience on Oahu, in the healing islands of Hawai’i. Held in aloha, clients are invited to reconnect with themselves and embark on a journey of self-discovery and renewal.
After years of experience, how do you see your journey from this perspective, looking back at your own evolution?
Every interaction, every client, and every retreat is an opportunity for growth and learning. I’ve evolved as a coach, deepening my understanding of the human experience and refining my approach to supporting others in feeling even better. This dedication to evolution and expansion forms the root of Terra Ann’s coaching practice.
Is there anything else about your work that you’d like to share that we haven’t covered?
Beyond individual coaching and retreats, I want to emphasize the importance of community and connection. Creating a supportive community where individuals can connect, share, and grow together is integral to the coaching process. Whether through group workshops, online forums, or community events, fostering a sense of belonging and support is paramount.
In closing, I want to extend a heartfelt invitation to everyone to embrace the wisdom within and take bold steps towards a life fulfillment. I honor your wisdom within. My practice is to set the container for you to hear yourself think, and connect to your willingness to take your bold next step. With unwavering dedication to the well-being of her clients, my goal is to continue to inspire and empower individuals on their paths to vibrant living.
