In this MysticMag interview, we speak with Tamara Lang, founder of Opening Doors, who has dedicated over a decade to guiding others on their spiritual journeys. From Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology to the Akashic Records, Tamara shares how she helps clients find balance, healing, and a deeper connection to their true selves.
Can you share a few details about yourself and your professional journey?
I am 53 years old, I live in Zurich, Switzerland, and spend the winter months in the Swiss mountains, where I can connect with nature, do winter sports, and recharge my batteries. I was originally a fashion buyer, but my many trips to the Far East sparked my interest in Feng Shui, Traditional Chinese Astrology, and TCM. During my Feng Shui training, I always immediately applied what I had learned at home so that my spirituality was enormously strengthened.
This is how my spiritual path began, which led me to many energetic training courses over the last 15 years until I came across the Akashic Records, which once again fundamentally changed my life for the better and gave me a lot of healing. I have been self-employed with Opening Doors since 2011, I mainly offer Akashic Records seminars and retreats in Switzerland and abroad as well as consultations for Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology, and Akashic Records. I am very grateful that I have found my true calling and can use it to support people on their path in life and strengthen their inner light.
What are the causes of a person’s destiny?
According to Chinese philosophy, there are three energies that determine a person’s destiny: earth energy, star energy, and human energy. Thanks to Feng Shui, we can direct, harmonize, and activate the earth’s energies so that the energies support us in life at home and at work. We are all exposed to stellar energies and we cannot change them. But thanks to Chinese astrology, we know in advance what awaits us in the coming year and prepare ourselves. Thanks to the application of personally good elements in everyday life, we can strengthen ourselves and counteract external influences, especially in difficult times.
Human energy seems to me to be the most important of all, since we ourselves are fully responsible for it and, thanks to the Akashic Records, we can work on ourselves and our topics, cleanse ourselves of old, negative karma, forgive ourselves and other people. Therefore, our personal energy increases, the light and love within us are strengthened, and our heart’s desires come true and we attract good things in life.
What different Feng Shui services do you offer and what can be achieved?
I offer Feng Shui consultations for private individuals, self-employed people, and small companies that are tailored to every budget. The aim of a Feng Shui privat consultation is to improve the energies in the home, to harmonize them, and to activate the good energies so that health, interpersonal relationships, partnerships, professional situations, finances, and much more can be improved.
The aim of a Feng Shui business consultation is to improve the company’s image, increase turnover, strengthen the harmony within the team, create new innovative products and services, and much more. You can often notice significant improvements after implementing Feng Shui measures and the general well-being increases. During the consultations, the rooms are checked for interference zones such as water veins, electrosmog, and negative influences from the neighborhood, which absolutely must be harmonized as they have a very harmful effect on health. I work with the 5 elements (water, wood, fire, earth, and metal), crystals, flower of life, and other energetic objects that fit in perfectly well in any home or office.
What are the fundamentals of Chinese Astrology and how much is it different from Western Astrology?
Like TCM and Feng Shui, Traditional Chinese Astrology is based on the 5 elements water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Western astrology works with the 4 elements water, wood, fire, and air. The Chinese horoscope is calculated completely differently. The predominant elements of the birth year, month, day, and hour are calculated, which interact with each other instead of the planets in Western Astrology, but the results should be the same. However, you can also use the Chinese horoscope to determine the good and bad elements for each person.
Balance plays an important role in Chinese philosophies, but depending on a person’s date of birth, certain elements are very dominant in the horoscope while others are almost or not present at all, which creates an imbalance which is the cause of illnesses and challenges. However, this can be balanced by the person integrating the good elements in life in the form of colors, elements, activities, profession, place of residence, food, etc.
For example, if a person was born in winter in a year in which metal and water predominated, then he will have a lot of water and metal in his horoscope and probably the fire elements will be weak. If one of his good elements is fire, then it would be good for this person to live in a warm country, live in a wooden house with a pointed roof (fire), cook a lot, and often wear clothes in yellow, orange, red, pink, violet colors and pursue a profession that is also associated with the element of fire, such as cooking, candle making, lamp production/business. By integrating the good elements in life, we are supported, we come to our full strength and life begins to flow again. To my knowledge, Western Astrology is unable to do this.
What are the Akashic Records? And what can you tell me about that part of your work?
The word “Akasha” means “ether” in Sanskrit, the Akashic Records are often called the book of life. You can imagine the Akashic Records as a universal, subtle library in which all the knowledge of the past, present, and possible future of all living beings, places, and the entire universe is stored. It is also known as world memory because all of our thoughts, emotions, and actions are recorded there, including those of our past lives. The masters and teachers of the Akashic Records are on this highest, subtle, and divine level and are happy to give us information about our Akashic Records in order to support, heal, and inspire us in life.
In this way, we can find out the cause of problems, blockages, fears, behavioral patterns, addictions, dependencies, and illnesses and also receive solutions. Often our difficulties in life have karmic origins, ie. the cause comes from a previous life and you experience the effect of your actions back then in your current life. Forgiveness plays an important role; being able to forgive others and yourself makes us free and whole. Thanks to the Akashic Records, you can dissolve karma as well as old vows, vows, oaths, and contracts from past lives that still influence us and are a hindrance in our current life.
Traumatic experiences from this life, from childhood, womb, and an ancestral line can also be dissolved, and separated parts of the soul can be reintegrated. The possibilities for working with the Akashic Records are unlimited and serve the highest good of all. Ultimately, it’s about us, with the help of the masters and teachers, exploiting our full potential, optimally implementing our soul plan, finding access to happiness, healing, and abundance, finding our way back to all-love, and living the divine within us.
I can open the Akashic Records with a sacred prayer and give readings for people, who face major challenges in their lives, have health problems, and need clarity and healing. I’m just a channel, the masters and teachers of the Akashic Records answer all the questions of the clients, and provide solutions and healing.
You also organize Akashic Records retreats. What are they like and what can people expect from them?
Yes, I organize Akashic Records seminars and retreats in Switzerland and abroad (Mallorca, Bali, Lamu Island, etc.). The seminars last 4 days, the retreats take a bit longer from 5-8 days as they also include excursions and more free time to enjoy the beautiful hotel and surroundings.
In the Akashic Records training the participants learn how to open and read their own Akashic Records as well as for other people. In addition to the theory and guidelines, there are many exercises on important topics that support their personal and spiritual development so that they can experience a lot of healing and transformation. The participants receive a lot of important information about their topics and how they can solve them, they receive clarity about their current life situation and learn what their next steps are.
We also do meditations, physical exercises, and group rituals to dissolve old, negative group karma, which is very healing. The retreats take place in beautiful places by lakes, in the mountains, countryside, or by the sea, so that the participants can connect with nature, find peace, and recharge their batteries. The participants also have free time to enjoy the hotel, chill by the pool or in the spa, swim in the sea, or go on hikes.
