Can you tell us a bit about your professional career before Tranquil Hypnotherapy?
Before embarking on my journey with Tranquil Hypnotherapy, I had the privilege of pursuing a diverse and enriching professional career. It all began with my passion for the beauty industry, which led me to establish my own successful beauty salon. As a beauty therapist, I found immense joy in helping clients enhance their well-being and confidence through personalized treatments.
Driven by a desire to share my knowledge and expertise, I transitioned into the role of a beauty educator. This allowed me to empower aspiring beauty professionals with the skills and techniques necessary to thrive in the industry. Witnessing their growth and transformation ignited a sense of fulfillment within me.
During my time as an educator, an exciting opportunity emerged at TAFE— an educational institution. Eager to broaden my horizons, I embraced the role of an elearning mentor then elearning officer. This role allowed me to delve into the world of online learning and support educators in effectively incorporating digital tools into their teaching practices. The experience not only deepened my understanding of the transformative power of technology in education but also fueled my passion for online learning.
Building upon my expertise, I then took on the role of an elearning coordinator at a university. Collaborating with dedicated academics, I facilitated their transition into the realm of online learning, ensuring seamless integration of digital resources and platforms. Working alongside a remarkable team, I witnessed the profound impact of technology on education and the immense growth it offered to both educators and students.
However, life has a way of presenting us with new paths and opportunities for personal and professional development. It was during a more recent period, after completing a transformative hypnotherapy program as a client, that I rediscovered the remarkable benefits of hypnotherapy and experienced its profound impact on personal transformation. Through the power of hypnotherapy, I was able to release old, stagnant emotions and embark on a journey towards a newfound sense of empowerment and well-being. “Motivated by my own transformative experience, I felt a deep calling to help others in their journey towards emotional healing and self-discovery. What is the story behind Tranquil Hypnotherapy and how do you help people find inner peace?
At Tranquil Hypnotherapy, our approach to helping clients find inner peace is rooted in understanding their unique story and tailoring our methods to their individual needs. We begin this journey with a complimentary consultation, where I take the time to deeply listen to their life experiences and the presenting issue they are facing. This initial conversation allows me to gain insights into their subconscious mind, where memories, experiences, emotions, morals, and values are stored.
To effectively help my clients, it is crucial to get to the root cause of their challenges. By delving beneath the surface, we can uncover the underlying factors that contribute to their current situation. This personalized approach ensures that we address the core issues, rather than merely treating the symptoms.
Based on our thorough understanding of the client’s unique circumstances, we offer them a tailored program that best suits their needs. This program could consist of 8, 10, or 12 sessions, depending on the complexity and depth of the issue. However, for certain habits or minor concerns, a shorter program of 1 or 2 sessions might be sufficient. At Tranquil Hypnotherapy, we firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to healing and personal growth.
Once the program is initiated, we actively engage clients in their transformational journey. How much do your therapy sessions differ from one another depending on the goal you’re trying to achieve with the client? For example, how much are they different for someone trying to quit smoking and for someone battling with anxiety?
That is a great question and the answer is complex. When someone wants to quit smoking they are asked a series of questions and the session is customised to suit. Most people quit with 1 x 2 hour session and a backup is available if needed. Quitting smoking is usually not attached to deep underlying issues, however, occasionally I do need to work on other issues for the client before they are ready to give up their nicotine habit.
When working with anxiety I mostly use the whole program. In saying that it depends on the consultation and the client’s past history as to how I determine how many sessions and which pathway I will use. Most people who have suffered with anxiety and depression have a history of some negative experiences or trauma that needs to be released.
It’s quite often not the presenting issue that is the problem rather that it is the underlying and past experiences that are creating these symptoms and this is what we start working with. So it’s a little like doing a bit of detective work to then be able to target the underlying cause.
What ideas is your Life Coaching based on?
My life coaching approach is based on a combination of hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Time Line Therapy. These techniques are employed to help clients overcome their past triggers, negative experiences, and traumas, ultimately leading them to an empowered state. By releasing these limiting beliefs, clients can experience a greater sense of empowerment and freedom.
Throughout the coaching process, we focus on goal setting and utilise the power of the subconscious mind. By tapping into the subconscious, we can enable lasting change and create a foundation for achieving desired outcomes. I provide clients with specific tasks and assignments that facilitate permanent change and encourage them to notice differences in their behavior.
Consistency and accountability play crucial roles in the coaching journey. Clients have weekly sessions, during which they share their progress and challenges. Additionally, they remain accountable by sharing their daily tasks and experiences with me. This regular interaction helps to keep clients on track and ensures that they are actively working towards their goals.
By the end of the coaching program, clients typically feel aligned and in tune with their true selves. As a result, achieving their goals becomes easier and, at times, automatic. The integration of hypnotherapy, NLP, and Time Line Therapy, along with consistent support and accountability, empowers clients to make positive and sustainable changes in their lives.
