Can you please introduce yourself to our readers and share a few details about your background?
I am an accredited spiritual healer, meditation guide, and Indigo Essence Practitioner. Having grown up in the UK, I now live in Sydney’s Inner West where I run my healing practice, working with clients both in-person and online. After leaving school I initially found myself working in the financial industry before deciding to go to university to become a teacher. That led me to run a successful maths tutoring business, where I specialised in helping children build their self-confidence.
For a short while, I then worked in the film and television industry as a production accountant and was lucky enough to work on productions such as Footballer’s Wives and Harry Potter. However, I knew that I was looking for more fulfillment in life; luckily, I found my true vocation and began studying various healing modalities. After completing my healing training, I began building my own healing practice in London alongside my tutoring business. I also had the honour of working at Paul’s Cancer Support Centre in London, working with cancer patients and their families to provide much-needed emotional and spiritual support.
What healing techniques and modalities do you use?
I have studied various healing modalities and the modalities I use the most are from my Magnified Healing® training and my healing accreditation, although I am always attending various Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops and adding new tools to my work. I believe that we are all continually evolving and so I am always open to learning exciting new techniques.
I am an empath and I work kinaesthetically, using light touch as I read my client’s energy flow during the session, feeling where their energy is and isn’t moving through their chakras, their body, and their energy system as a whole. This means that I often, initially, feel their physical symptoms in my own body, which shows me where I need to focus the energy flow as we dissolve away old pains and hurts.
I love to include guided visualisations with my healing work as it is a powerful way to assist my clients to let go of old patterns that have been hindering them from moving forwards. When I’m working one-to-one with a client, whether in-person or online, I often feel sensations within my physical body that guide me to the focus of our session together. I work intuitively and am guided by these sensations and feelings I experience during a healing session.
I am also an Indigo Essence Practitioner and when working with clients in my healing studio I use these beautiful essences intuitively to assist them. I then make a personalised essence for them to take away and use at home with the essences used during their session. This supports and amplifies the healing process afterwards.
Can you tell me a bit more about healing for loss or grief specifically?
Healing is such a beautifully gentle way to assist someone who has suffered a loss and is grieving because it is one of the most effective ways of releasing old emotions stored within the body. The beauty is that it is a calming, non-invasive treatment. Navigating loss and grief is such a personal journey and it affects each one of us differently: our moods and emotions can change, fluctuating on a daily or even hourly basis; there are so many layers and emotions to traverse.
For those of us who lose a loving, kind person, we grieve their loss, but for those of us who grieve a person with whom we have had a difficult relationship, it can be more challenging. We mourn the person we would like them to have been or maybe we mourn the fact that we no longer have the opportunity to tell them how we feel – the good, the bad and the ugly. Give yourself permission to feel the whole gamut of emotions that you feel; allow yourself to feel the things you perhaps think you shouldn’t be feeling. It’s okay, feel your feelings and let them pass, let them go.
Grief is a powerful myriad of emotions with physical reactions to the loss of someone or something we value and there is no rule book or prescriptive manual when it comes to dealing with it. All of these seem to weave through several stages and can require us to reach out for a little help to move through what can feel like such overwhelming emotions in a safe and supported way.
We all experience and process our emotions differently and many of us have been taught to ignore them altogether, so we need assistance to learn how to allow ourselves to experience and process them. It is okay to be upset and angry as we open into feeling our feelings; in time we are able to let them go.
We experience life through our thoughts, emotions, and interactions with one another. Our energy flow varies depending on what we are experiencing in any given moment, whether we are aware of it or not, and through the process of healing, we have the assistance we need to release old emotions and begin to raise our energetic vibration.
As we begin to feel our feelings, they move through us with ease, but when we supress them, they get stuck and our energy flow begins to slow, often becoming stagnant and trapped. This stuck energy has an emotional charge which, through healing, we are able to shift and dissolve, releasing it from the body. This enables our energy to flow freely once again, bringing us back into balance.
My work often attracts clients who have experienced loss or grief, those who have experienced bereavement, divorce, and relationship breakups. We know that not dealing with loss or grief effectively can have long-term, serious, and negative follow-on effects. It can impact our relationships, sense of self and self-esteem, even our jobs or professional growth and development. Moving through this process myself when I lost my mother, I was able to find an even deeper degree of compassion and empathy for those who turn to me for support when they are experiencing grief and it enables me to hold space for them to heal and move through it in a nurturing and sensitive way.
Healing calms and soothes the nervous system, helping to bring us back into energetic balance. As we dissolve away the emotional charge behind these experiences, we are able to let go of the feelings of worthlessness, abandonment, self-sabotage etc. We increase our energy flow and begin to raise our vibration, creating change in positive ways.
I love, and am so passionate about, holding space for others, and assisting them on their journeys. My work is to support my clients through the process at their own pace, coming to terms with their loss. Helping them to heal from the grief, abuse, and trauma they have experienced so that they lead happy, healthy, and fulfilled lives. I work with clients from all over the world, in person, via Zoom, or distant healing and I love every minute of it.
What different meditation services and modalities do you offer?
Meditation is amazing! It is the perfect self-care tool. I have been running guided meditation groups and working with clients on a one-to-one basis for over 15 years and I love observing the positive shifts and changes that occur from a regular meditation practice. I delight in assisting my clients in accessing that place of inner stillness deep within. Like healing, there are many varying styles and techniques, but my preference is for guided meditation as it is one of the easiest ways to learn to meditate.
Guided meditation uses imagery to create both a visual and sensory experience, whilst also giving the monkey mind a job to do. This in turn leads to less distraction and it is one of the easiest ways to access a state of deep relaxation.
Those new to meditation often think that we are expected to stop our thoughts altogether, but we are human, our minds are always active. The art of meditation isn’t to stop our thinking but to simply notice that we have become distracted by our thoughts and bring ourselves, once again, back to the focus of our breath. In other words, not to let our thoughts distract us; we choose not to go down the rabbit hole.
My meditations include taking you on journeys out in nature, meditations to soften, open and expand your heart centre, healing meditations (including my signature chakra meditations), and meditations to assist you on your spiritual journey of awakening and expansion. My intention is to take you into this place of inner stillness, and inner calm, giving you the ability to press the reset button and access the wisdom within as you connect ever more deeply to all that you truly are.
Meditation is and should be a joyful experience! It takes time to learn to still your mind, we all have good days and bad days, and meditating in a group creates a gorgeous vibrational energy and amplifies the meditation experience for everyone present, creating a wonderful energy in which to meditate.
All my meditations help my clients to strengthen their ability to ground and centre their energy and learn to be present in the ‘now’ moment. Whether you are new to meditation or have a regular practice it can help take you into a deeper space; many of my clients have reported that my group meditations deepen their own personal practice.
What are Indigo Essences and what makes them unique?
Essences are a form of vibrational healing, which means we use the energy pattern within the essence to assist in the healing process. Indigo Essences are made with the vibrational energy from crystals, so they have a closer resonance with the physical body due to the crystalline structures within the human body. Their soothing vibrations can help us to calm the nervous system and rebalance our energies.
Most essence practitioners work with a variety of different essences, but I love Indigo Essences because they have the ability to work on our emotions in profound ways, offering the potential to change the way you feel, in a safe, gentle, and effective way. They are perfect for both adults and children and a wonderful tool to assist with ‘inner child’ healing work, helping us to heal the child inside ourselves.
When working with clients, I use these essences intuitively and I can feel the shifts beginning to take place as we work together. At the end of our session, I make my client a bespoke essence with those we have used during their healing session. This assists the continuing healing process.
I also offer various pre-prepared mixes, including an essence to help those who have experienced a bereavement and need some support in moving through the different stages of grief, an exam essence to help those studying for and sitting exams, and of course, an essence to aid your meditation practice and others. I also offer tailor-made essences for my clients’ individual needs.
