How did you discover your psychic abilities and when did you first realize you had a connection to the spirit world?
I realized I was sensitive in my late teens. As an empath, I started getting physically ill from other people and visited a psychic for a reading. She helped me understand that I was psychic, and I started training under her after that as a channel. Sometimes we need a mentor to help us understand things that don’t always make sense and she helped me hone my channeling skills, communicating with high guides for information for others.
Spirit, I didn’t connect with until around 2012. I had never wanted to connect with spirit as a channel but I finally was ready to make the leap. I asked my guides if I wanted to start working with spirit and within a week, two girls came into my store. After talking with them for a bit, I did a bit of a mini read for one of them, and it turned out they were the head of a local paranormal investigation team. Doing paranormal investigation became my training ground to working with spirit. I worked with the group for over 4 years as their psychic medium. I asked my guides and they delivered!
What healing techniques do you use?
I truly feel that all of the work that I do comes from a healing perspective. I never saw it that way until recently. I believe that we can heal ourselves and others through so many ways. From a simple smile and taking the time to listen to someone to traditional healing modalities that can be learned. The traditional healing technique that I am trained in is Reiki, which I began in 2002, attaining my Master level in 2014.
I continued my training as a Clinical Hypnotist and Certified Aromatherapist and I also do aromatherapy massage. Both of these modalities, even though they may not seem like healing techniques right away, can play a large part in a person’s healing. I completed a 2-year program at the end of last year as a Spiritual Practitioner in New Thought/Science of Mind Principles and as a Master Psychology Coach that specializes in trauma release. The coaching clients that I have worked with over the past year have learned so much about themselves, how trauma
sits in the body as limiting beliefs and plays out in their lives based on those beliefs through universal laws. As a client heals the trauma, it shifts what they are creating in their lives, gives them an understanding of who they are, and empowers them to make changes necessary to improve their lives.
What does being a spiritual leader entail?
For me, being a spiritual leader simply means walking your talk. If I am asking someone to do something, I had better be willing to do it myself. It is not judging or looking down at others but remembering that we create our own lives, whether we view it as good or bad, it is simply about lessons and growth and we all start somewhere. It isn’t about jumping on a pedestal and thinking you are better than others. We are all in different spots on our own journey of life.
It is being a mentor for those who are trying to find their way and have questions about their own gifts or other spiritual topics. Creating a space where they can openly talk to someone without fear of ridicule.
It is helping them to understand the divine being of who they really are and that they are the creators of their life and do not have to be the product of them, knowing that we do in fact have choices in their life. It is stepping up to the plate when things get hard, following your own principles, and moving through it, no matter what others think.
You also offer Hypnosis Sessions. Can you walk me through one?
As a clinical hypnotist, I can use hypnosis for a variety of different issues and situations for clients. It is simply designing a script that will help them with what they are struggling with.
The majority of the work that I do is helping clients stop smoking, past life regression, sugar addiction, and virtual gastric band hypnosis. Depending on what the client requires, the “script” for their session would be customized. A session would involve explaining what hypnosis is to the client so they can understand it isn’t something foreign, that we actually do it ourselves the time. I find that talking with the client first has a way of putting them at ease as most clients haven’t experienced hypnosis and come in a little anxious as a result.
As a hypnotist, I help my client to relax and enter a deep state of consciousness by asking them to follow simple set of directions. Perhaps having them imagine that a small ball of light is above their head, beaming down a beautiful golden light that begins to relax their muscles, as the light moves through various parts of their body and the client imagines it and begins to relax. The process of helping a client relax can be varied, depending on if they are visual or if they are logical.
Music is used to occupy the conscious mind, the logical, thinking part, and we talk with the subconscious mind, the area of our brain that takes direction easily, especially if it recognizes it is harming itself. The subconscious part of our brain also works with the parasympathetic side of our bodies, which is the part that makes us breathe or walk. We don’t have to think about these things, the mind just does it.
Once they are relaxed, the “script” is introduced with what they require assistance with. This would be customized to what the client requires. Once that process is completed, and the subconscious mind has been imprinted with the script, it is simply bringing a client back to a conscious state of awareness, walking them back up to an awakened state and the subconscious mind does the work according to what it has been told to do. Sometimes one session can assist with what the client requires and other times, it would be a sequence of sessions involved.
You also have a podcast. What topics does it cover and are they related to your work as a psychic medium, healer, and a spiritual leader?
I host a podcast with another psychic medium, Kim Garden called “I AM Divine”, which we started in March of this year. Kim and I connected through the Spiritual Practitioner and Coach program that I took. Spirit told me that I would be working with Kim in the future. At the time, she politely told me it wasn’t going to happen but
here we are, working together and designing training and coaching programs.
We post new episodes every week and the topics range from such topics as “what is an empath”, “connecting with guides and spirit”, “all about the “clairs””, spiritual practices, and other spiritual topics. We also talk from a Spiritual Practitioner, Science of Mind perspective, and Coach perspective such as about universal laws, the creative process, how emotions can manifest in our bodies, manifesting – the good, bad, and ugly, why affirmations don’t work and other topics along this line. We want to share our experiences as Psychic Mediums and Spiritual Practitioners and Coaches to help them understand that the essence of what we are is “Spirit” and as spirit, we are truly divine in who we are.
We invite guests once a month on an episode that we call “My Spiritual Journey”. In these episodes, we have guests share their experiences, those sometimes-darker experiences that led them to “waking up” and walking a spiritual path, awakening who they truly are. We believe that we can learn much from others as they share their personal experiences, and it reminds us that we aren’t alone. To find the light, we typically have to go into the darkest parts of ourselves, take ownership of those situations, and understand that we can choose something different.
Anything else that you’d like to add?
Spirit is guiding me to work more from a healing perspective these days as our world continues to move through the ascension process. I feel truly blessed to help heal people, our communities, and our world, and will continue to learn what I can to in turn assist others and be of service.
