Pamela, what inspired you to pursue a career as an Expert Dream Interpreter and Spiritual Growth Coach, and how has your own journey influenced your work with clients and students?
I began my personal and spiritual growth path back in 1989. Yes, a long time ago. My life instantly went from complete misery to hope and more peace. Four years later, after becoming a certified advanced clinical hypnotherapist, I started my business.
The deeper I went into the self-growth journey and learned different healing modalities, the more changes happened within my business and how I worked with people. I have done massage therapy, energy work, past life regression, body-mind counseling, and became ordained as an inner-faith minister. There was a time when I focused on relationships and put less focus on dream interpretation. Then I became drained and burnt out on the relationship work.
My burnout lesson taught me to put my focus on what makes my heart sing, which is dream interpretation and spiritual growth work! Of course, relationships are a part of both, just not the main theme. The self-employment journey also taught me there are clients and students who want to grow without doing the work; therefore, they are difficult to work with. There are also clients and students who desire to accelerate their personal and spiritual growth, and who are easy and fun to work with. Spending time with these folks brings me joy and energizes me. They’re my ideal clients and students.
An important part of my journey is living my life according to my intuition and nighttime dream messages. And to continue to work on my personal and spiritual growth. This is what I teach and desire my clients to do.
Lately, I’ve been getting messages to focus more on my writing because I can reach more people on the planet through this avenue.
Can you share with us some of the most profound or memorable experiences you’ve had while interpreting dreams or providing psychic readings for your clients?
Hmm, so many to choose from. The one experience that is coming to mind is when I did a psychic reading for a client who wanted what he wanted. Some clients want me to give them a message that they want to hear, but I will only give them what I am receiving.
A male client refused to listen to the messages I was getting and gave me a hard time as he walked to his car. Suddenly, a crow kept dive bombing him. He told me what was happening. I laughed while letting him know crows were my totem and this one was trying to get through to him. Once he accepted what the message was, the crow went away!
Dream interpretation and psychic readings can often touch on deeply personal and sensitive topics. How do you approach these sessions with compassion and integrity, ensuring your clients feel safe and supported?
All my life, I’ve been told how I was naturally therapeutic and this comes into my sessions. People just feel safe with me because I don’t judge them.
Acceptance of who my clients are is part of approaching sessions with compassion and integrity. Even when it goes against my moral code; for example, having an affair with a married man/woman. I allow them to go at their pace. If a client has denial about something, then I won’t push them to look into it. Unless a crow is dive bombing them!
I’m also honest in the messages I am receiving and in interpreting their dreams. When it comes to dream interpretation, I always give more than one interpretation. Sometimes my client will be in denial of the main meaning, which I accept while allowing them to later find out how accurate the interpretation is.
I also have my ethics that I bring into my session. What I mean by this is I have refused clients when they ask me to look into a criminal’s behavior, or give timing of when someone is going to die. If I don’t know something or not getting any psychic information, I’ll be honest and tell them I don’t know or I’m not getting anything.
How do these different modalities complement each other in helping individuals on their personal and spiritual journeys?
These different modalities complement each other because of my experience with dream interpretation and psychic abilities. Many moons ago, my dreams were bringing up unhealed childhood memories to work on and heal. I also was receiving psychic and premonition dreams. After a while, my psychic abilities came into my waking life. These different methods have brought healing, guidance, and wisdom into my life. Plus, I’ve watched clients heal from one or more of these modalities.
Our dreams have different categories; for example, solutions, health, and relationships. The spiritual categories are precognitive, past life, and visitations from our deceased loved ones and other spiritual beings. Psychic readings give solutions for our life directions, relationship, and more. There are times when a psychic will get insights into the future and past. Of course, higher beings and departed loved ones will come into a reading.
Do you see the similarities between dream interpretation and psychic readings? The information is received differently, yet is similar. These insights are very therapeutic and spiritual. A person can use this information to create positive changes in every aspect of their life to grow personally and spiritually.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested in exploring their dreams, intuitive abilities, or spiritual growth but may be unsure of where to start or how to navigate this journey?
I just heard the song lyric, “Follow the yellow brick road,” from The Wizard of Oz. So they need to begin the journey and allow it to take them where it needs to. To begin with, it’s important to keep a record of your dreams to go back to. At the same time, have a record of what you think is your intuition, so you can learn how it comes in and when it’s your ego.
Learning to be quiet for five minutes or more a day is the beginning of meditation. You need to do this to help you with your intuitive abilities and understand your dream meanings.
There’s so much information about these topics on the internet, yet some of it is valuable and others aren’t. Take what feels right and positive and let the rest go. If you want, there’s a wealth of information on my blogs and articles/interviews on the media page at https://pamelacummins.com/ I also have books that are available at all online bookstores.
Remember, it’s all a learning journey and to be kind and gentle to yourself.
