Join us as we delve into the extraordinary journey of Ognjen Ristanović, whose path to becoming a quantum hypnosis practitioner began with a transformative trip to the Sacred Valley in Peru. In his exclusive MysticMag interview, Ognjen shares how a mysterious illness, the influence of Dolores Cannon’s work, and his own experiences with hypnosis and shamanic practices led him to help others discover their true potential and heal through the power of the Higher Self.
What were your professional beginnings like and how did you get into this line of work?
My spiritual journey started in 2016 with the trip to the Sacred Valley in Peru followed by a mysterious illness that forced me into stillness and introspection for quite a while. I only later realised to what extent that whole experience changed me and opened me up, not only to new ways of perceiving reality but also to my own true purpose in this life. The second key moment was the lockdown in 2020, the moment when I truly discovered the work of Dolores Cannon and decided I wanted to become a hypnosis practitioner.
Finally, my own Quantum Hypnosis session gave me the first glimpse of the infinite possibilities that are waiting for us within ourselves. Later on and following my personal past life exploration through hypnosis and self-hypnosis, I was guided to start the shamanic work as well. Also, my engineering background allowed me to acknowledge that science and mysticism can complement one another and help take humanity to a higher level of consciousness.
What makes Quantum Hypnosis (QHHT) different from other forms of hypnosis?
QHHT is a hypnosis method created by the late Dolores Cannon. She called herself the reporter of the lost knowledge. Many people know her books such as “The three waves of volunteers” where she reports on the souls that decided to incarnate on Earth to help raise its vibration and help humanity evolve towards a higher level of consciousness. I would say that the most important difference between QHHT and the other forms of hypnosis is the direct experience of the connection with the Higher Self that happens in a QHHT session.
For most of my clients, it’s a completely new experience and it gives them a completely new perspective and answers to their questions. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to feel the beautiful healing energies that the Higher Self brings into the session. It also acts as an opening that makes it easier for the clients to receive messages from their Higher Self after the session. I act as a guide in this process but it’s the client that has the direct experience which is what makes it so valuable in my opinion. It is empowering to remember how powerful we are and I often witness a remarkable transformation of the client after the session.
Sometimes the effects are more subtle and I receive a call months after the session from the client telling me about a big breakthrough in their life that just happened. Another difference between QHHT and other forms of hypnosis is that the time needed for the QHHT session is significantly longer since the goal is for the client to receive the most important messages and answers in a single session.
Can you walk me through a QHHT session?
Without giving too much away since it can create unnecessary expectations, this is how a typical session looks like. The client generally comes for a session with a list of questions or topics they would like to cover. Any question they have can be on the list but there are certain questions that come up more often. These revolve around their purpose in life, the feeling of being stuck and not being able to move forward and the physical ailments. At the beginning of the session, we spend some time looking at and chatting about their life story so far. Then they go through the hypnosis and we end the session with a debrief of their experience.
An average session lasts at least 5 hours. The important thing to mention is that each session is different and tailored to the needs of the client by their Higher Self. That means that sometimes the QHHT session will include a past life regression but other times the Higher Self might show the situation from the client’s childhood because that’s more important for them to see at that moment. They are always shown only that which is appropriate in their current situation and related to the challenges they are going through. Sometimes a client comes with a long list of questions but then their Higher Self delivers many messages related to topics that weren’t at all on the list! Also, there are no prerequisites when it comes to QHHT. It is a very natural process and everyone is capable of experiencing it!
What does the term “higher self” mean to you and what role does it play in your work?
Higher Self is a part of us that has the bigger picture and all the answers to our questions. It is always loving and compassionate and guides us so that we can fulfil our true potential, align with our purpose in life and be who we truly are, without holding back. The Higher Self is communicating with us all the time, the only question is how aware we are to be able to perceive the messages. It is always with us, it’s just that we forget that at the beginning of our physical experience on Earth, and then we need to remember.
The good news is that, either through hypnosis, meditation, or other similar practices, we can re-establish that connection and evolve into more conscious, aware, and compassionate human beings. I offer programs that include QHHT but also other practices such as meditation, yoga nidra, and shamanic healing with the aim for the Higher Self connection and inner transformation to take place.
You are also a shamanic practitioner. What can you tell me about that part of your work?
This is the work that I’m very excited about. From the shamanic perspective, everything is alive and is spirit. As a shamanic practitioner, I work with my helping spirits to help the client establish harmony, well-being and receive answers to their questions. In order to achieve this, I go on what is known as a shamanic journey by entering an altered state of consciousness often referred to as non-ordinary reality. The power and the information from the spirits is then brought back to help the client.
What exactly happens in a shamanic session will depend on the needs of the client and it will always be for their highest good. For instance, sometimes they will need to re-integrate certain qualities of their soul that detached from it due to a traumatic event. Connecting with the helping spirits, with nature and Mother Earth has been a very deep and rewarding experience for me personally. Shamanic practices help us connect with our ancestors and the ancestral knowledge that the planet would greatly benefit from at this moment.
Is there anything else about your work that you’d like to share that we haven’t covered?
I feel that it’s important to acknowledge that, by connecting with our higher selves, we are raising our level of consciousness and vibration but also contributing to the collective consciousness and the vibration of the planet. We have a beautiful opportunity to make use of the powerful energies that currently abound by making ourselves more receptive and the Higher Self connection is one of the efficient ways to achieve that.
