Monika Puiu hails from Austria, where she enjoyed a sheltered and supportive upbringing that instilled a deep sense of responsibility in her. Early on, Monika was drawn to astrology, embarking on a journey of self-discovery in the 1970s. This exploration led her to karmic astrology, energy work, meditation, and eventually, a profound connection with crystals, which opened the door to shamanism and energetic practices.
Her shamanic path took root through her engagement with the “Spirit of the Inca” and the transformative energy medicine she received from Chris Waters and her team in England and Romania. This transformation served as a strong foundation for her leadership journey, grounding her in the natural laws that govern life on Earth.
Monika’s quest for knowledge took her to Peru, where she learned from the Paqos and the land itself, uncovering countless stories and life mysteries. Her travels also extended to Russia’s Tuva Republic, where she immersed herself in the wisdom and ceremonial traditions of local shamans, gaining a deeper understanding of the diverse expressions of working with the same universal source.

How does Karmic Astrology provide insights into an individual’s past life experiences and their potential impact on their current life circumstances?
A karmic astrology reading usually starts with past life experiences, resources, and possible things that are left to be finished in this life.
Relating to this I have to say that for the present life’s journey, we have chosen certain lifetimes where we had events and relations and happenings that we want to work with again. We re-inform ourselves through our parents, society, the period of life on earth, and the circumstances we are born into. Perhaps I repeat myself, but it is important to say, that what happens to us in the present life, most probably in some form or other has happened before and we work yet again on the same root subject.
Imagine you have a large wardrobe with many very different outfits and every outfit represents a past life. When choosing to come again, you go to your wardrobe and choose the outfits you need in order to learn during that life, what you have decided to go deeper into the subject and add to your knowledge. Comparing this to a journey on earth, when you go to Paris you will choose certain outfits, totally different from those you would choose for a journey through the Sahara.
In a karmic astrology reading, among many other areas, I will talk about these ‘outfits’ that the person chose to bring with him/her. Next would be to look at the area of learning the way you learn and what you want to realize during your life on earth. Sometimes the past life luggage does not really fit into this life’s realization.
A karmic astrology reading is never about me reading what the client already knows, but all about finding together what is not yet known or seeing things from a new perspective, changing the angle, and changing the response to what happens in the client’s life.
Could you share an example of how Experiential Astrology has helped someone gain a deeper understanding of their current life challenges and opportunities?
Experiential astrology is a therapy, a constellation based on the birth chart. I lay out the chart on the floor and the owner of the chart steps right into it middle. Being surrounded by the energies you chose to come with, can be quite overwhelming!
In one-on-one therapy, I will go from planet to planet, sun, moon, Chiron, moon’s nodes, and Lilith and we feel the energies, communicate what we feel and if there is something to be cleared, we clear it right away. In a workshop, I am placing people in the places of the planets and asking about their feelings, emotions, and how they are in the body. It is all about feeling and expressing what emotions are going through your body, rather than thinking. During the constellation, the mind is set to rest and we let the body express all there is. This work is also excellent to learn and express what you feel in a non-violent, non-accusative way.
One example from my practice: A young man – compared to me – came to a one-to-one session of experiential astrology. We went through the chart and I really do not remember what we cleared other than when we arrived at Chiron. There I started to feel really uneasy, could not stand still, all my right side went totally heavy and I had the urge to run, to escape, to do something else. My client did not feel anything like this. I searched the energies around me and found a place with my right hand, where there was somebody present. I asked my client, showing him my palm, who that person is. He looked at my palm and said this was his father. He told me about his relation with his father and that it was very difficult for him to live up to the expectations of the father, the absence of the father in childhood, and his own feeling of being not good enough. I encouraged him to express loud and clear and from a place of his own needs and much love, what he would like to say to his father. It was a painful process for my client, but in the end, he cleared his position and forgiveness could take place. My client said after the session that he has never spoken to his father like this, and always avoided expressing his own needs and his feelings of inferiority.
Speaking from your heart is releasing a lot of tension and what has been expressed once, remains in the energy field. Even if the two of them never spoke about these subjects face to face, the old patterns are changed forever.
It is not unusual to find relatives, whether they are still in their human form or in spirit, coming up with clear subjects and letting go of burdens that were taken over from generations. I find unexpressed needs, blockages, emotional drainage, shame, guilt, sadness, and self-accusations of all kinds. Becoming aware of such emotions and limiting beliefs is the best start to clear, consciously clearing them in such a therapy leads to profound healing.
My teacher for experiential astrology was Judy Hall, and I had about 15 years of courses and workshops with her. I am deeply grateful for her teachings, her mentoring me, and her friendship. She has returned to the light and is still inspiring me in my work every day.
Can you explain the key principles behind guided meditation for manifestation and how it differs from other meditation practices? What is one specific technique or approach you use in guided meditation to help individuals manifest their intentions?
Meditation practices differ from person to person, those who initiate a meditation and those who meditate. I can explain what I am doing and what makes it important for me to guide meditations.
Also, this work goes back to the lectures of Judy Hall. During workshops with her, she would guide meditations and I had the most wonderful journeys with her. When I was confronted with the need to change perspective in a client’s life, I started to guide them in meditation. My meditations are not only for manifestation. With the weekly group meditation, we explore our own inner garden, our heritage, our brothers and sisters from the star nations, and many areas more. We let ourselves be guided and do not accept the limitations of our minds.
There is one key principle that I follow in every guided meditation for manifestation and that is gratitude. Showing gratitude to everything and everyone involved in the process. Showing gratitude for having already manifested the desired project. I will best describe this principle with an example.
Let’s say you want to start a new business, you are already midway to realizing it and you meet more and more obstacles. Before I would ask a few questions about the project itself. We start the meditation by visualizing how the resources came to be within Mother Earth, thanking her for her abundance of resources, then we go through all the steps of producing parts or services that are needed, always showing the most gratitude to the people involved, imagine their families and all those who benefit from each step, arriving at your part in the whole chain of events, feeling gratitude to yourself for the energy already invested and the energy you are going to invest until full manifestation, and we thank the clients and consumers of the goods or services that are part of your project, imagining how it will make their life easier or happier. How all this path inspires people to create themselves projects. You see the whole network of people, goods, and places you are influencing with your project and show your gratitude and everyone and everything. Finally, you listen to yourself giving the good news that your project is fully manifested to your partner, children, or any person you would inform in your life about it. A similar process is to create a Despacho as they do in the Andean traditions.
How do shamanic ceremonies contribute to spiritual healing and personal transformation, and what role do they play in bridging the gap between different realms of existence?
The way I do shamanic healing therapies is to clear and clean the energy field from heavy energy and then bring balance, where a person fell out of balance on a soul level. Whatever the reason for a therapy, the root of it is often very deep. Here I come back to what I said earlier about karmic astrology readings. We repeat a pattern until we have learned what we wanted to learn. Shamanic therapy helps to bring forward the initial event and brings balance from there. Besides the basics, we might recover a part of the soul that left just in time of trauma and remained uninformed by the traumatic event. There is a time to recover such parts, when we are ready to let go of the suffering induced by the trauma. We might clear entities and infestations of all kinds of energies.
I would best describe when and why I myself go for shamanic therapy.
As a child, I had a neuralgic inflammation in my legs and as a result, I was very sensitive to cold in the legs, especially in the ankles. Going barefooted would almost certainly lead to half a night awake, not being able to hold my legs still. When I came across the shamanic teachings that I undergo, I asked a colleague for a healing session. During the session, I had to walk a pass and my legs got frozen. The scenery seemed to be in the bronze age. My therapist took off boots of ice from my legs. This happened about 8 years ago. About 2 years ago I had another session with a very different subject and I felt my connection to earth was re-installed meaning that a blockage in my ankles was removed that kept energy from coming up from the earth into my body. Clearly those therapies, years apart cleared my ankles and now I always walk barefoot in my healing center, summer and winter and I do not have any problems sleeping at night. My legs do not need to somatize anymore.
Could you describe a traditional shamanic therapy session you’ve facilitated and the effects it had on the participant’s well-being?
Shamanic therapy starts with an interview and a talk about the subject the client wants to work on. There might be more than one subject and it is not unusual that in the end, they have the same root. I work in a sacred space, offer my mesa stones, and my kuias to the client to select one for the session, and ask the client to introduce him/herself to the kuia by exhaling into it. Our breath is the best introduction to the energetic world, it carries the information of who we are now in this very moment. During the interview, I will bring the client to describe what happened, where he/she feels it in the body, and how long it stayed there. Whenever something comes up that is energetically charged, he/she exhales it into the kuia. During this talk, I started to track the energetic field and often I get an indication of what is to be done. After this brief interview, I ask my client to lie down and I will search for the chakra that we need to work with. Once the chakra is detected I open it and place the kuia he/she informed on that chakra. Then we breathe together, in through the nose, out through the mouth. Every exhale brings more of the information to the surface and into the kuia that is on the open chakra. When the time is right, I start the clearing process. I travel to the underworld and get information there on what is to be done. I might get an indication to also travel to the upper world. All that process is guided by what is necessary for the client. My own ego and my will are left to rest. My guidance comes from the archetypes, the elements, the guardians of the underworld and the upper world, and the higher self of my client. I clear heavy energy, thought patterns, and eventually entities or parts of the soul that were trapped in a certain lifetime. The process ends with bringing healing light into the chakra that we worked on and by disconnecting from the freeze and flight mode the client is in as a result of the trauma. When the client is back to everyday awareness we work on the integration of the new status that he/she is in and usually, this integration process takes about one month. This is why I do not indicate having shamanic therapy more often than once a month. The integration process afterward is a very important part of the process because often we are very used to the state we were in for such a long time and we tend to bring ourselves back into our old stories and suffering. Suffering might define us and we stick to our stories instead of letting go.
Meditations, shamanic therapies, and karmic astrology readings are working very well online.
