Your mission is to help individuals release their creative potential and manifest the life they want. Can you share some key principles or techniques that you believe are essential for unlocking creative potential and achieving one’s heartfelt dreams?
The main tip I’d like to share is the importance of authenticity when setting your intentions. Take the time to slow down and listen to your intuition. Try to set aside the demands of others and the pressures of survival, as challenging as that can be. Instead, let your true self come to the forefront and allow it to speak. Creating vision boards is a creative process that engages with your unconscious mind, helping to unlock your intuition. I’ve found that journaling or physically making a vision board, cutting and pasting images onto a board, can really get your creative juices flowing and create the opportunity to allow that authentic self to speak.
Your intentions would better serve you and be easier to manifest if they stem from your authentic self. Intentionally connecting with your inner voice is the key to fostering creativity and bringing positive manifestations into your life.
You describe yourself as a Renaissance Woman, with a diverse set of skills and experiences. What inspired you to create your own tools, techniques, and methodologies, and how have they personally transformed your life?
I was an incredibly creative kid with dreams of attending art school and becoming a painter. Despite being discouraged and told I’d live a life of poverty, I was determined to pursue my passion. College wasn’t easy; I had to take several years off going to school and work for a year to recover financially before continuing. To stay focused, I turned to creative visualization and vision boards. These tools played a crucial role in my journey. I lived in New York City as a painter, working night shifts so I could spend my days painting and going to museums and galleries. My life resembled that of a true artist, just as I’d envisioned.
However, my path took a tech-savvy turn, and I began creating vision boards using digital platforms. My first vision board was on WordPress, where I transformed it into a vision board blog site. I needed constant reminders, motivation, and positivity to support my dreams, especially because I have ADHD, which could lead me down spirals of distraction. I utilized physical and digital vision boards, eventually settling on PowerPoint and Keynote for creating digital vision boards, which I prefer to call “manifesting media.”
I’ve come to believe that achieving your goals requires three essential elements: action, attraction, and adaption. Action is self-explanatory, attraction involves drawing your desires toward you, and adaption entails creating a new identity to attain your goals, almost like adopting an alter ego. These three elements, along with various visualization techniques, became essential in my journey. Given my background of living an alternative lifestyle, I had to develop tools and techniques to overcome unique obstacles. I developed this creative visualization methodology of the 3 A’s of adaptation, attraction, and action as it played a pivotal role in my transformation. You can find more details about these concepts on my website.
Your materials and coaching programs are designed for customization and authenticity. How do you guide individuals in finding what truly resonates with them on a deep and authentic level when creating their vision for a fulfilling life?
My professional background includes developing learning style assessments, and I co-founded an employee development assessment tool in Silicon Valley that reveals how a person’s energy flows and where it recedes in any task or process. I’ve been using these tools intuitively since my teenage years, and people are often receptive to them. When working with clients, I also delve into their astrological charts, consulting the ephemeris to understand where they currently stand and where their potential lies. I align this with their vision board to see how well it reflects their aspirations.
In addition to these tools, I’ve had the privilege of working with a philosopher named John Voris for the past decade. He’s been a mentor to me, and he developed a life theme assessment that identifies four core life themes: love, justice, wisdom, and power. This assessment also explores related concepts like authentic identity. Having this arsenal of tools allows me to meet people where they are on their journey. I can adapt my approach, whether it’s a corporate, data-driven one or a more spiritual, intuitive method. These tools work because they are tailored to the individual, whether they are skeptics or firm believers in these practices.
As a creative genius, you’ve experienced the ups and downs of pursuing various dreams. Could you share a specific example of a dream you’ve made come true using your own techniques and methodologies, and how this experience shaped your approach to coaching and helping others?
There have been two significant moments in my life that truly reinforced my belief in the power of intention and these tools. The first major breakthrough came when I decided to move to New York City. I was determined to make it happen, so I started looking for jobs and apartments in the New York Times, even though they didn’t seem to align at first. I kept visualizing myself living in the city, and that determination paid off. I met someone who had a rent-controlled apartment in Chelsea, which I managed to secure for just $110 a month – an absolute steal, especially in New York City.
This experience affirmed the incredible potential of intention and visualization in my life. It wasn’t about material wealth or grandeur for me; I’m a deeply spiritual person. I seek experiences that allow me to spread more love and fulfill my calling. Over the years, I’ve been able to pursue various passions, from becoming a musician to an entrepreneur. I’ve always had to set intentions, believe in them, take action, and put in the effort to achieve these goals. My journey also led me to create the first vision board clip art book, unintentionally sparking a movement in the process.
I may not have a mansion, but I can genuinely say that I’m one of the happiest and kindest individuals I know, and that’s worth more to me than anything else.
You offer unique vision board parties, both virtual and in-person, where attendees can learn to create meaningful vision boards. What makes these vision board parties special, and can you describe how they contribute to personal transformation and manifestation?
I have a unique set of skills that make me particularly effective at facilitating vision board workshops. First and foremost, I have a strong background in art and teaching, which comes naturally to me. I’ve also conducted dozens of corporate workshops, so I’m adept at managing groups, keeping things on track, and ensuring events run smoothly and efficiently.
However, my most significant asset in this realm is my ability to interpret vision boards. Drawing on my background in symbolism and art therapy, I can read between the lines of what participants place on their boards. I look at the relationships between different elements, understanding the subtle connections and unconscious messages. Often, individuals don’t even realize why they’re placing certain items in specific areas, so I guide them to gain insight. This interpretation process is incredibly powerful because it helps participants recognize the magic at play in their vision boards.
When I share these interpretations with participants (with their consent, of course), it adds a layer of depth to the experience. People start taking the process more seriously and appreciate the profound symbolism at work in their boards. It fosters a deeper understanding of each other’s intentions and aspirations, creating a beautiful sense of connection and shared purpose among participants. It’s a truly transformative and meaningful experience for all involved.
