MysticMag chats with Lori MacLean, a seasoned Psychic Intuitive and Afterlife Reader with a wealth of experience spanning several decades. With a profound connection to the spiritual realm, Lori has dedicated her life to the practice of psychic mediumship.
Can you share some insights into your journey of becoming a psychic medium and afterlife reader?
Psychic ability runs in both sides of my family, so for me as a child it was quite normal to experience paranormal events, premonitions, and get afterlife visits from relatives who had passed. When I was 17 years old, I started actively developing my intuition and psychic ability further on a more intentional level. But it has always been there; it is just part of what makes me “me.”
What initially drew you to this spiritual path, and how has your practice evolved over the decades?
When I was six years old, my father took me to the Westchester County fair at the Yonkers Raceway in New York. There was a numbers wheel gambling game and my dad kept asking me what numbers were going to hit next, and he kept winning and winning. It got to the point where the wheel operator shut down the game he got so upset. LOL that was a start.
Oh, I remember in high school helping a friend tune in to what was on her boyfriend’s mind. I actually was able to tell her about a conversation that she had he had the night before regarding him being adopted.
As someone with extensive experience in psychic mediumship, what advice do you have for individuals who may be new to seeking psychic insights?
As far as teaching yourself how to develop your psychic abilities or other spiritual avenues you want to explore, get the best teachers out there and learn all you can from them. Take their workshops, attend their events, buy their books, listen to their meditative exercises.
How can they best prepare themselves for a phone reading with you or any other psychic intuitive?
It is important to stay open to who may be coming through in the event of an afterlife visit. Sometimes, the person they want to come through the most may not come through all or they may come through last. It’s important to acknowledge the other people who are coming through. The loudest ones get through first. Whether you are doing an afterlife reading, or a psychic, tarot reading, it is important to stay open to the messages coming through. Be open to what your future holds.
The realm of psychic readings can cover a wide range of life areas. Could you give us some examples of the types of questions or concerns that clients typically bring to you for guidance?
Usually the questions are will I get that job, what am I meant to do, who am I going to marry, when will I have children? Where do you see me living? Do I stay in my present relationship or leave? Are you picking up anything regarding my health? Those tend to be the most common. The less common ones are where did I leave my glasses? Where are my car keys? Yes, I usually find those.
How do you approach providing clarity and insight in these different areas?
What is my method? I start with some pranic breathing, inhaling, white, healing positive light, and exhaling any negative energy I may be holding. Then I open up my chakras after doing a self protection meditation and prayer work, I call in my guides, and I’m good to go!
I always ask God to put the right words in my mouth before I answer anyone.
Maintaining confidentiality is crucial in your line of work. How do you ensure that your clients’ personal information and experiences remain private while still offering them the enlightenment they seek through your readings?
I’ve been doing readings for over 30 years at this point, most of my clients have been with me for a very long time. New clients are usually referrals based on existing clients. They know they can trust me. After I do a reading I send them screenshots of the notes, and then I destroy the notes. 1000% confidential.
After practicing psychic mediumship for so many years, what continues to inspire and fascinate you about your spiritual work?
There is always something new to explore and learn. Helping people never gets tiring. I remember my soul mama, Winni, telling me years ago, we are only here to be beacons of light for others. That’s really what a lightworker is.
