MysticMag chats with Kerry, the guiding force behind Chi-quilibrium. With a deep passion for spiritual healing and well-being, Kerry believes in the power of finding balance in life. Kerry’s own pursuit of equilibrium has led to personal discoveries that have proven invaluable, and she now shares her passion and experience with others as they embark on their own healing journeys.
Could you tell us more about the intention behind Chi-quilibrium and how it aims to help individuals find balance in terms of spiritual healing and overall well-being?
I wanted to create a well-being center where people can come and receive healing. When clients walk into the room, they instantly feel a sense of relaxation. The calming surroundings, including the color of the walls, are intentionally designed to help individuals relax, which is crucial for their healing journey.
There is a strong connection between physical and spiritual healing. Often, what manifests in the body can be addressed by exploring the mind. When people are able to let go and delve deeper into the healing process, it can take them to the next level of healing.
How does Chi-quilibrium approach the concept of healing, both for spiritual and physical pain? Are there specific modalities or practices that are incorporated into your offerings?
I offer Reiki healing and tarot reading, and I have a deep passion for both practices. My journey with Reiki began as a means to heal myself, and the experience was truly eye-opening. It ignited a desire within me to share this healing energy with others. One of the aspects I value most about both Reiki and tarot is the art of listening. It’s not just about the physical techniques or the cards themselves; it’s about creating a space where my clients can openly express themselves. When they walk through the door, they feel a sense of comfort and safety, knowing that whatever they share will remain confidential.
During a Reiki session, I adopt a hands-on approach, but it’s not just about me channeling energy. It’s about connecting with the individual and tuning in to their specific needs. I also tap into my spirit guides and gatekeeper, allowing additional guidance to flow through me. I pay attention to every detail during a session, from physical sensations like heat or tingling to repetitive words or visual imagery that arise.
Each client and session is unique, and even with repeat clients, the experience varies. I trust my intuition and instincts, exploring any messages or visions that come up, as they often hold significance for the individual’s healing journey.
Tarot Readings are not too dissimilar, in that I connect in the same way and allow myself to be connected. Often Clients can be at a crossroads in their life and card readings can bring to the forefront pain and memories from the past and perhaps what is blocking them from moving forward is unexpected. I continue to talk with the client throughout the reading and am respectful to their emotions. There is a responsibility to say what comes through and to not dismiss anything as it may be of relevance to the client. I have learnt to go with any visions, thoughts and links I see and feel.
It’s a mesmerizing and beautiful process, and I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to share these psychic practices with my Reiki and Tarot clients.
In your own journey of personal growth, what are some elements or practices that you have found particularly useful in maintaining balance and well-being?
Certainly, practicing Reiki on myself is incredibly important to me. It’s a beautiful experience to sit in the garden, connecting with nature and grounding myself. Feeling the grass beneath my feet and channeling Reiki brings a deep sense of inner calm. I firmly believe in practicing what I preach, so self-care is a priority for me.
Tarot reading is another aspect of my practice that I explore personally. I often pull tarot cards for myself, staying in tune with my tools and deepening my connection with them. It’s important to be aligned with what I practice so that I can offer my best to others. Sometimes, I’ll shuffle my tarot cards and pull a card for a quick reading for a friend or receive messages for myself. It keeps me fresh and alert, always striving to do my best. Exploring other fields of interest is also a part of my journey.
Crystals have been with me since I first learned to drive and visited hippy shops in Newquay. I still have those crystals, and they hold a special place in my heart. Aventurine is one crystal that I connect with regularly. I take time for myself, lying on my Reiki couch and meditating. I completely let go and lose myself in the experience, finding balance and rejuvenation. Sometimes, before starting a Reiki session with a client, I begin with a mini meditation to help them relax and bring their energy levels down if needed. It’s all about creating a space of calm and healing.
As you continue to develop your own personal growth, how do you ensure that you stay connected with your clients’ needs and tailor your offerings to meet their unique requirements on their individual journeys?
Absolutely! Sometimes, with regular clients whom I am attuned to energetically, I have this intuitive feeling before or during a session that crystals would be beneficial. I will check with them if it’s okay, and if they agree, I’ll bring in specific crystals. It could be chakra stones or a particular crystal to enhance, for example, their solar plexus energy. I might also surround them with clear quartz points to help draw away any unwanted energies. It’s a focused and intentional use of crystals to support their healing process.
Meditation plays a significant role in my practice as well. If a client’s energy is high at the beginning of a Reiki session, I’ll start with a calming meditation to help them relax and find a sense of peace.
I’ve noticed a growing number of women coming to me who are going through perimenopause or menopause. To cater to their specific needs, I have created a dedicated “Menopause Session” within their medical records. During these sessions, I provide a bowl of crystals from which they can intuitively choose their own crystals. They also select an incense stick that resonates with them. It’s a personalized experience tailored to their individual requirements at that moment.
I incorporate the chosen crystals into the Reiki session, and afterward, the client pulls an Oracle card. During our post-session conversation, I share with them what I felt during the Reiki, as well as the healing properties of the specific crystals they chose and the meaning of the Oracle card. It’s incredible how often those properties align with the symptoms they are experiencing. They find it truly magical and leave with lifted spirits, knowing they have been genuinely cared for during the session. It’s a beautiful experience to provide such nurturing and personalized care, leaving them feeling supported and uplifted.
On my FaceBook page you can often find Kerry’s Coffee Art appear once a month. I am notoriously bad at producing the perfect leaf or heart crema. What began in 2022 as a simple posting of a “what do you see in the crema”, has developed into me translating each person’s vision of what they see, into a tailored reading. It’s fun, free and uplifting, it links my followers with me, it keeps me developing my intuition in a different format and I get wonderful feedback of how well my reading resonates with the person who posted their answer.
In further developing my own journey, I provide a monthly closed group “Whimple Spiritual & Psychic Circle” where we gather to practice all manner of intuitive work. I created it with my good friend Barbara Hennessy of Beacon Tarot in March 2022 as we both wanted a place to explore and share with others.
In January 2023 I took over sole responsibility and relish the excitement of creating the calendar for the following months. So far in 2023 we have worked with Cleansing & Protection, Colours, Crystals, been joined by Shane Affleck leading a Clairvoyant session, worked with some of the Sabbats and have so much more for the months ahead.
Every month we hold space for each other, and are open to ideas and listening to people’s individual experiences. The calm surroundings Chi-quilibrium offers for healing sessions floods into Circle evenings. I am currently working on Litha which will be a celebration of the Summer Solstice and as always there will be a sprinkle of Kerry magik so everyone will leave with a sparkle.
So I guess as I continue to develop and grow I not only provide all that I discover and enhance with my clients but also provide a safe haven for other like-minded spiritual souls to journey along with me.
