Your metaphysical studies began on a whim at a conference in Miami. Can you share more about how that moment ignited your lifelong passion for intuitive and psychic development?

When I was 25, I was working as a waitress in a health food restaurant in Miami Beach. One of the women, who worked there, Kristin, who had a mother who was a medium, who invited me to accompany her to a convention being hosted in Miami by Spiritual Fellowship Frontiers, a National metaphysically based organization.  At the meeting, different speakers were talking about things I had never heard of before, such, —auras and all sorts of fascinating topics. Then, one of the presenters said something that stuck with me: “People only use 10% of their mind. The rest is spiritual.” That was the key that got me started. It inspired me to begin taking classes and seeking out teachers. That was the beginning of my journey. As I delved deeper, I realized that everyone has this ability. It’s just a matter of trusting it.

You believe everyone is psychic. What are some of the first steps you recommend to people who want to tap into their psychic potential?

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I believe the only way to truly tap into it is through meditation—there’s no other way. When you meditate, you connect with your higher self. Your mind becomes clear, and you can distinguish the messages you’re receiving. Now, meditation is just the first step. But there are many other steps you can take. For example, you can get a deck of Oracle cards—not tarot cards, but Oracle cards. Ask a question, turn over a random card, and look for three symbols that answer your question. Another method is to join an online group or take classes where you can find people to practice with. One excellent exercise is called ‘psychometry’, where you hold someone else’s item and see what messages you receive from it. All of these methods can work, but meditation remains the most effective way to begin.

What type of services do you offer?

I have a Meetup group that meets online and has 4,700 members. I offer this as a service where people can come and speak.

I’ve been a reader for about 50 years and provide intuitive counseling. I also work with the I Ching. Are you familiar with it? It’s an incredible divination system that is over 5,000 years old. I learned it from a Lakota shaman 29 years ago. It’s a form of divination where you throw coins and connect deeply with yourself.

Another thing I love to do is belief shifting, which helps people identify and change self-sabotaging beliefs, many of which originate in childhood. This allows them to manifest their desires more effectively.

I also teach a variety of classes and offer mentoring. My classes include psychic development, healing, meditation, and manifestation.

Those are the main services I offer.

With skills ranging from Tarot and Reiki to counseling and meditation, how do you determine which modality to use during a reading or teaching session?

I love that question. It’s interesting because I’m so connected to the I Ching that, usually, when someone wants a reading, the first thing my intuition suggests is the I Ching. However, if there’s a belief holding them back, I might focus on belief shifting instead.

The thing about Reiki is fascinating. When I was 50, I took Reiki Level 3: Master Teacher training. But I didn’t use it right away because I started channeling instead. I ended up taking the course two more times. So, while I do consider myself a Reiki practitioner, I use it more for the energy it provides to support my readings rather than as a standalone practice.

In a nutshell, it’s all about what the client needs at the moment. Some people come in and don’t want the I Ching—they prefer Tarot instead. So, I adapt based on the situation and their specific needs.

You’ve lectured extensively on gemstones and crystals. How do you incorporate their energies into your readings and teachings?

The use of crystals in my classes depends on the type of class. For instance, I’ll often discuss a specific type of crystal and its properties. Sometimes, during a reading, I’ll recommend a crystal based on the client’s needs. For example, last week, I was doing a reading for someone at a shop who struggled with self-love. I suggested she get a rose quartz crystal.

If someone is feeling scattered and ungrounded, I might recommend a dark stone like obsidian, black tourmaline, or shungite. It really depends on the situation because crystals are such an integral part of everything—they carry energy that can help in so many ways.

Ultimately, I base my recommendations on what the situation requires.
