Can you please introduce yourself to our readers and tell us about your professional background?

Initially, I started out learning foot reflexology and also going to massage school. I have managed vitamin/herb stores and then my interest grew into learning Reiki and studying the different levels. Along the way, I also studied detoxification of the body through lymphatic work both in lymphatic drainage wraps and manual drainage, and also deep dove into essential oils and aromatherapy. After twenty years, I trained in Conscious Connected Breathwork, HeartMath, Sound Baths, and YogaFaith, which is a faith-based way to lead traditional yoga classes. I also utilize a galvanic wellness scanner in my office so I can still help people on an emotional and energetic level and create validation for what they feel on an emotional level, and also see how it correlates to their different systems of the body. It is a great way to see just what our bodies want and need.

What sparked your interest in HeartMath?

I studied HeartMath because I was so fascinated and intrigued by the heart-brain connection and wanted to help people find a new normal to live in more ease, love, and appreciation as well as I love how our heart sends more signals to our brain than our brain to our heart. I also strongly believe HeartMath techniques can help prevent diseases or slow them down. I believe my father, who suffers from a form of dementia similar to Alzheimer’s, could have benefited from HeartMath many years before as I strongly believe our stress and anger levels affect our brain’s health and have a direct effect on our brain function and memory loss. HeartMath, which is heart-focused breathing, can be used by many, even when other forms of breathwork may be too intense. This is a calm form of centered breathing that can be done by all.

You are also a sound therapist. What can a person expect from your sound therapy sessions?

Sound therapy sessions have such great benefits for our body. It can calm the body, create better sleep afterwards, and reduce inflammation just to name a few. I personally have developed chronic inflammation over the past five years and during the gong bath training I did, my inflammation was greatly lessened, and I had one of the soundest nights of sleep I had in quite a while.

Your services also include hypnotherapy sessions. Can you tell us a bit more about that part of your job?

I have a couple of ways I do hypnotherapy with clients. One is used with our “Wisdom Center”. Our conscious and subconscious can actually work together when asked and can help us heal, and make changes in our life when allowed. We just need to speak to this part of our mind and come to an agreement that allows us to move forward and make changes for our optimum well-being in whatever we are going through. Whether that be emotional eating, self-doubt, or insecurities. We have the ability to correct and speak to our minds through our hearts, similar to HeartMath in some regards. When we give permission to allow ourselves to heal. I think sometimes we use our hearts and our minds as a shield, a way of defense instead of allowing our hearts and minds to help heal us, to align with each other within for our greater good.

We have total capability to work through much when given the proper space and time and place from within so that we can make positive permanent changes for our greatest good. Offering timeline therapy allows us to go back and create a new story, resolve the broken parts of our life, and realize that the story we told ourselves then is not the story that defines us. In fact, it may have never been our story at all, just the way at the time our younger self perceived what was happening and attached to it. Hypnotherapy allows us to flip and find the positive, and replace the negatives with positives so that we can have a different future.

How do you implement HeartMath techniques into different services that you offer?

I give Heartmath techniques options to clients because I strongly believe that HeartMath techniques have a place in everyday life and a great place where we can utilize love, appreciation, and gratitude within and throughout our day-to-day lives. Heartmath techniques can be done as quickly as seconds to minutes to do and can help us in a time of stress or trauma, or they can just bring us back into a peaceful state of being.

How do you measure success and can you share some success stories?

I measure success in that I have been given these gifts of learning and knowledge to help others so anytime someone is helped for the greatest good of themselves and their well-being, to me, that’s success. I believe we are on this earth to give back. I like to be the reason someone smiles today. Success is if I can do that for someone or teach them or share with them how to help themselves and, perhaps, motivate others to do the same.
