An Attorney, a Podcast Host, and a Psychic Medium at the same time – Jason Zuk, The Social Psychic, sits down with MysticMag to discuss his unique story, his intuitive abilities, his podcast, and more. Read this one to find out what separates him from other psychic readers.
When and how did you first discover your gifts?
I first discovered that I had my intuitive abilities at an early age of like 5 years old when I always had “déjà vu” moments. My family cautioned me to keep this information to myself. Then as a young adult, I always had a premonition that when my maternal grandfather died I would be by myself with no one to condone me (eight years before my grandfather died). In August 2004, my grandfather had a stroke and I got to visit with him the day after his stroke. Then I traveled to cover a deposition (for my legal job) and wound up overnight in Barryboo, Wisconsin. That night my grandfather died and he came to me as orbs of light on 8/12/04. My grandfather spoke to me telepathically and told me “Son, I Love you. Don’t worry about me. I’m always with you. Go get something to eat.”. Because of that, I went to the local Panera Bread nearby for dinner and my best friend from high school “Tracy” called me to check on me. When I told her that my grandfather died she was like “Where are you?” I was like I’m in Wisconsin and she was like “That’s just like your premonition.”
Then I sensed that she was skeptical for the first time. I was like Tracy I sense you doubt what I’m telling you. She was like “Yeah it is hard to conceive what you are saying.” Then I was like what if I could tell you something from your deceased grandmother and she was like “You can’t do that my grandmother has been dead for six months.” So I then I told her something that only she and her deceased grandmother knew about and she dropped the phone and her future husband grabbed the phone and asked “What did you tell Tracy? She’s crying in the bathroom.” A second later Tracy picked up the phone and said “How did you know that only my grandmother and I knew about that.” And that is how I realized that I was a psychic medium for the first time. I slept with the lights on for like 10 years until I settled into being a psychic medium.
Why the name “The Social Psychic”? Does it have a story behind it and what’s the social aspect of your work?
In 2012, I had a premonition dream where I was in a large public venue with a few hundred people gathered. In my dream, I asked this woman with long blond hair and dreamcatcher earrings “Who is here?” She said “Jason Zuk, The Social Psychic is here. He’s promoting his show and signing autographs and reading for people.”From this dream, I knew that I would call myself Jason Zuk the Social Psychic because my grandfather’s last name is Zukovich and it made sense to shorten it to Zuk.
I didn’t realize that the ”Social” Part of my name had greater significance until June 2020 when George Floyd was murdered, and I got involved in protesting against his murder and against police brutality and systemic racism. I decided to participate in the protests when I mediated and asked my spirit guides what I should do about George Floyd’s murder and they said “Use your voice to promote social justice themes on your show, you have a platform and you should use it to interview advocates and those who champion the plight of those impacted by these issues. Have guests on your show who are experts in this area and who are passionate about social justice reform in this world.”, so I participated in my first protest and it changed my outlook on a lot of things in my life.
From participating in the five protests that I did, I realized that I should use my platform (my podcast) to promote ideas associated with Social Justice Reform and against police brutality as a part of my regular programming. The social aspect of my work relates to advocating for social spirituality and for justice reform and to use my platform to be on the right side of history on the issues of racism, hatred, bigotry, violence, and oppression. As a result, I have made it my goal to use my podcast to promote the themes of inclusivity and equality. In 2022, I won 5 awards for podcasting in the social justice realm and for having programs that promote the themes of equality, inclusion, and activism.
Can you walk us through one of your psychic reading sessions?
I can read energy either in person, by text, by phone, or via Zoom. During most of my readings, I generally conduct my psychic readings remotely by phone or Zoom. A client will contact me and ask me for a reading. I offer readings in 20 minutes and 30-minute formats. I take three deep breaths and then connect to my client. I use a notepad and pen to write down any information that comes to me and will ask my client what areas they want me to focus on. For 30 minutes I usually focus on 3 areas like LOVE, CAREER, and FINANCES.
Each client comes to me with a unique issue(s). I have learned that the purpose of my readings is to provide the benefits of clarity, reassurance, and healing in some way to my clients. As a medium, I enjoy connecting my clients to their deceased loved ones who come in to comfort the client on current issues impacting their life. I have a great deal of satisfaction offering readings to my clients outside of my legal position as an Attorney which I consider my “day job.” I give readings on evenings and weekends. One of the common themes to death you mention on your website is that time does not exist on the other side. Can you please elaborate on that concept?
I strongly believe that time doesn’t exist on the other side after we die. This is something that has been impressed upon me by thousands of deceased loved ones that I have picked up on during my readings and interactions as a psychic medium since 2004. It is my understanding that time is a human construct and that when we die time does not follow us to the other side. I also have picked up on this fact since our deceased loved ones can reference future events which haven’t happened yet. Time, matter, and space exist for us but don’t exist in the afterlife.
What sets you apart from other psychic readers?
What I believe sets me apart from other psychic readers relates to the fact that I am an attorney licensed in five states, a psychic medium and intuitive, and a podcaster. I believe that these roles help me to work closely with my clients when I read for them and to operate from a place where I can manage and maintain ethics while being psychic. As lawyers, we are bound to the highest ideals of ethics and as a psychic, I seek to maintain the same ethics when I do readings with my clients.
You also host a radio show/podcast. What topics do you cover and are they related to your work and gifts as a Psychic Medium?
I have two podcasts: The Social Psychic Radio Show and Psychic Visions Podcast with my best friend and co-host Megan Kane. Both shows are signed with Electracast Media in Los Angeles. The Social Psychic Radio Show covers various spiritual topics like meditation, life after death, energy healing, breathwork, etc. After George Floyd was murdered in June 2020, I decided to expand the program for my show to include social justice issues as well as promoting inclusivity, BLM, Equality, and tolerance. Psychic Visions focuses on spirituality, life after death, personal development, and more.
