Inspired by this knowledge, Howard is dedicated to sharing what he learned and helping others tap into their power to achieve their dreams. Through his books, speeches, and coaching, Howard has touched the lives of thousands, empowering them to find greater peace, fulfillment, and success. MysticMag finds out more.

Howard, could you share more about your personal journey and the pivotal moment in 2002 that led to your profound shift in consciousness?

When I was just 14, my uncle took me on a camping trip near the Canadian border. It was my first time experiencing true silence, and as I stood at the end of a dock, gazing at the still lake before me, I noticed lights shining across its surface. Looking up, I was awestruck by the vast canopy of stars above me. This moment sparked a profound curiosity in me about life’s deeper meaning. Despite later achieving what society deemed as milestones—college, marriage, children, and a successful career—I felt unsettled. In my mid-30s, I reached a breaking point, realizing that material success did not equate to happiness.
Desperate for answers, I attended a seminar where I learned about the power of thoughts, feelings, and actions in shaping our experiences. This revelation, coupled with a newfound openness to understanding life’s mysteries, led to a transformative experience in 2002. It felt as if the universe was answering my earlier questions, pouring insights into my mind. Overwhelmed by this profound shift, I dedicated myself to sharing this knowledge with others. My journey has taught me that every individual has the potential to tap into this universal wisdom, a belief that drives my work today.

What inspired you to write your books, “I AM: The Power of Discovering Who You Really Are” and “TIME IN A BOTTLE: Mastering The Experience of Life,” and what message do you hope readers take away from them?

“I AM” was born out of my second profound experience, where I received a powerful download of insights. I made it my mission to translate this revelation into a mainstream voice, avoiding overly esoteric or scientific language. Despite encountering many rabbit holes of esoteric knowledge and scientific theories, I wanted to remain true to myself— a husband, father, and baseball coach— while delivering these profound concepts. When the publisher asked for more, I shared a piece on time that had been edited out of “I Am.” This piece, which later became “Time in a Bottle,” explores how our perception of time can either expand or collapse based on our awareness and openness to receive insights. I hope that readers of both books come to realize the immense power within themselves. Through self-reflection, which some shy away from due to fear of guilt, shame, or regret, we can reveal our true, perfect self, unlock deeper understandings, liberate our soul from suffering, and experience our authentic creative power.

As a Spiritual Teacher and Peak Performance Coach, how do you help individuals tap into their true ability and power to overcome life’s challenges and achieve success?

When “I Am” was published, I was already deeply involved in working with individuals from all walks of life, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, and relationships. I found myself counseling couples, assisting teenagers facing challenges, and even helping athletes enhance their performance. Athletes, in particular, reached out to me after reading my book, sharing how it had positively impacted their performance. Given my lifelong involvement in sports, transitioning to work with athletes was a natural fit. Whether working with athletes or individuals, my approach remains the same: I guide them to expand their awareness, which in turn expands their identity and opens up new possibilities. By helping them recognize and overcome limiting beliefs, I enable them to unleash more of their true talent when it matters most. This shift in mindset allows athletes to perform at their peak by aligning their mind with these new possibilities.

Can you explain the concept of “knowing thyself” and how it relates to harnessing our creative power to accomplish our dreams and desires?

This is a profound question that resonates across various philosophical and spiritual traditions. The ancient Greeks, along with many others like Buddha, have highlighted the importance of self-discovery and introspection. What I’ve found, and what these teachings underscore, is that all the answers we seek are already within us. The key is to be willing to engage in deep self-inquiry and reflection in order to truly understand our own selves and our nature. The understanding and awareness of this nature is the empowerment.

My work is designed to facilitate this process, acting as a catalyst to help individuals explore and comprehend their inner workings. By understanding how we think, feel, and operate, we gain insight into the structure of our identity and our lives. This introspection not only helps us answer personal questions but also provides insights into broader existential queries. Practices like mindfulness, often starting with meditation, are valuable because they quiet the mind and allow our intuition and awareness to surface. To “know thyself” is to delve into who you are and why you are, free from resistance, or the false concepts of shame, or guilt. In my upcoming third book, I emphasize that if we could have done better at any point in our lives, we would have. Understanding this brings about a sense of liberation and excitement for the newfound worth, love and the possibilities that this new self-appreciation unleashes. It allows us to examine our past selves without fear, understanding the influences that shaped us, such as family upbringing or genetic predispositions. Taking responsibility for our actions is important, but it doesn’t imply that there is anything inherently wrong with us. Remembering our inherent perfection from the day we were born fosters a sense of love and joy, facilitating a smoother journey of self-awareness, self-discovery, and self-creation.

How do you approach coaching individuals, including college and professional athletes, CEOs, and corporate executives, to help them achieve greater peace, empowerment, and fulfillment in their lives?

By getting them to see a grander version of who they really are. That truth is always driving their experience. This approach is tailored to meet them exactly where they are. For example, in a Major League Baseball locker room, I focus on mental strength and how it can directly impact performance. I discuss concepts that can enhance their focus, speed, and awareness, helping them locate pitches better and make split-second decisions with confidence. Whether I’m working with pitchers, batters, quarterbacks, or kickers, I aim to understand their individual needs and bring them the right tools to help them progress of mind from their current perceived limits to beyond them. If someone is more inclined towards spirituality, I can delve into deeper metaphysical concepts, guiding them to understand how these ideas relate to their actions and responses in various circumstances.
My ultimate goal in all of this is to help individuals realize the untapped potential within themselves. I often begin or end my speeches with a powerful quote that encapsulates this idea: “If you knew how powerful you really are, you would never stop smiling.” This quote also serves as the opening statement in my upcoming book, “INVINCIBLE – The Mindset of Infinite Potential and the Secret to Inevitable Success.” This work is not just about reading; it’s about engaging in deep contemplation and allowing the ideas to truly transform you. I believe that this approach is impactful, easily understood, and has the power to create profound positive changes in those who engage with it.
