What inspired you to create Sanctuary, an app that combines daily sun & rising horoscopes, monthly horoscopes, and a complete planetary profile with a focus on user education through free learning materials?

We were inspired to create an app that met our audience where they were at in their astrology journey–many people were inspired by their horoscope or birth chart, and wanted to go deeper. We wanted to provide them the tools and resources to do that in an accessible, friendly way. We worked with experts every step of the way, to make it feel like there’s an astrologer in your pocket, there to answer your questions, and help you navigate the universe every day.

Could you share some insights into the process of curating and delivering daily horoscopes and tarot readings to users? How do you ensure the accuracy and relevance of this content?

We’re thrilled to work with a wonderful selection of astrologers who team up with Sanctuary to write our daily, weekly, monthly and yearly horoscopes. This brilliant team of experts collaborates with our creative team to ensure that our audience had access to insights every day to help them navigate the universe. Our tarot content features the same process, and everything is reviewed by our editorial team so that every day’s horoscope and tarot card brings you a new insight to guide your way.

What type of services do you offer?

We offer access to a wide range of experts from around the world, including astrologers, tarot readers, psychic, human design readers, reiki practitioners, and more. The ability to find the perfect fit for your unique needs and journey is something that both we and our experts value. We also have a larger library of articles and tools like our birth chart, human design chart, and compatibility calculator to help our app users explore the universe of all these practices on their own, too. With the ability to go beyond the daily and monthly horoscopes into weekly and yearly horoscopes in our Sanctuary+ subscription as well, there’s many ways to satisfy your cosmic curiosity in the app.

The app offers a diverse range of horoscope content. How do you strike a balance between personalization and the universality of horoscopes to cater to a broad audience?

Our first guiding principle is astrology itself—by offering birth charts to users and horoscopes for both sun and rising signs, we’re able to personalize our horoscopes to their unique birth chart. We focus on the movement of the planets and the impacts on the houses to ensure the horoscopes feel impactful and tangible, and listen to feedback from our audience as well. We’re always looking for ways to add additional personalization to our app to help make the complexities of astrology as accessible as possible, rather than unapproachable or aloof. Our goal is to help you touch your own stars.

User engagement is crucial in the world of apps. What strategies or features have you implemented to keep users coming back to Sanctuary regularly?

The Sanctuary app is constantly evolving to meet users where they are, expanding the universe of offerings. We’ve added more horoscopes, and tarot, as well as a compatibility calculator, based on the interests of our community. We’ve also revised and expanded our library of articles, allowing our audience to explore a wide range of topics from astrology basics and current transits to newer topics like energy healing and human design. There’s so much to do in the app—even your birth chart is full of possibilities to uncover new information about yourself, from the houses to the planets. We aim to make all of it as interactive and easy to use as we can, even as it grows.

Can you provide insight into your long-term vision for Sanctuary? Are there any exciting developments or features in the pipeline that users can look forward to?

With the newest updates to the Sanctuary app, you can look forward to a growing wealth of astrology information and more in our Explore section of the app, where all our new content lives. We also will continue to expand the ways our users can connect with their favorite experts readers, whether astrologers and tarot readers to psychics and human design readers.

As we work to expand access to the many ways that our users can learn and find guidance, we’re always looking for new ways to grow. One of these paths is our recent website launch, where you can now connect with our readers from any desktop or mobile device. We’ve very excited about this new development, and hope our audience enjoys it too.
