Can you share a few details about yourself and your professional journey?
I moved to California in my late 20s. After around 10 years there, I discovered the world of personal development and transformational work. The Bay Area of California, in particular, is full of people doing things like that. For example, there was the Esalen Institute, which is near Monterey. They were pioneers of Gestalt psychology, and that was an important influence on the personal development movement. Then we had Richard Bandler and John Grinder in Santa Cruz, young graduate students who were watching a lot of videotapes of master therapists, two people in particular – Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson. From watching these videos, they came up with a way to model what they were doing that was making them so successful. That gave us the foundation of NLP. Then there was Werner Erhard, who came up with the modern seminar of intensive weekend transformational experience called Est, Erhard Seminars Training. It was a template for a weekend intensive transformational course, which many other organizations emulated.
We had all these things happening in the Bay area, and I discovered a lot of these different threads and their descendants through different groups and became pretty interested in all of that stuff. Around 2004, I started diving into these different areas to explore all these transformational modalities. One of my teachers put it this way: all of us, meaning the people that are in the transformation world, we’re all selling Now. We are selling these tools and technologies for how to be here Now.
Different practitioners focus on different areas. Some are focused more on sensuality and the second chakra, while others put emphasis on the heart, connection, and community. Others were more focused on the mental side of things. But, they are all working on ways to be here Now.
That was basically how I got involved in things like this. After that, I did many different kinds of trainings. What I explored most deeply are the 3 things that I offer services for now: Transformational NLP, VortexHealing®, and Family Constellations.
Over time, one of those 3 became far more prominent in my work and also became the center of my personal spiritual journey, and that’s VortexHealing® Divine Energy Healing. However, the other 2 are still amazing tools and come in very handy, and they give me the option to have other ways of looking at things.
How does VortexHealing® work?
VortexHealing® is very interesting. In a nutshell, it’s a divine lineage of healing and awakening. When you’re using the tools of VortexHealing®, you’re channeling Divine energy and Divine consciousness to heal and transform. The quality of the energy from these divine sources and the way they impact various parts of the energy system, as well as the human psyche, makes for a very powerful tool. However, what really puts it over the top is the divine consciousness aspect, which is really critical. From the perspective of VortexHealing®, many dis-eases and all of our emotional issues are a result of separation consciousness in one form or another, whether it’s related to how we experience ourselves psychologically or in our physical bodies and our energy systems.
The divine consciousness aspect can really heal and transform areas of us that are locked into experiencing separation. Only something that is not coming from separation can heal that separation, and the only thing that’s not part of that separation is the Divine. That’s why we use Divine consciousness and Divine energy, which are the tools of VortexHealing®.
What is Transformational NLP?
Transformational NLP is the lineage of NLP that I was trained in. It’s the upper level of NLP training at the NLP Marin, where I trained. They have different tiers of practitioners: NLP Practitioner, NLP Master Practitioner, and NLP Transformational Practitioner, which is my tier. In a nutshell, there are many things that make NLP Marin unique. They go beyond the traditional NLP toolkit. In the early days of NLP, it reacted against formalistic approaches in psychology. The pioneers of it (Bandler and Grinder) said that they could change somebody in a week and they could do amazing work, without being an experienced professional. It had validity, too. However, they were also iconoclastic and dismissive towards the knowledge and wisdom that psychology has built up over decades.
On the other hand, NLP Marin acknowledges that there’s value in some of those materials and wants to preserve it and use it to its advantage in regards to doing the NLP work. There are these different frames of reference that inform how to apply the baseline NLP toolkit. These different paradigms or distinctions build up like layers of sediment and give you a comprehensive and stable foundation for looking at and working with the totality of someone.
Some other NLP trainings take you through a week of training and give you some scripts that you’re just supposed to read through with someone. Then, you’re expected to magically change the person’s experience. That can work sometimes, but what NLP Marin does through Transformational NLP relies on in-depth, structured conversations lasting two hours or more. This personalized approach contrasts with larger-scale interventions, such as Tony Robbins’ work with hundreds of people, often using physical anchors. While these methods have their merits, Transformational NLP’s uniqueness lies in its individualized, deep, and comprehensive set of lenses through which it examines the human condition. This personalized and comprehensive approach is what makes Transformational NLP unique.
What can you tell me about the Family Constellations?
Out of all the three services that I offer, family constellations are the thing that I probably use the least. That said, some people make it their primary transformational tool and they are very interesting. The analogy that I use for them is the following. Imagine a piece of cardboard with some magnets hidden under it. Looking from the top, you can’t see where the magnets are, but if you take some iron filings and throw them across the cardboard, they will bunch up where the magnets are underneath the cardboard, even though you can’t visibly see the magnets.
Family constellations are a way to use human beings as iron filings, as a way to reveal the energetic topography within a system of human beings. This can be applied to human beings in any kind of group. There are people who focus on family constellations in a business context, but its primary use is related to working with people in the family context. The interesting and unique thing about it is that it can work with aspects of a family system with respect to people who are no longer in physical form, but still leave ripples in the family system, if you will. Another analogy I use is that disturbances upstream can create effects downstream. In that light, family constellations are a way to reveal those upstream disturbances and provide a format for resolving them. They can be very deep and powerful.
The classical form of doing family constellations requires a lot of people to serve as representatives. However, a skilled representative, someone who is energetically sensitive and can step in and out of various positions, can do some of the work that traditional family constellations would do on their own. While this is the thing I have the least experience in out of the three, family constellations provide me with another perspective and another way to look at people and their situations.
Can you share a memorable success story?
The vast majority of the work that I do at this point is VortexHealing® and one of the most memorable experiences that I had was one of the first ones that I used at the current level of healing tools that I have. In VortexHealing®, there are a lot of classes, probably around 40 of them, which are very hierarchical and they build on each other. It can take years to get through them. Getting to the top-level healing tool where I’m at would take a minimum of 5 years or so. In that light, what I’m going to describe to you is not something that a beginning practitioner would be able to do. However, this is a result that I was able to get soon after I got the current top-level healing tools.
I was contacted by a client who was having really intense menopausal hot flashes, 5 or 6 times a day, and they were very intense. It was really impacting her life. She had tried various approaches before that, from acupuncture, supplements, and even bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. However, none of them really made a difference or had an impact. On the other hand, I did two hours of healing work on her remotely (she was on the East Coast of the United States) and a week later, the hot flashes were gone! That’s just one example, and I have many more. But results like this are an example of what I consider success in my line of work.
