This week Mystic Mag’s Miguel Amado talked with Dana Plant, from Essential Healing Services. In the conversation she presented the diverse set of treatments she offers, including the Wellpoint Hypnosis Method, and we approached other subjects that deserve your attention!
Please present yourself to our audience.
My name is Dana Plant and I affectionately go by Destiny Dana. I read the destiny cards system as well as the Tarot cards. I’ve been doing professional psychic readings for over 35 years, including as an original member of the Psychic Friends Network in the early 90’s.
You are a metaphysical mentor trained in various areas of psychic works. Is intuition something you can train or were you born with a special gift?
I believe it was both. I was brought up in a strict military environment, which gave me nothing to base any of my experiences, although I later found out that my grandmother was raised at the Theosophical society, where they really taught a lot about meditation, yoga, and natural arts. I am also a Pisces, so I believe I was naturally inclined to them.
When I got to my teenage years, I started having some experiences that really told me that there was more to life than meets the eye. So, that’s what piqued my curiosity. I didn’t know where I was going with it, but I was really interested in self-knowledge. I was into Astrology and had some experiences that I knew things without knowing how I knew them, more surprisingly, when I was in danger or trouble: I’d just know where and when not to go, for instance.
Then, I had an argument with my boyfriend when I was 19, and he had an out of body experience in front of me. I knew he was not dead, but he wasn’t there. It was like his body was a shell. This event woke me up into finding out what it was about.
As I got older, I started my quest. In my early 20’s, I was given this book “Your Place in the Cards” and I couldn’t believe it when I read my destiny card, because it was something that could tell me why I am the way I am. From that point on, I started getting more into metaphysics, studying crystal healing, energy healing, Tarot cards…
I was self-taught at that point and spent a lot of time studying Tarot cards and the destiny cards system. But it wasn’t until 10 years of studying that I became a professional and started working at the Psychic Friends Network doing readings professionally. This quest has put me on my path and I haven’t looked back!
What is the Wellpoint Hypnosis Method that you offer to your clients?
I am really excited about this. I’ve spent this whole COVID time going back to school to learn and the Wellpoint Hypnosis Method dropped on my lap. I was never interested in hypnosis before because I don’t trust and like the idea of someone imprinting messages in my subconscious. But this is different: this is a spiritual hypnosis program, in which they use sound healing music to bring the body and brain into a coherent, receptive state. Then, the Wellpoint allows the person to access their own higher self or soul consciousness realm.
I am basically the tour guide and help them by asking the questions that they want to ask of their higher self, so that they go directly to the source. It’s not somebody doing it for them, and I love that idea. After being a psychic reader for all these years, I am used to telling people things, so the Wellpoint Hypnosis Method lets me ask questions so that people get the direct information. This is interesting because as far as psychic readings go, it is important that the person feels safe. I take it as great responsibility, like holding people’s hearts in my hands.
When somebody comes to me for a reading, I know they are ready. It’s not a quick fix, they need to do their inner work. So, what I like about the hypnosis method is that they free themselves and get to connect directly. A lot of healing happens in those sessions and it is a beautiful thing. It consists of helping people help themselves.
You wrote on your blog that 2021 is the year of great change. What do you see coming for this year?
In Numerology, this is a “5” year (2+2+1). Number 5 has to do with “freedom through change” in numerology. It’s funny that my Tarot card for my life reading is also a number five – it’s the Tarot card of the Hierophant. The Hierophant walks the mystical path with practical feet.
Because of all we’ve been through and the past year, I really feel that we are moving into a whole new direction. Astrology supports it too: in December of 2020, it was like the changing of the guard, we are moving into Aquarius energy now, which is ruling technology and higher realms of communication. So, I feel like we did need to slow down to integrate where we are going.
I am excited about the future but people who aren’t willing to change or move out of their comfort zones are probably going to have a harder time than others with more flexibility. That’s what I meant by that.
What types of concerns do people bring to you lately?
From what I’ve seen, it’s always the same: love, money and health. But hopefully we are letting go of the old habits, like old codependency relationships.
Would you like to share a message with our readers in these difficult times?
My biggest message is love yourself. Be open to new experiences and reclaim your power. That’s going to be helpful. Also, really stay grounded during this year for the time of changes. Have a lot of compassion for other people, because we don’t really know what anybody is going through.
