Awakening the Soul Through Art and Shamanic Practices with Damini Celebre

Awakening the Soul Through Art and Shamanic Practices with Damini Celebre

In this MysticMag interview, we had the pleasure of speaking with Damini Celebre, a multi-faceted Artist, Shamanic practitioner, and energy healer. Damini shares her journey into healing through Shamanism and creativity, and how she integrates energy medicine with artistic expression to help individuals reconnect with their inner landscapes and align with their soul’s path. Who is Damini Celebre? What is your personal story, and how did you get into this line of work?

Hi, I’m Damini Celebre, an Artist, Shamanic practitioner, energy healer, and acupuncturist. I’ve been exploring the realms of Healing and Creativity from a young age. My first forays into energy medicine were inspired by my mother, who had a natural healing gift similar to reiki; I would spend my days trying to heal sick animals (some did recover).

As an empath and introvert, I have found ways to soothe myself and keep humanity’s concavity at bay by being with Nature and doing anything visually creative. As I shifted from an artist path to a healer in my late 20s, I was first introduced to Shamanism in my last year of acupuncture school. (If I learned about Shamanism first, I probably wouldn’t have pursued the Chinese medical path.)

What is Soulscape?

As many of you know, once you step into a healing journey, it is a lifetime journey – sometimes blissful and often intense. The creative process is always my companion in the healing journey. Over time, I combined Shamanism, Acupuncture, and Creativity into all my offerings: I call this my transformational trifecta.

Our body holds the road map for our transformation. Our mind can have an agenda, but it sometimes makes things linear or holds us up. If we follow the body—follow our Heart’s YES!—we follow our Soul’s inner guidance and not our mind, which often tries to keep us safe by keeping us stuck in limiting patterns and holding us back from owning our power.

2016, during a shamanic journey, I asked my Guides what my next step was. During that journey, I saw a big pink book filled with paintings and steps to invite folks on a personal transformational healing journey. Then they showed me the title Painting The Landscape of Your Soul. I spent the next year birthing that book.

Our Soulscape combines our inner realms of feelings, emotions, intuitive guidance, and how we connect with our outer landscape, Nature, and the web of life. These connections support us in living fully and authentically. This combination of healing work, energy management, and Somatic Creativity gives us ways to understand the patterns that limit us and how to show up as our brightest best selves and allow our Souls to SHINE. All those modalities help us explore, understand, and honor all the many facets of our Soul’s landscape.

What exactly is Shamanic Energy Medicine, and what are its benefits?

Shamanic Energy Medicine uses energy healing, creativity, and shamanic ceremonies to help us unlock our souls’ paths, whether through remote sessions, classes, or my book.

In sessions, I invite the client to think about the things they love, those that define them, those stories that hold them back, and their deepest dreams. Then, I connect with my guides to clear, move, and realign the energy. Then, I give them a simple drawing, a talisman, that holds the vibration of their highest self to meditate on and help maintain the vibration of the session. Shamanic Drawings ARE energy, a road map, and a vibrational directional roadmap back to their highest vibration. That talisman keeps reminding their BodyMindSpriritSoul to keep moving toward their truth.

Shamanic Energy Medicine helps realign us to our Soul’s truth, which brings more joy, authenticity, and ease into all aspects of our lives.

You are also an artist. What kind of artwork do you create?

In my formal artistic practice, I use all of who I am and what I know to create artwork that invites us to remember that Everything Is Alive And Has Spirit: Trees, Rocks, Water, Air, Land, and Animals, to name a few.

I am often called to a particular Place or Being to create with, frequently as a painting and more recently as a sculpture. (A tree I love asked me to make a 9ft ceramic version of its energy; I call it the Cosmic Mother Tree!)

I begin all art with the intention of joining into a co-creative dialogue—a call and response with that Land or Being while sitting in front of it. Each piece starts with a ceremony, deep love, and acknowledgment for that Being. I start with “Hello, thanks for allowing me to be here and connect with you. How would you like your energy expressed?”

Once the conversation has started, I draw and paint the energy experience and then continue the painting in the studio, continuing this dialogue as I complete the work. My work often has many visible layers, recalling how we remember, connect, and hold relationships with the Web of Life.

What other services do you offer?

As a Shamanic Artist and practitioner, my works share how Land allows us to experience its true Nature (in that moment and throughout my life experience filter). This co-creative visual dialogue helps folks remember that everything is Alive And Has Spirit, bringing us closer to a sense of oneness and unity. This remembrance will help save our planet and us.

I offer live—online workshops, memberships, downloadable classes, and remote private healing sessions, all to help your SoulShine!

Is there anything else that you’d like to add that we haven’t covered?
