How did your personal journey, from the messy to the beautiful, inspire you to become an intuitive energy healer? Can you share a pivotal moment that led you to this path?
As I believe is true for a lot of people who work within ‘the healer’ archetype, our power tends to have been born from our pain – this is certainly true for me at least.
For a few years, I lived on a drama-fuelled Cambodian party island. My lifelong pattern of self-destructive avoidance came to a head one night after I took a heavy amount of scripts whilst very drunk. I was fine, but it fully showcased the level of broken I was at, and this was the turning point that landed me back in the UK. Years spent running away to “find myself” had placed me miles back from square one more lost, confused and unstable than ever. This was 6 years ago, and as difficult as the process was and cliche as it sounds, my breaking truly was the making of me.
Reconnecting with and discovering new aspects of spirituality saved me, it was the only thing that made sense to me – still is. Deep soul searching, intensive shadow work and continuously educating myself in various areas of the weird and wonderful paved the path for me to find myself and unearth my calling.
Without it who knows what version of myself I would be now, luckily this isn’t something I need to worry about. I can finally say I love myself and am proud of who I am. This is why I do what I do, I want to help others who feel as lost as I did find their way home to the love they hold within themselves.
And a massive shout out to Fia for the beautiful lyrics; ‘the messy & the beautiful’ is from one of my favourite songs. It is tattooed on my arm to give me a daily reminder of the duality of human life here on Earth.
In your practice, you mention offering “heart medicine.” Could you elaborate on what this means to you and how it plays a role in the self-discovery and healing process for your clients?
The heart chakra acts as the bridge between the physical (the lower three chakras) and the spiritual (the upper three chakras), it is our Buddha nature, the space within us that determines how we love, forgive and empathize. We want a strong and sturdy bridge to be able to explore further afield; we want a soft and welcoming home base to return for nourishment, encouragement and a safe place to rest.
It is the creation of this home at one’s heart that I work with the client to build, with foundations that will hold and a landscape that complements their individuality. Heart medicine will look different to everyone, as what serves one person will be no good for another. I believe that if a person can find compassion and love for self, it gives them the courage to continue to dig deeper and walk with less trepidation down the path of self-discovery and healing. It is not an easy path, and I am in awe of each and every person I have the privilege to work with.
I offer a space to explore and assist you in remembering the wisdom that is stored deep within you. I will not carve out your path for you, but I will pass you the tools and help shine a light on the areas that have been kept shrouded in darkness.
What type of services do you offer?
My current offerings are Intuitive Energy Healing and Oracle/Tarot Card readings, or a combination of the two.
Intuitive Energy Healing is a mixture of Reiki, Crystal Healing and Shamanic Healing Techniques. I follow my intuition for what each individuals soul energy field is calling for, hence the name – and this means each session may look different. I listen to and work with spirit, or more aptly I should say I let spirit work through me.
The card readings I offer use both Oracle and Tarot Cards, and usually from multiple decks. Perhaps it is the way my neurodiverse mind works, but I find much more of the picture is revealed when you build a spread from different decks. They are a tool to tell a story, and they give spirit more of an opening to be heard.
I am also in the process of creating some workshops that will be running in the New Year, and training to be an End of Life Doula. Watch this space.
Establishing a safe space is crucial for deep connection and self-discovery. How do you ensure that your clients feel secure and comfortable in exploring their truths during a session with you?
The space is theirs to bring whatever it is they need to the table – their pain, their fears, their insecurities. It matters not what they bring, I will adjust and build the framework of the session to meet the client’s needs at the moment. A container free from judgment, and full of unconditional love and understanding is created; I set up these walls so the client can feel safe enough to lower their own.
And honesty and empathy, always.
Your practice combines energy healing and card readings. How do these two modalities complement each other, and what unique benefits do clients experience from this combined approach?
Combination sessions are by far my favourite, as much deeper heart healing is on offer here! They work in beautiful unison, weaving together anything that may have arisen during the healing session with the wisdom brought forth by the cards.
It gives us the opportunity to unpack the healing session, to explore any messages that spirit may have given me and any sensations the client may have had. The cards continue to add to the picture, offering deeper insight. It gives the client a way to really connect with their healing, to work with it, to make sense of it.
As we reflect on the guidance given, it allows for a more significant space of introspection to unfold. Leaving with clarity that is well-grounded and rooted in the client’s core essence.
Healing is often an ongoing process beyond a single session. How do you empower your clients to continue their journey of self-discovery and healing once the session concludes?
Empowering is exactly what I aim to do when working with someone, as I believe the only person that can heal you is you.
I am not a magician, I do not wave my magic wand and all your woes will disappear. What I am is someone who has walked and stumbled through my healing journey, and in doing so I became my own hero. What I offer is my hand held out, that bit of loving encouragement, for you to rise up and be your own.
Knowledge is power, and that power is yours, so when working with someone I endeavor to share all that I can to make this as tangible as possible for the client. I pass on messages from spirit, as well as give guidance based upon my learnings and also my own lived experiences. I offer clarity and a way to view your blindspots so you can make headway on your healing path.
I assist in shifting energies and removing negativities, giving your energy field a reset. I work to make sure the ball is back in the client’s court, so they can leave with understanding and direction.
I also make sure they know that my inbox is always open, should they need that bit of extra support. Knowing you have someone to catch you if you fall, that someone understands and is truly in your corner, can give the client all the courage they need to continue to delve into those hidden places within. You hold the key to setting yourself free after all, I am just here to illuminate the darkness so you can discover it.
