How did you first discover your abilities as a psychic medium and healer, and how have these gifts evolved over time?
I’ve always been able to tune into other people and figure out what they need. As a kid, I never thought this ability was anything special and wondered why other people seemed to be so obtuse. I did not formally develop my spiritual gifts until I became a Yemaya priestess in 1996. Yemaya is the African goddess of the Ocean, Motherhood and Compassion. She is also a powerful psychic healer and grants much wisdom for healing to her devotees. That same year I also became a Reiki Master, another beautiful practice I use nearly every day. In 2014 I began taking various psychic and mediumship courses. I’ve been working professionally as a psychic healer and medium since around 2018.
Your work encompasses a wide range of modalities, from Reiki healing to Akashic Piano Trance Healing. Could you share a bit about these techniques and how they facilitate healing and alignment with one’s soul purpose?
Reiki is my favorite healing modality. The word “Reiki” comes from a Japanese word that means “Universal Life Force Energy.” It is a very high vibration energy that works to heal on the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual level. Reiki healing is effective whether it is done in person or at a distance. Wonderful stuff!
My favorite kind of psychic reading is the Akashic Record Reading. I believe the Akashic Records contain the blueprint of your soul’s highest destiny. When I do this kind of reading for my clients, I enter a light trance state to bring through information from the Record. If you are at a significant crossroads in your life and need high-vibration guidance regarding your soul direction, this is the reading for you.
The Akashic Piano Trance combines my skill as a psychic reader, my love of Tarot and my gift of music. I will pull a Tarot card to set the theme for the reading. Then, in a trance state, I will offer the client soul guidance based on the card that appears. To seal the vibration of the message, I sit down at the piano and channel an improvised sound healing. In the Akashic Piano Trance, all the senses are engaged – you receive a visual through the Tarot card. You hear words of guidance from the Akashic Record, and then receive an improvised sound healing of piano music.
In your online class “Magical Communication: How To Talk To Your Ancestors,” you teach techniques for connecting with one’s ancestors. Why is this connection important, and how can it benefit individuals in their daily lives?
Great question! One thing we humans should all be able to agree about is that we all have ancestors. Every traditional culture in the world acknowledges this. We are literally the public face of our ancestors in the world. Our ancestors are always with us, and they really want to help us move forward in life.When we consciously tap into the wisdom, guidance and support available to us from this realm, our lives can change in magical ways.
What advice would you give to individuals who are interested in developing their own psychic abilities or exploring spirituality in a deeper way?
Go for it! The world is a hot mess right now. We need all the empaths, healers and Spirit Workers we can get. The most important thing is learning to trust your own Inner Voice. There are all kinds of courses and workshops available these days on how to do this, including my own. The main thing is to start listening to that still small voice within. Your spirit support team is always trying to guide you. Pay attention to your gut, to those little signals your heart is giving you. Do that and your psychic gifts will begin to flower on their own. Last piece of advice: Don’t let anyone talk you out of believing in yourself!
Lastly, what inspires you most about the intersection of spirituality and creativity, and how do you hope to continue impacting others through your work in the future?
I believe that my life mission to work in exactly this way! I am a performing jazz musician and a published author. I am also a Professor at Berklee College of Music Online. I’m very comfortable around creatives! Most creatives understand that the creative gift comes from something that is both part of us and greater than us at the same time. For the past eight years I’ve led a program offering Reiki healing to students at Berklee. One of the things I’m most proud of us a workshop I offer every semester called Reiki For Self Care in which I teach students the basics of energy healing. In my ideal world, every college, school or arts institution would have a Reiki healer on staff!
