In this article, MysticMag delves into the remarkable journey of Brooke Kekos, a seasoned professional who embarked on a transformative path from the beauty industry to becoming a Trauma Healing Coach. Brooke’s inspiring story reflects her dedication to helping individuals overcome their past traumas and finding empowerment through a holistic approach.
Can you provide more details about your transition from a career in the beauty industry to becoming a trauma healing coach and rapid transformational therapist? What inspired this shift in your professional path?
Initially, I transitioned from being a coach to becoming a Trauma Healing Coach. This change was motivated by my own journey of healing from CPTSD, and my desire to assist others in this area. Although I enjoyed my career of enhancing people’s beauty and self-esteem, I always felt that something was missing. As I delved deeper into my own healing and personal development, I felt a strong calling to help others.
During this journey, I discovered the incredible impact of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) on my own life as it helped me overcome anxiety and CPTSD. The profound transformation it brought about led me to believe that this modality could benefit everyone. Fueled by this realization, I decided to return to school, all while being a single mom and working full time, to learn how to help others find their way out of suffering.
Can you elaborate on the techniques and methodologies you employ as a trauma healing coach and rapid transformational therapist? How do psychotherapy and hypnotherapy factor into your work?
As a Trauma Healing Coach, I use a trauma-informed and certified coaching approach that focuses on addressing past childhood experiences and complex trauma. This approach aids clients in healing their nervous system responses and gaining greater control over their physical and emotional well-being. Instead of being trapped in the emotional imprints of their past, clients can become more present in their lives, which empowers them to thrive.
Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy are integral to my work as they target the subconscious beliefs rooted in one’s original programming, which typically begins from birth to the age of 7. In this process, I guide clients through hypnosis to uncover the precise root causes of their symptoms and limiting beliefs, along with the associated stories and experiences that gave rise to them. This opens a pathway to the client’s subconscious mind, enabling increased self-awareness. While in this altered state of consciousness, I help rewire their thought processes, facilitating the processing and release of trauma while establishing new, empowering beliefs.
What do you find to be the most rewarding aspect of your role as a trauma healing coach? Could you share a specific instance or moment where you felt you made a significant positive impact on a client’s life?
The most gratifying aspect of being a trauma healing coach is witnessing the transformation and healing of individuals who have endured trauma. It’s a privilege to guide and support them on their path to recovery and empowerment. Seeing clients regain their sense of self-worth, resilience, and the ability to lead a more fulfilling life after trauma is exceptionally fulfilling. Knowing that I’ve played a part in helping them regain control over their lives, find hope, and experience happiness again is immensely satisfying. I derive a sense of purpose and joy from this, as I have the opportunity to profoundly touch my clients’ hearts, opening the door to limitless possibilities that bring them closer to living a life filled with purpose and meaning.
Could you explain some common limiting beliefs you frequently encounter in your clients and describe your approach to guiding them through transformation?
One of the most prevalent limiting beliefs that nearly all individuals carry, to varying degrees, is the belief that “I am not enough.” This belief often hinders people from pursuing their desires, and for trauma survivors, it can be especially debilitating. Other common limiting beliefs include “I am not deserving,” “I don’t matter,” and “I am afraid to be seen,” all stemming from childhood experiences.
Through Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), we delve into the mind and the narratives associated with these beliefs. By uncovering the origins of these beliefs, we can rewire them and initiate the process of believing in oneself, ultimately realizing that “you are enough.” While these beliefs may resurface, clients gain the conscious awareness that these are self-imposed narratives that need not define their identity. My clients can now intercept moments of self-doubt and replace them with self-love, guiding them closer to their desired emotional state and goals.
You referenced Marisa Peer’s quote: “When things change inside of you, things change around you.” How do you assist your clients in effecting this internal transformation and reshaping their relationships and lives?
In my work, I employ a holistic, client-centered approach to help clients create the internal changes that lead to transformation in their relationships and lives. As an empath and highly intuitive individual, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to openly share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This environment often allows clients to express themselves fully without fear or shame, which may be a new and liberating experience for them. I work closely with clients to identify their specific goals and areas where they seek transformation.
Together, we establish clear, attainable objectives to measure progress. I teach them to recognize and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs that may be hindering their progress. Through collaboration, we reframe their perspectives and cultivate a more positive mindset. This process enables clients to become more attuned to their body, mind, and spirit, aligning with their purpose and dreams.
What is your favorite aspect of your profession?
I find immense joy in the relationships I build with my clients and in the opportunity to hold space for their journey towards wholeness and self-love. Witnessing their transformation truly ignites my soul, and I am grateful for every moment of it.
