In this MysticMag interview, we speak with Becky Shanks, founder of Presents of Mind and Crystal Star Alchemy, who specializes in Quantum Healing Hypnosis. She shares how her unique blend of hypnotherapy, Reiki, and Alchemical Sound Healing helps clients heal at a deep, subconscious level, transforming both their mental and energetic states.
What is Quantum Healing Hypnosis and how much is it different from other forms of hypnotherapy?
Quantum Healing Hypnosis is a blend of clinical hypnotherapy, Reiki energy healing, and sound therapy. I use my voice, presence, and play crystal singing alchemy bowls for all my clients, creating the ultimate hypnotic experience. My practice, Presents of Mind, guides the body and mind into the theta brainwave state, which is the optimal state for healing.
When working one-on-one with clients, I facilitate an in-depth background interview. During that conversation, I will inevitably recognize whether the client is entering, or resisting entering the state of hypnosis. I work with whatever arises in the moment, guiding people out of the head and into the body and heart of the moment where they are able to feel.
The core of my quantum healing practice, Presents of Mind, is hypnosis. I regress all of my clients to reclaim splintered aspects of self, and ultimately to discover when they stopped trusting themselves. I often describe hypnosis as a time machine because, in that state, the entire timeline of one’s life expands, affording access to other dimensions of space and time. Through past life regression, it is entirely possible to access memories from beyond this lifetime, to access a much larger span of time, or the cosmic clock.
The main difference in my approach is that I actively move energy during the session, holding space for repressed energy and the associated patterns and memories to surface. As these energetic blockages clear, clients naturally deepen into the theta state. From that place, I employ principles of Internal Family Systems (parts therapy) to guide the inner child and adolescent into agreement, ensuring that in the present moment, all aspects are aligned and working together in order to move forward.
What are the benefits of Alchemical Sound Healing?
Alchemical Sound Healing focuses on guiding the body and mind into theta state. This is achieved by creating binaural beats with crystal singing alchemy bowls comprised of clear quartz crystal, infused with precious and semi-precious metals, gems, and minerals. Unlike the more common white frosted bowls, alchemy singing bowls produce a unique sound and energy, creating a profound healing experience.
The key benefit of this practice is the way it speaks directly to the subconscious mind, introducing more light into the field of subconsciousness of the individual. As this light expands, it creates space between the very particles of a person’s being on a cellular, molecular, and atomic level. In this expanded state, any tensions or blockages held in the body and mind are gently shaken loose and released.
One of the most significant aspects of Alchemical Sound Healing is the merging of imagination and physical reality. When the mind and body are in this deep state, they can’t differentiate between imagination and the present moment. As a result, the experience becomes more potent, and the sound amplifies the release of tension. The client then actively directs their consciousness and emotions toward new intentions, growing the seeds that are planted.
When it comes to the benefits, clients frequently report relief from chronic emotional and physical pain, a deep sense of relaxation they are not able to achieve otherwise, and a floating sensation that feels like being in a dream, but one that is grounded in the present moment. This practice offers a powerful, transformative experience.
Can you walk me through one of your Alchemical Sound Healing sessions?
In an Alchemical Sound Healing session, I collect the client’s birth details, which are closely connected cosmic energies. This information helps me create a “prescription” for vibrational medicine, which includes specific tones/sounds. Each tone resonates with a specific energy center, endocrine center, planetary body, the cosmos itself. The idea is to communicate directly with the subconscious mind, to inform the body’s crystalline structure with frequency and vibration, bypassing the narrative or “story” that people often attach to themselves.
The bowls are carefully selected based on the client’s natal chart, as the position of natal planets indicate pressure and tension, as well as the internal parts being activated by the current astrological weather. During the session, I may suggest that clients repeat a mantra, practice a specific mudra, or provide affirmations, visualizations, or hypnotic suggestions for them to repeat internally.
The intention is to unravel generational trauma, which often shows up in our DNA. The frequencies from the bowls introduce light into the client’s energetic field, allowing that light to expand and create space for the DNA to begin to unravel and express at a completely different bandwidth.
This work is subtle but powerful. Unlike hypnotherapy, which can sometimes feel intense… like a jackhammer to the psyche, this process is much more passive and ethereal. Alchemical Sound Healing communicates directly with the subconscious, creating gentle, profound shifts; it’s a more fluid, receptive form of healing, where the frequencies and tones speak to parts of the body and mind that might otherwise remain unreachable.
What can you tell me about the work that you do through Crystal Star Alchemy?
Crystal Star Alchemy is essentially an extension of my work with Presents of Mind. While Presents of Mind focuses on quantum healing and hypnosis, Crystal Star Alchemy focuses on crystals and stars. The name “Crystal Star Alchemy” embodies the synergy between the cosmic and earthly elements—bridging the energies of Father Sky (the stars) and Mother Earth (the crystals). Through this practice, I help people reconnect with these foundational forces, using the human body as a vessel to balance and channel both.
In essence, we are multidimensional beings, and my work is about aligning the different dimensions within us. Heaven, associated with the father and masculine energies, and Earth, tied to the mother and feminine energies, come together through the alchemical process. The right side of the body represents the masculine and the conscious mind, while the left side embodies the feminine and the subconscious. I see hypnosis as the balance point where these opposites meet—the light and the dark, the masculine and feminine, conscious and unconscious—creating an equilibrium.
I incorporate insights from astrological charts, information shared by my clients, and my intuitive experience to guide people into this balanced space. Once there, we can clear away emotional and energetic blockages, enabling them to reestablish connections to their inner resources. By nurturing both the feminine (intuition, creativity) and masculine (conscious thought, action), clients become more grounded, open, and more response-able – able to respond to life’s challenges.
Ultimately, this work empowers people to consciously respond to life circumstances rather than falling back into unconscious patterns. When you’re using both your inner resources, tools, intuition, and experiences, as well as conscious decision-making, you start to create your life rather than simply reacting to it.
What is your favorite part of your profession?
My favorite part of my profession is the deep, meaningful connections I get to make with people. It’s incredibly rewarding to help others see themselves in ways they may have never seen before. I love guiding clients to tell themselves the truth, while also helping them create the lives their hearts truly desire. It’s a beautiful process to witness their transformation.
I’m also deeply enamored by crystal singing alchemy bowls and how they support the healing journey. What started as a clinical practice has evolved into something much more ethereal and spiritual. I find it fascinating how astrology and sound healing continue to unfold, adding layers of depth to my work. The opportunity to reflect with clients and help them tap into their own potential is a great honor and brings me immense joy.
