Angela, your journey into the world of Spiritology is quite unique. Could you share what initially inspired you to create this platform and how it aligns with your personal mission of teaching, guiding, and inspiring others?
Spiritology became a bridge for me. Throughout my career, I worked extensively in mediation, particularly within government roles. My experiences have involved mediating between various government departments, schools, businesses, parents, teachers, and children. In all aspects of life, I often found myself in a natural counselling role, including friends, family, and peers. When I transitioned into teaching, it opened up a new realm of understanding – the intricate dynamics of how we learn and process information, together with human emotions and behaviours; revealing a profound connection between science and spirituality. My spiritual journey has taken me in many different directions, including meditation, mediumship, crystals, tarot, and energy work, which I embrace fully in daily practice. What started as a ‘side hustle’ around 20 years ago, is how I continue to share my gifts, in service to others.
I realized that while there’s a wealth of scientific knowledge and statistics in our lives, there’s also the spiritual essence that plays an equally important role. Spirituality was like the missing piece that needed to be incorporated into all aspects of life for balance.
I observed this balance could be achieved by infusing spirituality into everyday life, much like how we need to acquire knowledge, skills, and experience. This realization inspired me to create a platform where I could guide others on their journey, drawing from the experiences and insights I had gathered through years of research up until 2020.
It’s clear that Spiritology bridges the gap between the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown. Can you tell us more about how it helps individuals discover all aspects of the human and being, and what makes it stand out in the realm of spiritual practices?
For me, it was all about bridging that gap. Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to engage in meditation and calmly observe the world around them to find balance in their everyday lives. It was as if I wanted to introduce an element of awareness into the fabric of everyday life, shedding light on the things that often go unnoticed.
Consider this conversation we’re having now – we’re sitting down, yet we know that, at the quantum level, concepts like gravity take on a different meaning. It’s about flipping the coin and exploring a deeper perspective to expand people’s consciousness and awareness while ensuring they maintain equilibrium in their lives, to experience life to the full as a human and the awareness of “being”.
You mentioned that you’ve had the privilege of working with over 1000 individual clients in the past two years. Could you elaborate on how your background as a qualified teacher, psychologist, and therapist, as well as your experience in business management, has contributed to your unique approach in helping others navigate their spiritual journeys?
My approach to working with a diverse range of clients has been deeply influenced by my life experiences. I’ve spent a significant part of my life in environments where I’ve interacted with numerous people daily, ranging from 20 to 200 individuals. Through these interactions, I’ve honed my ability to connect with people on an energetic level and uncover the root causes of their challenges. This skill has evolved over time.
In my role as a teacher, I strive to help children, young people, and adults find greater meaning and purpose in their work, infusing their teaching and learning experience with passion and meaning. From a business perspective, I consider the core needs and values of the organisation. Is it primarily driven by financial goals, status, power, or a genuine desire to enrich the lives of others? Again, finding balance to achieve sustainability and growth. Through this process, making conscious changes with compassion can be a pivotal decision to positive change, realignment, and restructure.
In the realm of psychology, I create a safe and confidential space where individuals can share their thoughts and emotions, knowing that what is discussed within that space remains protected. Dealing with a wide range of people has expanded the facets of the services I provide, whilst adhering to professional and ethical standards, policies, and procedures, and universal laws, simultaneously. I don’t claim to have all the answers, as my knowledge is continually evolving. Sometimes, I have a deep understanding and knowing, while other times, I acknowledge the limits of my knowledge or what is not appropriate to share. It’s all about maintaining a state of awareness, adaptability, and balance.
Working with diverse energies is a privilege, as it allows me to appreciate both the commonalities and unique differences among people. It’s a fascinating process to channel and navigate these energies, enriching the lives of others and my life too!
Spiritology was officially launched in 2020, marking a significant moment in your spiritual path. Can you share some of the key insights or experiences that led you to embrace this journey more fully and publicly?
The circumstances surrounding my journey into this field were quite unique, driven in part by the COVID-19 situation. Lockdowns and the slowdown of my work with schools, local communities, and organizations provided me with the time and space to set my plans in motion – co-creating with the divine. It marked a significant breakthrough for me personally. I had initially embarked on this path back in 2015, but due to my business background and connections, I had veered more towards the mental health direction professionally.
This time around, I made a conscious decision to embrace my spiritual path, including practices like tarot, despite potential negative perceptions. It was liberating to fully embrace who I am and commit to this path wholeheartedly. I decided to make it my primary focus unless other opportunities arose, and I approached it with a “nothing to lose, everything to gain” mindset.
Over the years, I have experienced loss in many ways, which has caused great pain and confusion, making life very difficult to navigate at times. Through my spiritual experiences of energy transmutation, and psychologically opening my mind to create new neural pathways, I now see the purpose of pain and suffering from a new perspective. Pain is purposeful, as “what we allow ourselves to feel, we need to heal”, and when we heal, we come out stronger and more vibrant than ever before. This is the momentum and message I aim to convey to everyone I work with – that authenticity and being true to oneself are invaluable, and there’s nothing to hide as long as you’re sincere in your intentions and actions.
Your mantra, “As we GO with the FLOW, we GROW with the FLOW,” is quite inspiring. How does Spiritology and your services assist individuals in embracing personal growth and transformation, particularly during times of spiritual awakening and expansion?
I recall an interesting conversation with one of my younger clients who was familiar with the phrase “go with the flow.” He shared his perspective, saying he didn’t want to be like a “dead fish”, simply going along with whatever happens. This made me realize the importance of adding depth to this commonly used phrase. While it’s essential to allow things to unfold naturally, we shouldn’t interpret it as surrendering all control. Instead, we can blend the concept of going with the flow with a more scientific and intentional approach to life.
By taking conscious actions alongside the flow, we not only navigate life’s various trajectories but also grow through them. This mindset shift empowers us to overcome obstacles and challenges that come our way. It’s about recognizing that life isn’t merely happening to us but is, in fact, happening for us. This approach becomes particularly relevant during times of transformation, often accompanied by grief, as we transition into higher levels of spiritual awareness. It’s a bittersweet journey where challenging moments, both positive and negative, equally contribute to our growth.
We all have the ability to be who we want to be, when we can see our ideal life through meditation and visualisation, we also need to take action to align our life to that frequency in all aspects; physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
All our paths are unique, though we are on this journey of life together. Spiritology offers a range of personalised open-ended support for individuals and small groups.
