How do you define Soul Coaching, and what led you to pursue this particular path in your professional journey?
Soul coaching helps us to connect with and develop our souls so that we can reach higher levels of consciousness. We all have a reason for being here on this planet and for those of us who are deep thinkers, on a quest for more, and who feel a deeper connection to all things as well as for the lost souls this type of coaching is perfect. It will help you to become more soul-led with a real sense of purpose and belonging. Soul Coaching goes deep, it is more than life coaching because it also addresses aspects of our incarnation lessons and the growth of our spirit from our experiences. I came into this line of work simply from my own experiences; the more I developed through counseling and coaching the more I realized that I was removing so much “stuff” and making space for my spirit and my soul to rise within me. Added to that I developed a relationship with my spirit guides and they, of course, guided me onto my path which I feel deep within my core, is my soul’s purpose.
Could you share a transformative experience from your practice as a Shamanic Practitioner that highlights the impact of this ancient spiritual tradition on individuals’ lives?
One of the major practices I perform is a Soul Retrieval. Everything is energy, including us and the wounds we encounter from this human experience. Some wounds are so traumatic that parts of the soul’s essence can fracture off and linger around in the ethers, leaving one not feeling whole and unable to process the trauma. This causes one to feel stuck and potentially go around in circles. It can also leave space for other energies to reside within one’s psyche, oftentimes negative energies. Performing the soul retrieval brings about amazing results because firstly we remove energies that do not belong and then bring back soul parts that are ready and willing to return; this allows the person to feel whole again and not fragmented. Once the integration of these energies takes place clients feel subtle yet powerful differences in how they behave, and how they perceive themselves and others. In turn, they are then able to process the traumas that they could not have before and by doing so they can improve their vibrational level and not walk under their pre-existing dark cloud but more able to let their light shine from within.
In your role as a Sacred Celebrant, how do you approach creating meaningful and personalized ceremonies for individuals or communities, and what significance do these rituals hold in modern society?
Sacred ceremonies have always been a part of the human experience and bringing them back into our modern living is proving to be so meaningful and fulfilling to individuals and communities. We are connected to all things, thus ceremony and ritual enable us to feel and experience this connection on a deep soul level. For personal ceremonies I consult with the individual or family, gathering as much information as possible to ensure that the ceremony meets their particular needs and desires. I spend time convening with my guides and channeling the scripts that will be read out at the ceremony; I also source or create the different items needed for the ceremony e.g. for a naming ceremony I will purchase white plain candles and then personally decorate it. For a wedding ceremony, I would create a personal blend of incense for the loving couple; it is these little personal things that can mean so much to my clients, being of service in this way is truly an honor. If at all possible, performing these ceremonies in nature gives it that added touch of interconnectedness, allowing Mother Earth to hold and ground us during the ceremony. The winter months may be a little challenging for outside ceremonies, here in the UK. Carving out personalized ceremonies brings a sense of great acceptance, love, and belonging.
For community ceremonies, I endeavor to create rituals that are needed e.g. rites of passage that honor and welcome the natural cycles we go through so that the changes can happen in a flow. Including ritual and ceremony in workshops gives it that added richness and sacredness and I find that welcoming the four elements of earth, water, fire, and air as well as the celestial and ancestral spirit beings and animal spirits into these spaces makes for more powerful transformations and mutation. Their presence in these spaces is a must for real alchemy to take place.
Alchemy is often associated with transformation and transmutation. How does the concept of alchemy weave into your work, and how do you guide individuals through processes of personal or spiritual transformation?
I am often told in most first sessions with many clients “You are the first person I have told this to”. This no longer surprises me as I am aware that my energy alone encourages one to let go of what is burdening them down and has been for many years. This is alchemy and again confirms to me that I am fulfilling what my soul came here to do. Transforming and transmuting energy is the work of a shaman or shamanic practitioner. Working energetically, whether it be subtly or intentionally. Some clients come to see me for counseling, my counseling is very transpersonal and holistic. So, during their time with me if I see there are energetic blocks I will offer them other healings such as soul retrieval, ancestral healing, or past life regression. This gives my clients the scope to heal on not just the 3rd dimension but also on the 4th and 5th dimensions; such as deeper levels. I take my clients on a journey through different levels, sometimes they may overlap according to what the client brings to sessions, however, these are the levels.
- Developing self-awareness
- Clearing and rebirthing
- Connection to spirit
- Soul’s shadow
- Soul evolution
Throughout these different levels, we work with the inner child, reparenting the inner child, the shadow, the ego, healing sexual trauma, narcissistic abuse, emotional neglect, and limiting core beliefs such as I am not enough (a very popular core belief). Even clients suffering from psychosis are benefitting from my services, especially as I do not like the labels placed upon individuals. I have a theory that those who are neurodiverse are just highly sensitive individuals who have a very different perspective of the human experience and have very strong spiritual gifts. After all, what is “normal”?
Given your expertise in Soul Coaching, Shamanic Practices, and Sacred Celebrancy, how do you integrate these diverse modalities to provide a holistic approach to your clients, and what synergies do you find between these practices?
Talking therapies are great, but sometimes one can become all talked out and require something deeper; especially if clients are coming into session from an intellectual level and are struggling to connect on an emotional one. In this instance, I will always bring in guided meditation to allow my client to connect with their breath and their body. In this slightly altered state, the results are remarkable because ‘The Answers Are Within’ (this is my tagline) and they can bring out what they could not from a purely intellectual stance.
Ancestral healing is another example of how we can mix and match healing modalities to bring about permanent results, releasing clients from the ancestral trauma contained within their DNA. This helps with breaking ancestral patterns and healing the ancestors who want to come forward for healing. For example, there may be a theme with a particular client in that she experienced childhood sexual abuse, as did her mum, her grandmother, etc. Breaking this pattern is not as easy as one would think because the awareness is not fully present. In addition, the energy that the women carry encourages this to happen, remember, everything is energy and this is also in line with the law of attraction. So performing an ancestral healing on this issue, we can go back to the very first time it happened along a particular ancestral thread e.g. the maternal grandmother is one thread, and another thread would be the maternal grandfather’s lineage. As a Shamanic Practitioner my ability to see beyond ordinary reality, I can go back that far and we can heal the ancestors involved, this will create a ripple effect along that thread.
My clients always leave very differently from how they came, as long as they trust the process and are willing to do the work. Working with them on a human, soul, and spirit level is powerful stuff and I believe there are no mistakes in why certain individuals are attracted to me as their counselor or soul coach. Holding sacred space for my clients in this holistic way brings about alchemy.
In your experience, what challenges have you encountered in your role as a Soul Coach, Shamanic Practitioner, and Sacred Celebrant, and how have these challenges contributed to your own personal and professional growth?
The way I run my practice has evolved quite a lot and I can thank my clients for that. In the past, I have been challenged in ways I did not think I would be. I have learned how to not people please not just in my personal life but also in my professional life. Specifically, knowing my worth has been one of the biggest challenges, which I do see in the spiritual arena. Many spiritual entrepreneurs, including myself, struggled to charge a decent price for our services. I remember someone telling me off for charging for psychic readings, they felt that it was a God-given gift that I should not charge for. For a long time, I kept my prices low, but I realized that most people have God-given gifts, even singing is a God-given gift. So I started to see the value in my work and have no qualms about charging competitive prices for the transformational work that I do. Valuing my time, my resources, and my energy is imperative, as this is not an easy vocation.
