Amy Kaufman is a Reiki Master, leader of Guided Meditations and author of inspirational quotes. The original idea behind her quotes accompanied by photographs taken outdoors was to find a way to reach people through posting on social media which naturally progressed into creating a book, Seasons of the Soul: A Collection of Original Reiki Quotes. In her Reiki practice, Amy brings to light your inner joy, a way to calm and relax you, and a way to alleviate physical pain. This is done with love, compassion and acceptance in a sacred space.
Please tell us a bit about your journey and what inspired you to pursue energy work professionally?
I am a Reiki Master Practitioner. Reiki works with energy, both mine and that of the client. This work is so rewarding because you can change people’s lives by moving around energy and by the way, we are all made up of energy.
I am also an author of inspirational quotes accompanied by photographs I have taken most often while out walking my dog, Mia. The thought behind my quotes was to find a way to reach as many people as I could as I had originally posted them on Facebook. After 3 years of writing these quotes, I followed the next natural progression –
creating a book! My journey is far from complete – I’m excited to see where my path leads me next and invite you to come along!
For me, Reiki was a calling that I followed. As a natural giver, ( I am a wife and mom of 3) it was just as natural to become an energy worker and share that love with those who needed it. Who doesn’t need love!
Could you tell us a bit more about the services you offer?
I offer in-person and remote Reiki sessions. Energy knows no time, space or distance which is why remote sessions work.
How important is meditation in your life and what role does it play?
I used to offer Guided Meditation classes and although they are no longer offered, my meditation comes in the forms of walks with my dog. Being outside in nature among the trees and the animals brings an incredible peace that I find I cannot be without.
On a personal level, do you have any non-negotiable routines for self-care that you follow?
Exercise is important to me and something I do five days a week but what is non-negotiable is taking a break from it as well.
Lastly, in your opinion, what is one simple thing that we can do for our health and wellbeing?
The best thing you can do for your health and well being is to believe in yourself, pursue your dreams and never give up!
