MysticMag has the pleasure of chatting with Amélie Thévenet, a French-born healer residing in London since 2007, who has embarked on a spiritual journey of self-discovery and light-bearing. Amélie’s mission is to illuminate souls and spaces, guiding individuals to connect with their hearts and Higher Self. Transitioning from a fulfilling 13-year career in finance, she awakened to a new path of healing, tapping into energies, and exploring holistic practices. Amélie’s approach centers on empowering women to reclaim their innate power, intuition, and cyclical nature. Through her work, she aims to uncover the emotional roots behind physical ailments, facilitating self-healing journeys and soul reconnection. Her journey is marked by a profound shift in perspective and a deepening connection to the Divine, leading her to channel energies and embark on shamanic practices. Operating from a space of intuition, Amélie’s healing work is intuitive and transformative, offering a safe and sacred space for others to rediscover their inner light and purpose.
Amélie, your journey from finance to healing is quite a transformation. What inspired you to make this transition, and how has your background influenced your approach to soul and space healing?
I found satisfaction in my work in finance, as it offered a dynamic environment with frequent travel and the excitement of discovering new things daily. However, over time, I began to feel a calling to contribute in a different field. Despite the variety and human interaction, I started to sense a lack of fulfillment at the end of each day, prompting me to seek a deeper alignment between my values and my professional pursuits.
To illustrate, I would source my groceries from local farmers’ markets while simultaneously investing in supermarket chains in distant lands, which led me to reflect on the coherence between my lifestyle choices and investment decisions. As a fund manager, I transitioned from investing in emerging markets to impact investing, aiming to support environmentally conscious companies. Despite these shifts, I still felt a sense of incongruity and an underlying void in my life.
This realization prompted me to step away from my career in finance, acknowledging a desire for a more purpose-driven path. While I recognized the need for personal healing, I was also aware of my lack of expertise in the field. This realization led me to take a hiatus, during which I engaged in activities I found truly fulfilling, such as gardening. This newfound connection with nature proved to be deeply rejuvenating and enjoyable.
Coincidentally, my journey led me to explore space clearing, energy harmonization, and geomancy as means to address geopathic stress and enhance energetic balance in spaces. Geomancy, focusing on natural phenomena occurring under the surface on the earth affecting living beings, resonated with me. Initially, I undertook this training for personal purposes, aiming to harmonize the energy in my home. However, as I delved deeper into the practice, I discovered its profound impact and potential to benefit others.
Enthralled by the possibilities, I began offering these services to friends and family. My passion and enthusiasm for the practice grew, leading me to consider it as a potential profession. This realization marked the beginning of my journey as a practitioner, which commenced approximately two years ago. Thus, my transition from working on houses to working directly with clients and exploring healing modalities unfolded organically, driven by a deep-seated passion and a quest for alignment and purpose.
Can you share a particularly memorable experience where your healing work had a profound impact on someone’s life or home environment?
One of the most challenging aspects of my work is receiving feedback, as many clients do not provide updates once the issue is resolved. Often, people only think to reach out when a problem arises, so they may not remember to inform me when things have changed. However, one particularly memorable case involved one of my first clients—a woman living with her 38-year-old son, who was single, isolated, and unhappy in his life, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The client was very concerned about her son and believed that a space clearing could help, as she had experienced positive changes after one following her husband’s death many years prior. They were also living with her mother, so there were three generations under one roof. I mainly work remotely, so I conducted a remote space clearing for their house.
The results were remarkable. Both the son and the mother reported sleeping much better, with the son saying he slept like a baby and no longer woke up in the middle of the night. This was a significant improvement for him, and within the same week, he decided to join a chess club and started socializing more. This was a huge change as he had been quite isolated for months or even years. For the mother, it was astonishing to see her son take such positive steps forward. This case stands out as one of the most transformational experiences, with a clear before-and-after impact in a short period.
Your holistic approach includes space clearing, energy healing, and Bach flower remedies. How do these modalities complement each other in promoting emotional and spiritual well-being?
I find the holistic aspect of house clearing fascinating because it offers a clean slate in terms of energy. By changing the energy in the house, we believe that it can impact various areas of our lives since all aspects are represented in the home. This change can influence things like career and health, creating shifts in different areas of life. However, I always emphasize that while harmonizing the home is important, if we don’t also address the people living there, it’s like doing a deep spring clean only to have someone track mud through the house afterward. That’s why I believe it’s better to also work on the people living there to ensure comprehensive transformation.
I also offer healing sessions for individuals separately from house clearing. This includes Bach Flower Therapy and one-on-one sessions tailored to the client’s needs. I often provide clients with a bottle of Bach Flower Remedies to support them gently between sessions. These remedies are taken daily, with a few drops added to any drink four times a day. They are very gentle and natural yet can create profound changes, especially when taken over a few months. I find these complementary approaches valuable as they offer different levels and depths of healing.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering embarking on their own spiritual journey or seeking healing for themselves or their home?
I would say, trusting your intuition is the first thing. Many people believe they need to work on or deepen their intuition as they progress on their spiritual journey, thinking it will become better or more reliable. However, I don’t think that’s the case. Our intuition is good from the start, and we need to listen to it. Often, I have people coming to me, especially if they’ve never had healing before or it’s their first time, and they say, “I have this feeling, but I may be wrong,” or “You’ll think I’m mad.” There’s always something valid behind those feelings. So, really, it’s about trusting your intuition. I think that’s the most important thing. Once you do that, your intuition will guide you.
Your work involves guiding individuals to connect with their higher selves and tap into their inner power. How do you support your clients in this process, and what are some common challenges they face along the way?
It always involves connecting to the higher self during sessions. For example, when I do shamanic healing with a person, it works on the soul or the higher self, connecting at a different level than our conversation now. I guide them, often in different states of consciousness, using a drum or rattle or just guiding with my voice, getting them into a sort of meditative state. The person is always aware of what’s going on—it’s kind of like a state of hypnosis but very light. I prefer to say it’s a different state of consciousness. Because I believe in healing, any healing, the higher self is there. It goes a lot deeper when you work with all these dimensions rather than just with your mind.
The main challenge is not trusting your intuition or your higher self and being stuck in the mind. One of my offerings is guiding a person, in a different state of consciousness, through a closed-eye meditation process to connect with their house’s energy. They can see things, interact with the guardian of the house, and so on. Often, they say it’s their imagination or their mind, and they think it’s not real. I tell them to put their mind in a little box on the side and then let’s continue our communication. Just by saying that, the experience transforms for them. I always say; Trust your imagination. Your imagination is your best ally today.
