A Light in the Darkness: Finding Your Path to Wholeness

A Light in the Darkness: Finding Your Path to Wholeness

Have you ever felt lost on your spiritual journey, yearning for a sense of inner peace and balance? Perhaps the traditional paths haven’t resonated with your soul.

Today, Mystic Mag introduces you to Debbie Peters, a Spiritual Life Coach with a remarkable story of transformation. Read about her personal journey from religious constraints to self-discovery through Reiki and spiritual exploration.

When did you first know that being a spiritual life coach was your calling and how did it come about?

First, I would like to thank everyone in advance for taking the time to read this. Know that you are enough, know that you are truly loved, even though it might not seem like it at times. It is never to late to start your spiritual journey, so you can take care of YOU.

While growing up, I was raised to follow a certain religion. Throughout my life I struggled with several adversities and knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel, I just didn’t know how to get there. In search of ways to help myself, I inquired about various self-help resources. It was not until my late 40’s that I discovered Reiki, a relaxation technique that uses life force energy to help reduce stress and anxiety. I started attending Reiki healing circles, and my life started changing in a positive way. Friends and relatives would often comment about how much more relaxed I appeared to be.

Feeling a sense of relief and less burdened by daily obstacles, I realized there was so much to explore when it came to spirituality and my personal beliefs. All I had to do was to have an open mind, and work on letting go of things that didn’t serve my highest good. I was so inspired about my accomplishments; I became a Reiki Master. In my early 50’s I went to college and achieved my associate degree and became a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor-Trainee. It was enlightening to be able to help others on their recovery journey. I continued my education and received my certification as a Recovery Coach with Spirituality.

Today, I continue to learn and grow on my spiritual journey and look forward to supporting others on their journey.

What services do you offer?

I offer Distant Reiki, Animal Reiki, Recovery Coaching, Spirituality Coaching, and Guided Visualization.

How can Reiki healing help a person find inner balance and peace?

Reiki helps balance the energy centers in the body, and aids in dissipating blocked or stagnant energy. Reiki is a flow of life force energy and goes to where it is needed in the body. When you are relaxed, your body has the potential to heal. Reiki is meant to complement medical treatment, not replace it.  It is important to be patient with the process.

What can a person expect from your sessions?

Everyone will have a different experience. I personally do not like using the word expect. When someone expects something and it doesn’t happen, it will only create more anxiety and stress. It is important to trust the energy is going where it is needed. Once I became open minded, without expectations, there was a profound shift in my energy. No doubt, it was the first of my “ah-ha” moments.

What do you love most about your profession?

My life’s purpose is to be a guide, and I love being able to help individuals discover the path to health and wellness that is right for them. Helping individuals recognize they can achieve balance in their life is enlightening. I am there to support individuals and focus on their strengths. Exploring ways to achieve balance in one’s life is a sign of strength, and I look forward to supporting them on their journey.
