Diane, what inspired you to develop Loving Heart Connections® and how has it evolved over time?
I did not develop this protocol; I am part of many practitioners that were trained and use this protocol. Clients experience such a beautiful connection. One client connected with her daughter who committed suicide. It gave her such peace to know she was with family and happy.
This unique modality was created by SPIRIT and given to Jane Bissler while she was working with clients who were struggling with the death of their loved ones. She was using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help these clients with the trauma of their experiences. While using this process some of her clients began to simultaneously have a connection with their deceased loved ones and/or their spiritual guidance.
This modality is perfect for providing healing for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. It has provided whatever has been needed by the sitter to reduce the effects of grief and bereavement as well as for clients who have wanted to connect with their spiritual guidance to bring balance into their lives. It has been likened to out of body experiences that some have when working with Shamanic journeying. Many sitters have had multiple connections.
How do you approach educating others about the benefits and practices of Loving Heart Connections® and other modalities you offer, especially to those who may be skeptical or unfamiliar with these concepts?
I am in a unique position; I retired 6 years ago and since then have dedicated my time and energy to helping others through energetic modalities I studied. Through the years I have integrated all of them into my practice. I see my work as being in service to Spirit and making a difference in the life of my clients.
I work with people who are on their own journey to healing. My clients come through referrals, so I do not encounter skepticism. Some may come feeling tense or unprepared. I always take the time to understand where they are in their journey and leave them with the ultimate choice of proceeding with the session or cancelling. Free will is of the essence. Healing is only possible if the person is ready and willing to heal.
How do you see the practice of connecting with departed loved ones and spiritual guides evolving in the future, particularly with advancements in technology and spirituality?
Human evolution is at an inflection point. As a species, we stand with three choices: one leading to an era defined by technological marvels, the other delving into the depths of our spiritual and internal selves and the third benefiting from technology while developing a strong spiritual self. I believe the third choice is the way to go. The need for connection to the departed ones and spiritual guides will not diminish. It may grow as technology brings us even further away from real connections. As humans, we learn and thrive through our relationships. Today most of us focus on relationships with people on this plane. The future to me will allow us to connect with multiple planes and dimensions. Loving Heart Connections is evolving and changing as we as a species are changing. Nothing is permanent.
What are some common misconceptions people have about spiritual healing modalities like Spiritual Response Therapy and the Jade® process, and how do you address them?
1. Healing works because you believe it will.
2. There is no scientific data to support it.
3. Healing yourself is a special gift and many of us don’t have the knowledge and guidance to that that physical healing without support
Our world is made of energy. It is what changes the weather, breathes life into animals and plants and we use energy to physically move around in it. We are energetic beings and as such can get great benefits from energy work. Acupressure and acupuncture work with the meridians which are energetic channels. These modalities are recognized today. More energetic healing will be accepted: healing hands, reiki and others.
The body of proof that is building today on the effectiveness of healing is important: These studies have shown that it reduces the side effects of medication and medical treatment and can protect healthy cells from radiation therapy. It also works on the emotional. mental and spiritual bodies which directly impact the physical.
In all modalities our willingness to change and heal is paramount to our recovery. I would say it also applies to western medicine. Healing is your own responsibility. Healers support you through your healing process.
How do you envision the integration of ancient wisdom like the Daoist “5 Elements” with modern healing practices influencing the future of holistic health and well-being?
I will start with a personal example; I lived my life in my wood element. My family and our society are wood. As I studied the Daoist approach to the elements. I discovered I was living in my second energetic element, the wood element which explained the stress I experienced in my life and a sense of not belonging when it comes to my family. Living in my first element (metal) allowed me to be who I truly was and experience life fully.
Everything we find in our external or internal terrain belongs to one of the Five Elements, each of which has supporting and controlling relationships with the other elements. When the Five Elements – within our bodies or external environments – are balanced, we experience health and prosperity. When they’re out of balance – overacting, counteracting, or failing to properly support one another – we experience dis-ease of one sort or another.
So, it fits perfectly well with all energetic healing modalities. As individuals we are trying to live a happy life with full access to all of who we are. We are looking for purpose and connection. We all have the five elements in our stack up; the first three have all the impact on our lives. Understanding our stack up and our energetic make up allows us full access to our potential.
Imagine a world where people would all be living the fullest life, being completely true to themselves. This is my hope and practice.
