In an exclusive interview with MysticMag, Cedric Bertelli shares the inspiration behind founding the Emotional Health Institute (EHI) and its transformative approach to emotional well-being.
The non-profit organization is dedicated to educating communities about emotional functioning through the Emotional Resolution® (EmRes®) methodology, aiming to release debilitating emotional patterns and foster resilience. With a dedicated team of volunteers, EHI offers affordable, accessible sessions to support emotional health.
Through innovative programs, EHI stands out in the mental health field by directly addressing the root causes of emotional difficulties and advancing emotional resilience.
What inspired the founding of the Emotional Health Institute and what is its primary mission?
The Emotional Health Institute is a non-profit organization focused on educating individuals about emotional functioning while developing and promoting the Emotional Resolution® (EmRes®) methodology.
Our mission includes raising awareness about EmRes and providing affordable sessions to the community through a dedicated team of volunteers. We aim to foster emotional resilience within our communities.
We founded the institute to establish a collaborative framework that allows us to work together in advancing EmRes and to create broader awareness of its powerful benefits.
Our goal is to support individuals in releasing debilitating emotional patterns, fostering emotional well-being, and cultivating resilience within our communities.
How does the Emotional Health Institute support individuals in improving their emotional health?
The Emotional Health Institute supports individuals in improving their emotional health primarily through education. Many people lack a clear understanding of how emotions are generated in the brain, often perceiving emotions as overwhelming or frightening experiences that they feel the need to hide, ignore, or control. One of our core missions at EHI is to demystify emotions, and we offer comprehensive training on this essential topic.
In addition to our educational efforts, our trained practitioners conduct personalized sessions with clients, helping them resolve debilitating emotional patterns. Furthermore, we are committed to empowering mental health professionals by teaching them the EmRes methodology, enabling them to incorporate this effective approach into their own practice with clients.
What unique approaches or programs set the Emotional Health Institute apart from other mental health organizations?
What sets the Emotional Health Institute apart from other mental health organizations is our direct and innovative approach. Through the EmRes methodology, we address the root causes of emotional difficulties by focusing on the physical traces these emotions leave in the body. These traces are, in fact, outdated predictions generated by the brain in response to past experiences. EmRes effectively updates these predictions, ensuring that our current emotional state aligns with today’s reality.
With a deep understanding of how emotions are generated, we have trained our practitioners to be versatile and efficient in their work, allowing us to provide tailored support for a wide range of emotional challenges. Additionally, we have developed an extensive body of work that equips us to assist a diverse population, ensuring that individuals facing various emotional difficulties receive effective and compassionate care. This holistic and evidence-based approach distinguishes us in the field of emotional health.
Can you share a success story where the Emotional Health Institute significantly impacted someone’s life?

How does the Emotional Health Institute ensure the effectiveness and quality of its services?
The Emotional Health Institute ensures the effectiveness and quality of its services by exclusively endorsing currently Certified Practitioners. Our certified practitioners are required to complete four Continuing Education courses each year, alongside participating in monthly practice sessions to stay updated on best practices and advancements in the field.
Additionally, certified practitioners consistently check in with their clients to validate the quality and effectiveness of the work accomplished during each session. This ongoing feedback loop not only enhances the therapeutic process but also reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality emotional health services, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support on their journey toward emotional well-being.
What new initiatives or projects is the Emotional Health Institute excited to introduce?
We are thrilled to introduce several exciting initiatives and projects!
Recently, a study from the University of Lyon in France revealed the positive effects of EmRes on alleviating symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), highlighting the beneficial impact of our methodology on physical health.
Additionally, UCLA is currently conducting clinical research to examine the effects of EmRes on anxiety within the medical community. This study aims to further validate the effectiveness of our approach in addressing emotional health issues.
Furthermore, we have launched the EmRes App, which has been available for a couple of months. This app empowers users by teaching them how to resolve their debilitating emotional patterns, making our innovative methods more accessible to individuals seeking to improve their emotional well-being.
We are enthusiastic about these developments and the potential they hold for enhancing emotional health across diverse populations!
