How does The School of Mindful Healing approach the balance between mindfulness and spirituality in its courses and programs?

Our approach to bring balance between mindfulness and spirituality at The School of Mindful Healing, is to provide a sense of purpose, meaning and understanding to a client’s individual need and belief. We feel it is important to have an open and accepting mind to support where we can. 

Spirituality is so vast within its belief, and we feel it is important to listen people’s individual spirituality where they can feel free to express. We like to feel we offer a heart centered approach to meet the client’s needs continuously being aware to bring a balance with mind, body and spirit. When we are mindful within our mind we can bring this presence within our physical and spiritual being, creating a balance between the two.  

Mindfulness brings a sense of presence and awareness, whether this is within our courses or programmes, and a client’s spirituality provides a purpose, understanding and connection to their beliefs within the way they then choose to move forward.  

What inspired you to create a space that focuses on spiritual wellbeing and personal growth for women?

The inspiration to create an in-person space for women came from my own personal experiences and being able to relate to other women on a mindful, mental, health and spiritual level. Life experiences and issues with mental health, all played a part in creating a safe, secure and non-judgemental space where the focus would be on spiritual wellbeing and personal growth through courses, programmes, workshops, events and treatments.

We are not always aware of what someone has been through in life. But over time it became apparent that the women who were crossing my path needed a safe space to attend. Many wanted to be heard and understood, they felt judged or criticised often feeling not sure where to turn.  

Can you explain how the Spiritual Wellbeing Programme helps individuals discover their true authentic selves and explore their spiritual journey?

The Spiritual Wellbeing Programme is our new programme. It explores a deeper connection and understanding of the experiences we may encounter through this lifetime on our spiritual journey by looking at the 12 Ascending Light Bodies and spiritual dimensions. The programme encourages you to discover your true authentic self by recognising your qualities that make up your feminine and masculine energy body.

Overtime, the fear of expressing our experiences, beliefs, emotions, thoughts and feelings have been lifted and we now feel a sense of freedom to be able to share and be our true authentic selves. It still feels like this is something that needs to be supported for many. Exploring areas of our wellbeing encourages us to look where support may be needed to bring an understanding or acceptance. 

How does your approach to feminine energy and the concept of the “wounded feminine” help women reconnect with their inner power?

Our approach to the feminine energy and the understanding of the “wounded feminine” leads us to the deep emotional scars and imbalances that can arise from things like personal traumas, societal norms, historical injustices, cultural expectations and social relationships.

Reconnecting with the feminine inner power builds on self-confidence and the inner power to feel free to express and give yourself the love and nurture you deserve. We also recognise that once we start the reconnection we become more aware that we are creating a balance between both masculine and feminine qualities.

How do you ensure that each individual’s needs are met through a personalized, heart-centered holistic approach at The School of Mindful Healing?

At The School of Mindful Healing, we listen carefully to everyone who enters our wellbeing space. We believe that everyone is their own unique individual being with their own choices, needs and abilities to what they believe and to how they learn and work which means sometimes things need to be adapted. Our approach comes from a compassion heart, acceptance and understanding with a mindful and non-judgemental view.

What do you hope participants gain from the combination of theory, practice, and community in your mindfulness and spiritual programs?

The theory provides basic knowledge and understanding of the subject covered, while the practice of what is being studied gives the opportunity to experience it firsthand in a like-minded community space. Both programmes offer a variety of tools and practices for you to gain personal experience that you can take with you, we believe it is about finding what works for you and how we can support that.
