It was an excerpt from “Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs.” When she reached the section dedicated to Leo (which happens to be my Sun sign), it felt like she was describing me. It was as though she was delving into my personality, capturing my values, and highlighting the things that truly sparked my interest. That weekend, I eagerly obtained a copy of “Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs” book, and I couldn’t put it down.
My Introduction to Astrology
I embarked on my journey into the world of astrology when I was twenty years old. I enrolled in a comprehensive three-year astrology course taught by a dedicated instructor. Eventually, I proudly earned my diploma from The South Africa School of Astrological Studies.
Getting My Feet Wet with Astrology Charts
A few months into my astrology education, I decided to put my learning into practice. I began conducting chart readings right at my dining room table, reserving Saturday afternoons for this purpose. I reached out to family and friends, explaining that I needed to hone my skills. For each person I encountered, I diligently collected their birth data, manually crafted their astrological chart, and then did my best to interpret them, relying on my burgeoning knowledge.

My commitment to astrology didn’t stop at practical readings. I became an avid reader, voraciously consuming every astrology book I could lay my hands on. It wasn’t a one-time or even a two-time read for me; I delved into these books repeatedly, often going through them at least ten times each. I can honestly say that I dedicated nearly every waking moment to the study of astrology.

Contrary to the societal narrative that prescribes a linear path—attend school, achieve excellent grades, pursue higher education, find a life partner, get married, raise a family, acquire a mortgage, and live this way for four decades until retirement—this formula doesn’t fit everyone. In reality, it doesn’t suit many people at all. The planetary influences and energies within your birth chart may suggest a different path, one that is tailored to your individuality.
