Can you share a transformative experience from your journey as an energy worker and holistic healer that deeply impacted your approach to healing?
My journey began in 2018. First, let me backtrack a bit. My Mommi, Barbara, has always treated me as I was “special.” She and both my grandmother and my Aunt Lynn have always told me that I’m special or different, that I have gifts. Just last night my mom was telling me how gifted I am and to start operating in my gifts. What she doesn’t know is that I have been operating in my gifts for some time now. Coming from a church background, I didn’t fully understand what that meant, but they always encouraged me to figure it out for myself. Fast forward through separation, divorce, a house fire, temporary loss of sight in my right eye for about two weeks, contracting COVID and pneumonia, and actually experiencing death before coming back to life. Despite all of these challenges, what truly propelled me into pursuing this type of work was a peculiar incident when I lost sight in my eye and had to wear a patch.
While wearing the patch, I would perceive things beyond the physical world. I could be having a conversation, and spirits would show me vivid images—water, different animals, and more. It was like seeing a whole picture while engaged in conversation. I remember discussing something with my spiritual sister and feeling puzzled by the images I saw. When I described them to her, she exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, that’s my grandma!” This startled me initially. However, with some training, attending classes, learning to gather my thoughts, meditate, and asking spirits to guide me, I honed my ability to focus and interpret these experiences.
How do you integrate Reiki, energy work, and holistic healing practices to address both physical and emotional stress in your clients?
As healers, we all understand that everything is energy. What I often try to convey is that we begin by addressing the physical trauma, pain, or emotional distress that individuals are experiencing, and we build from there. It’s important for them to recognize that many physical ailments stem from suppressed emotions or past traumas. Our approach involves working through these issues from the past and gradually moving forward.
In most cases, I assign homework to my clients, ensuring they stay hydrated for the next two weeks because emotional upheavals can arise unexpectedly. Additionally, I provide journal prompts and offer classes for those who are interested. I also recommend holistic teas and other remedies as part of the holistic approach I take.
I integrate all these elements into my sessions with clients, not with the intention of upselling, but because I genuinely want everyone to experience healing. My goal is to contribute to making the world a better place by facilitating healing for all.
What type of services do you offer?
I practice various types of energy healing, including Reiki. I offer basic Reiki sessions, as well as sessions incorporating crystals, intuition, and sound therapy using singing bowls and crystal pyramids. Additionally, I provide Oracle readings, intuitive guidance, and pendulum readings. I also teach classes on shadow work, chakra healing, Reiki, understanding and transmuting energy, self-love, and protection techniques.
On the holistic side, I offer teas and intention oils, and I create intention jewelry. I also work as a business coach and life coach. Currently, I am pursuing studies to become a holistic practitioner.
This journey into healing wasn’t something I anticipated—it seemed to happen overnight. Growing up in a church environment, I’ve experienced church-related trauma. Despite this, I still hold onto my faith and trust in God. However, I felt the need to move away from that environment. While I harbor no hatred towards anyone, I found the experience of church hurt to be distressing.
As a Reiki Master/Teacher, how do you empower your clients to tap into their own healing abilities and spiritual potential?
What I aim to do is help my clients understand themselves first. Then, I provide them with journal prompts to uncover any underlying trauma so they can begin the healing process. I also teach them various energy work techniques they can practice on their own. Over time, most of my clients become like family to me, and they have ongoing access to my support.
I must admit, sometimes my family comments that I’m on vacation, but the truth is, I’m never truly off duty. Even during vacations, if I’m awake and see a message from a client, I’ll respond—even if it’s 2 or 3 in the morning.
Can you elaborate on any specific techniques or modalities you use to promote healing from the inside out?
I haven’t actually invented anything myself. My approach is more about offering encouragement and support in any way I can. Honestly, many of my clients initially have misconceptions—they associate what I do with witchcraft or something satanic. However, after conversing with me, they realize that spirituality and faith can coexist. They come to understand that everything I teach stems from a divine source.
Primarily, I focus on guiding them towards improving their overall well-being. After all, if you’re not physically healthy, it’s challenging to maintain mental health. Journaling is a practice I heavily advocate, along with maintaining a healthy diet. These two practices are fundamental to fostering positive mental well-being.
How do you practice self-care to maintain your own wellbeing?
I actually practice self-Reiki on myself at least once a week. I also take spiritual showers instead of baths because my tub isn’t suitable for it.
When I need to truly relax, I might treat myself to a stay at a hotel where I can completely unwind without any children or distractions. During these moments, I enjoy taking a spiritual bath. Additionally, I light a candle every day—I have a deep appreciation for candles. When I meditate, I often incorporate candles and music into the practice. I always recommend music for transmuting energy. Of course, making jewelry and engaging in such activities also brings me a sense of peace and well-being.
