The Psychic Connection: How Intuition Shapes Everyday Life

The Psychic Connection: How Intuition Shapes Everyday Life

In our quest to understand how intuition can enhance decision-making, improve relationships, and provide clarity, MysticMag reached out to a group of expert psychics. Each of these gifted individuals shared their unique insights and practices, offering a glimpse into the world of intuitive guidance. Through their experiences, we explore how intuition can be cultivated and utilized in everyday life, providing a pathway to greater understanding and fulfillment.

Rachel Espinoza – The Modern Shaman

Rachel Espinoza, known as The Modern Shaman, has been recognized globally for her psychic abilities, including being awarded “Best Female Medium in the World” in 2016. With a rich background in shamanism inspired by her Native American roots, Rachel has developed a unique form of energy melding to connect with multiple timelines, ancestors, and spirit guides.

Are there exercises or practices that can strengthen intuitive abilities?

When we listen to our intuitive guidance, our life tends to take on a larger sense of meaning and purpose. The psychic realm is not limited to those who call themselves psychics. In fact, everyone has the innate ability to connect to the higher wisdom within. It only takes a few moments to develop a regular intuitive practice in our daily lives that can have a dramatic positive impact in your life and the lives of those connected to you.

For example, before you make an important decision stop and practice connecting to your ESP (extra sensory perception). You can do this by getting in a quiet location like your car, taking a few slow deep breaths, closing your eyes, and asking a question about the decision you are trying to make to your higher self. Imagine a version of you that is unbound by time and space, eternally existing in all dimensions, with all wisdom and perspective. Ask this higher version of you if you should or should not make this decision. (When you first start this practice, it is easier to put your questions into yes or no responses.) Then wait quietly with your eyes closed for an answer.

Open your extra sensory perception and listen deeply with your heart. What do you hear inside your head? What do you feel inside your body? Do you tense up or feel nervousness like it is a no answer? Do you feel ease and peace like it is a yes answer? Do you see an image of a time when you were happy and feel your guidance is telling you this is a positive choice for you? Do you have a bad taste in your mouth that makes you feel it is the wrong decision for you? Listen with all of your senses and observe. The direction from your higher guidance will always bring you peace. It won’t shout or confuse you. When it is aligned with what is best for our soul path, we feel peace, ease and assurance for what we already know to be true.

This practice of regularly connecting to your intuitive guidance will shape your everyday life in powerful ways. Your decisions will no longer feel impulsive or insecure. In fact, this practice of slowing down and seeking guidance and alignment before major decisions will fill you with discernment and wisdom regarding your own life!

Katherine Glass – Psychic Medium and Intuitive Counselor

Katherine Glass, a psychic medium with over 25 years of experience, comes from a lineage of psychic sensitives and healers. Born with a caul, a sign of true psychic ability, Katherine has honed her skills through extensive training at prestigious institutions like the Arthur Findlay College in England.

How Do I Know If It’s My Mind Or My Intuition?

Often people will ask me how they can tell the difference between their intuition and their emotions or their own thoughts.

One very clear way to figure this  out is to recognize when you are on a train of thought or having a certain strong emotion about a situation, when out of nowhere a completely not-related thought comes in to interrupt the train you were on. For example, you’re thinking about your child at school and you’re concerned about an issue they’re having with a teacher. Suddenly, seemingly out of the blue you think of your best friend, and you feel a very strong sense that she needs you and that she’s angry about something or upset. That would be an example of a non sequitur thought. When you have non sequitur thoughts that interrupt with no related subject matter,  that is likely your intuition speaking. Your intuition can come in the form of a vision, a sentence heard in your head, the voice of someone else in your head, or a feeling about a situation.

A subset of this would be you are thinking about your child’s situation with their teacher and you want some help with your intuition to decide how to respond to the situation. In that case, using your body can help access your intuition. For example, you could imagine one way of handling it through direct conversation, face-to-face for example. Then tune in to your body and notice how that makes you feel. Do you feel your stomach tighten or do you feel a relaxed sensation through your body?  That would be guidance and intuition at work.

Then when you imagine writing to the teacher a letter instead,  follow the same technique, how does it feel in your body? ? Does your breathing become restricted and anxious or do you feel peaceful and at ease at the thought of writing instead of face-to-face?

We all have senses in the world of intuition. They are called Claire’s. Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, Clair sentience, and Clair cognizance.  These translate into clear seeing,  clear hearing, clear feeling, and clear knowing. All of these are at work in our human intuitive anatomy when we are in touch with our intuition.

These “Clairs” Are one of the foundations that professional psychics and mediums use to activate their talents.

So, the next time you are having that hunch or that gut feeling, hit pause, and notice; did the thought have any connection to what you were previously thinking of? Or was it something completely non related with it?

Likewise, when you have a decision to make or want to get a read on a situation, try the body sensing technique where you are using your Clair sentience to determine which way you should go with your perceptivity. Try it! You may surprise yourself.

Emma Forest – Psychic Medium

Psychic Emma, hailing from the countryside of Stellenbosch, South Africa, has been connected to the spiritual realm since childhood. With a life path number of 7, she has embraced her intuitive gifts, leaving a career in fashion to become a full-time psychic medium, offering guidance through aura scans and holographic images.

How would you define intuition, and what are some common signs or feelings people might experience when their intuition is trying to guide them?

I’ve been working as a Psychic Medium for 20 years and have noticed that intuition is a ‘feeling’ of the whole body, using all your senses – touch, smell, taste, emotions, visuals, sounds, general feelings or knowing. My one client found that she feels her intuition in her body as shifting sensations that tell a story about her needs or someone with her. Another client found that she got impressions from touch that would give her information about what she was touching. I get glimpses of the future through clairvoyant visions, but that’s unique to me, just like physical sensations are unique to my client. Even with all my experience, there are still moments where people need to tell me that what I said or did was really psychic and I didn’t even notice. As in, you might be so used to your natural skills that you don’t even notice how intuitive or psychic you are.

Any spiritual book that you read that explains how to be intuitive is from the author’s perspective and lived experience. That is their way and it’s ok if it doesn’t work for you, continue exploring until you find something that does help. My one client thought being very intuitive would be more dramatic, maybe random chanting or crazy visuals. Nope, for her it was telepathy of plants and nature. It was so natural that she had never noticed her gifts of being able to understand the needs of the plants around her. Just a green thumb or really intuitive? You decide.

Exploring our natural gifts can be calming and relaxing but it is a choice. Remember to be playful and have fun, don’t take yourself too seriously. Baby lions learning to hunt aren’t hyperventilating, they’re in a space of childlike wonderment, light-hearted and expanding upon their natural gifts.

Terri Jay – The Cowgirl Shaman

Terri Jay, known as the Cowgirl Shaman, combines her lifelong love of horses with her intuitive abilities to offer a wide range of services, from pet communication to remote viewing. With over 30 years of experience, Terri has helped thousands of people by teaching them to develop their spiritual senses and trust their intuition.

Exploring how intuition can help people make better decisions, improve relationships, and find clarity. Are there tools or techniques that you recommend that can strengthen intuitive abilities?

Developing your intuition can have many benefits. You will become a human lie detector which means you will always know if someone is telling the truth. This is important in relationships, business transactions, and your work environment.

It helps you to feel protected since you may hear guidance in traffic or when feeling vulnerable. You will also know when loved ones are at risk.

Intuition plays a vital role in decision making, whether it is choosing clothing that best suits your style or making significant purchases such as a vehicle or home. It can guide you towards making appropriate choices in various aspects of life. You can also do your own home inspection.

We are all born with intuition, Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, Clairaudience, and Clair-cognizance. Clair just means “clear.” We turn these off in childhood, so we just need to learn to turn them back on in order to use them and trust them. The first suggestion is to get out of Ego, meaning a need to be right. Ego means: Easing God Out. Next, get out of your own way. Then, stop thinking and go into feel mode. Trust the information that comes instantly, that seems to pop into your head. The speed that you receive the information is a good barometer of the correctness of the information. Learn to trust it. After doing this for a while, you will trust it more and live a happier, healthier, more abundant life.

Alina Phoenix – Intuitive Empath and Psychic Energy Healer

Alina Phoenix, an intuitive empath and certified energy healer, uses her skills in Emotion Code, Body Code, and Aromatherapy to help others connect with their inner wisdom. Overcoming her own health challenges, Alina now teaches self-muscle testing as a tool for self-healing and intuitive development.

Exploring how intuition can help people make better decisions, improve relationships, and find clarity. Are there tools or techniques that you recommend that can strengthen intuitive abilities?

“My name is Alina Phoenix, and I use intuition as an Emotion Code, Body Code, and Belief Code Practitioner every day.

My favorite way to tap into my intuition is through the art of self-muscle testing. This is the most important tool in my self-healing journey, and it is what I utilize to discern what is going on with my clients and their needs.

I am not just sensitive to energy; I am also sensitive to the toxins in the world, as I was born with a genetic mutation in the MTHFR gene. This means my body cannot produce enough glutathione, the master antioxidant. Because of this, I was diagnosed with lupus, scleroderma, and fibromyalgia.

My prognosis at age 37 was to be disabled by 40 and dead by 50 with the best available help. At 39, I met a Body Code practitioner who introduced me to the concept of self-muscle testing. We worked on difficulty swallowing, which had plagued me every meal for the previous 3 years. My first session with her gave me my first comfortable meal with no difficulty swallowing in a very long time.

I was astounded at the immediate improvement, and this inspired me to get certified and learn all I could. I now use this skill daily to check everything that I put on, in, or around my body to ensure it is compatible. It is the best way I know to connect with the innate wisdom and intuition that lives inside of us.

I teach this practice online at www.artofselfmuscletesting.com. I’m 45 now, and I’m reversing and healing what I was told was incurable. I’m blessed to help others do the same.

I need what’s right for me, and you need what’s right for you. Self-muscle testing allows you to find these things for yourself by relying on the wisdom within, without the need to constantly refer to others, read labels, or just guess and hope. It is a reliable way to tap into and develop your own intuition to create well-being for yourself.”

Elaine Clayton – Artist, Author, Intuitive, Reiki Master and Teacher

Elaine Clayton, an artist, author, intuitive, Reiki Master and teacher, has developed a unique meditation style called stream drawing, which she uses to help individuals tap into their creativity and intuition. With a background in art and teaching, Elaine combines her passion for the healing arts with her intuitive readings to support clients in their personal growth.

Elaine explains how her intuitive stream drawing technique allows individuals to access their inner creativity and intuition, offering numerous benefits when practiced regularly.

Intuitive-Creative-Spiritual Meditation Via Stream Drawing  Opens Your 3rd Eye

Elaine Clayton – Artist, Author, Intuitive, Reiki Master and Teacher
Stream Drawing/ Elaine Clayton 2025

Every morning, I “stream draw” the dream state into my waking day. Getting up from sleep I am in a strong intuitive third-eye feeling (not fully awake, not yet “on task”), in a state mentally and emotionally where the sub-conscious mind mingles with the conscious mind—half asleep, half awake. This allows lucidity and a quality of knowing that swims between sleep and wakefulness, perfect for cultivating intuitive sensing. I don’t want to pop out of bed and lose the depth of knowing  and feeling dreams can bring.

Stream drawing is like dreaming while awake. To allow the astral realm with all its scenes and sensations to interweave with daily life and schedule, to let the strands of quiet knowing and feeling come with you into the day. This is not to be less responsible, vague or inactive but rather to sharpen intuitive focus and increase awareness through all our daily actions . We have a responsibility to our natural intuitive intelligence and being more deeply, consciously cognizant throughout the day allows us a better experience with others and life situations conditions.

Stream drawing is easy (for more information on this creative-intuitive-meditation method, see MAKING MARKS: Discover the Art of Intuitive Drawing/Elaine Clayton/Beyond Words-Simon & Schuster and THE WAY OF THE EMPATH/Elaine Clayton/Hampton Roads Redwheel-Weiser) and not only can you do it, you already have done it, most likely as a very young child. Remember as a child drawing freely with complete ecstatic joy? They called it “scribbling” and/or “doodling,” yet it was a profoundly expressive act that did not get the credit it deserved. That exciting feeling is the one you want to recapture—it is the activation of the intuitive-imaginative soul essence that exists within. Simply close your eyes and use your non-dominant hand and draw. Let one line do loops and zig-zags and whatever feels right, all over the paper. Do it for the stream-of-consciousness feeling you get (this is like the sleeping dream state) and for the sheer bliss of remembering you are a natural born creator. Making marks freely feels great and activates your intuitive sensing.

Once you open your eyes after drawing, gaze at the drawing and write down any feelings, memories or associative thoughts you get from the imagery, developing deeper intuitive awareness. Or just do more stream drawing for the spiritual synergy it brings you. The idea is to be in a creative flow, to protect that self-creator and intuitive being that you are and know that staying a little bit “asleep while awake” is a terrific thing. You will better know why you respond the way you do, you’ll sense things before they come into focus, either with the way people come and go throughout your day or with a powerfully beneficial “quiet knowing” as you make life decisions. You will be more centered in your own spiritual well-being, way less likely to fly off the handle, to feel small or hurt—you’ll feel stronger, more enlightened.  Celebrating and cultivating your brilliant creative spark, nurturing your innermost guidance, cultivating intuitive sensing is very empowering for you (and for those you interact with as you experience life).  Empowering as in:  the deeply beautiful ability within you to love is evermore felt.

Below, see a section of one of my early morning stream drawing meditations with notes/personal meanings below *Important note: Do not read someone else’s stream drawing, that is theirs to create and find the meanings on their own terms

A few highlights: There is no end to how to visually perceive lines, shapes and negative space, but I tend to go with what first strikes me and follow the strongest feeling. In this stream drawing image I saw an angel pointing the way forward. A seal to the left of the angel gave me many personal references of encounters with seals to meditate on, including general symbology (they are legendary, curious and symbolic of feminine energy—they watched from the coastline when I visited Scotland many times in my life—also a “seal” is that which certifies or makes valid). A baby elephant is above the angel—a direct message to me to listen to music throughout the day—as I love the piece called Baby Elephant Walk, but do not listen to “good mood music” enough and I know I should. Also, I perceived elephant Ganesh which represents happy energy, good luck (so I asked myself to get into that feeling more—a feeling of exciting goodness). I have a strong connection to mysticism, Kabbalah and an image above the angel indicated for me to stay aligned with a spiritual orientation of life. The images in this stream drawing meditation helped me to start the day remembering to see what goes on with me and around me as spiritual first, to be devoutly tuned in to the wondrous and miraculous nature—my own and the gifts of others just by being themselves.
