Your journey into holistic healing is inspiring, with expertise as a Master Teacher in three Reiki styles and certification as a Past Life Regression Therapist and Crystal Healer. Can you walk us through what initially drew you to energy healing, how your practice evolved over the years, and what sets these modalities apart in your work?

I’ve undergone a profound holistic journey over the years, shaped largely by a dark period in my life that initially set me on this path. As I’ve learned and worked with clients, I’ve come to recognize that energy work and healing often emerge from personal challenges. It’s almost as if the universe sends us these experiences to wake us up—it has “shaken us to awaken us,” as I like to say.
For me, the turning point came when I had a conversation with someone training in Reiki. It was like a light bulb went off—I knew immediately that I wanted to pursue it. That was about 14 years ago, and from the moment I took my first Reiki class, I felt a calling to open a practice. This was completely out of character for me, given that my original career had been as a Major Crimes detective in law enforcement. It was a significant departure from my previous path, but I had always been drawn to spirituality, exploring past life work and other spiritual modalities that resonated with me. Reiki, however, truly captivated me.
Interestingly, before Reiki found me, I studied and became certified in Past Life Regression. I practiced that for some time, but Reiki brought everything together for me. It was the modality where everything I’d learned began to coalesce. I later integrated crystal healing into my practice because I’ve always been fascinated by crystals. Learning about their healing properties transformed them from simply being beautiful objects into powerful tools for energy work.
To me, these modalities—Reiki, past life work, and crystal healing—aren’t separate. They’re interconnected, each enhancing the other to form a cohesive whole. When I conduct sessions, I weave past life work and crystal healing into Reiki. Crystals are now a staple in almost all my sessions; I always ask for the client’s permission, but no one has ever declined. The synergy created when these modalities work together elevates the experience beyond a traditional Reiki session.
I see it as holistic healing in the truest sense. It’s never about compartmentalizing or isolating these practices; instead, I bring them together intuitively during my sessions. Whether I’m channeling Reiki for a client, myself, or a specific situation, I draw on my training and knowledge in past life regression, crystal healing, and other modalities I’ve explored. The combination creates something greater than the sum of its parts—a synergy that enriches the healing process.
For me, holistic healing isn’t about doing one thing on one day and something else the next. It’s about integrating all these elements into a unified practice. This is how I approach my work with clients, and it’s deeply fulfilling to see how these modalities come together to support their healing and transformation.

With your background in Psychology, Counseling, and Transpersonal Care, you bring a unique blend of science and spirituality to your practice. How do you integrate these disciplines to help clients achieve holistic well-being, and what do you find most rewarding about this approach?

That’s a great question, and one I’ve been asked often. For me, my background allows me to bring a practical and grounded approach to what I do. While energy work might sometimes be perceived as abstract or intangible, my personality is naturally practical and down-to-earth—I like to figure out the best way to get things done. My training in psychology, mental health counseling, and transpersonal psychology laid a solid foundation before I discovered energy work. Initially, my goal was to build a career working with female prison inmates, providing therapy and counseling. However, when Reiki came into my life, it completely shifted my path.
Now, as I work with clients, I know that my training in the sciences provides me with a grounded, structured perspective that complements my energy healing practices. It creates a beautiful blend of practicality and intuition. I don’t see science and spirituality as separate—far from it. I believe, and know, that there’s a significant overlap between the two, and I’m thrilled to see more people awakening to this connection.
In my work, the integration of my psychological training and energy healing creates a harmonious approach. These modalities don’t exist in isolation for me; they blend together seamlessly, enriching my ability to support clients on both a practical and spiritual level. This synergy allows me to offer a holistic practice that respects and incorporates both the tangible and the intangible.

UniverSoul Heart was born from your passion for helping others reconnect to their soul’s purpose and heal. What was the driving force behind creating this space, and how has its mission grown or shifted as you’ve worked with clients over the years?

I think the spark that ignited this path for me began during my time in law enforcement, particularly while working in a Major Crimes unit. In that role, I encountered people from all walks of life—victims, witnesses, and perpetrators. Over time, I realized that I had an innate ability to feel compassion for everyone involved in the process, not just for the victims but also for those who had committed the crimes.
This shift in perspective surprised me. Instead of viewing situations solely from the lens of law enforcement—where the focus is often on “putting the bad guys away”—I began to see the humanity in everyone. I started to understand that we are all shaped by our life experiences, and even those who commit harm are navigating their own pain and struggles. My compassion for the victims, naturally, was immense, but I also felt a growing empathy for the perpetrators, which deepened my understanding of the complexities of human behavior.
This profound compassion became impossible to ignore. It was as though something in me had awakened, urging me to do more. While I didn’t connect it to energy healing at the time, those experiences planted a seed. When I later discovered Reiki and pursued training in past life regression, everything fell into place—I knew this was the work I was meant to do.
As my mission has grown and evolved, so has my compassion. At times, it feels overwhelming because the world can be such a difficult place. But this compassion allows me to see things from multiple angles, even in situations that seem truly dark or hopeless. I strive to find a glimmer of humanity, something redeeming that brings balance to my perspective.
This deep empathy profoundly impacts on the way I work with clients. It enables me to step into their shoes, truly understand their experiences, and create a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe this ability to connect with others on such a human level is at the core of what makes my work meaningful and effective.

The Angelic Activation Practitioner Program is one of the signature offerings at UniverSoul Heart. Can you share more about what inspired its creation, what participants can expect to gain from it, and how it supports their spiritual and healing journeys?

Angelic Activation is a relatively new offering in my practice, and I work closely with my partner, Jodie Helm, on this unique program. Jodie has been channeling the Archangels for many years, and my involvement in this work came about quite unexpectedly. A regular client of mine, who also channels the Archangels, shared with me that she was told I am an Angelic Activation Practitioner and that this is a role I am meant to focus on in this lifetime. Initially, this revelation came as a huge surprise, but it also felt deeply right.
Curious, I tried to research the term, but to my surprise, I found no information about it. I let the idea rest for a while, but through a series of seemingly unrelated events—which I now recognize were very much connected—I came to know Jodie. When I shared my client’s story with her, she was stunned because she had been told she would meet someone like me with whom to collaborate. One thing led to another, and Jodie and I became close friends, forming a strong bond rooted in our shared connection with the angelic realm.
Together, we embarked on creating the Angelic Activation Practitioner Program, a process that took over a year to bring to fruition. It was a blend of intense spiritual work with the Archangels and the practical, earthly efforts required to ground the program. The result is a transformative offering with two distinct tracks.
For participants who feel called to be activated as an angelic soul, the program fosters a deeper relationship with higher beings, including the Archangels. Additionally, for those “pre-wired” to channel the Archangels, the activation serves as a catalyst and ignites their innate abilities. For others who may not have this predisposition, the activation creates a profound connection with higher guides and beings in spirit, enriching and amplifying their relationship with the divine.
Our participants are incredible individuals, making meaningful contributions to the world simply by being their authentic selves. This work reminds us that, by focusing on raising our own vibration and continuing to evolve spiritually, we not only support ourselves but also uplift everyone and everything around us. Angelic activations are always conducted in accordance with the individual’s Highest Good and can never cause harm. Instead, they accelerate and enhance the gifts each participant already possesses, deepening their connection to spirit and to their unique purpose.
This journey has been an extraordinary collaboration, and witnessing the transformations in our participants has been both humbling and inspiring. It reaffirms the powerful potential we each hold when we embrace our divine essence and purpose.

You offer deeply transformative experiences for clients, including distant and virtual healing sessions. How do you approach creating a strong energetic connection in these settings, and what techniques or tools ensure clients receive a personalized, effective, and meaningful session?

Before the pandemic, I occasionally conducted distance sessions, but in-person work was still my primary focus. When COVID hit, I found myself at a crossroads, even considering retirement. However, something deep within told me, “No, it’s not time.” That inner guidance was so strong that I decided to shift my entire practice to virtual work and distance sessions. Initially, I was nervous about making the change, but I quickly found that not only did it work well, but I genuinely enjoyed it.
Now, I have no intention of returning to in-person sessions, and there are many reasons for that. Clients appreciate the comfort of staying in their own space—at home or wherever they feel most at ease—without the stress or time of traveling to a practitioner’s office. For me, working with just the energy body of the client during sessions has been transformative. It has streamlined the process, allowing me to focus entirely on their energy without worrying about their physical comfort, such as whether they’re too warm or cold. As a result, my guidance has become much clearer, and the quality of my sessions has improved significantly.
When conducting distance sessions, I use most of the same tools and techniques that I used for in-person work. For example, I still utilize my Reiki table, which has a cloth with the outline of a person and chakra placements. This serves as my focal point to sense the client’s energy and determine where they need support. I also incorporate crystals and other techniques I’ve been guided to create over the years. The sessions feel very much like the ones I used to conduct in person, but the process has evolved in a way that feels even more effective.
One of the aspects I love most about this shift to distance work is the ability to connect with people all over the world. This wasn’t possible before, as clients couldn’t travel long distances just for a session. Now, I have international clients in places like Romania, the UK, and even Malaysia. Many of them have found me through podcasts I’ve been featured on or through the one I co-created with a partner. I worked on the podcast for three seasons before stepping away to focus on the Angelic Activation Practitioner Program. Although I’m no longer actively involved, people continue to find me through the earlier episodes, and Spirit has told me that it will continue.
Beyond podcasts, I’ve been fortunate to build visibility through other channels, including interviews, a radio show I hosted, and articles I’ve written for Reiki Rays and Reiki News Magazine. My journey has brought me to many platforms over the years and continues to do so. These days, I like to remain under the radar and focus my energy on connecting with clients, offering support and guidance on their unique journeys.
Ultimately, I believe that the clients who are meant to work with me will find their way to me, and I to them. This process of connection feels divinely guided, and I’m deeply grateful for the way my practice has grown and evolved. I genuinely love the work I’m doing now and the opportunity to make a difference for people, no matter where they are in the world.
