Please present Past Life Regression Academy to our audience please.
The Past Life Regression Academy is a training school that takes students through to become highly skilled, accredited therapists in the field of Regression Therapy. The Academy was founded by Andy Tomlinson in 2002. Andy’s corporate background as an internationally renowned trainer led him to develop Regression Therapy Training with a very solid foundation that has been built and developed over the last 22 years with the support of the Trainers. Our Certified trainers teach Regression Therapy, Hypnosis, Between Lives Regression, and various Advanced Workshops in Spirit Release and have had several years of experience as therapists and supervisors before completing the two-year teacher training program.
The training program covers Past Life and Current Life Regression, and the techniques include Body Therapy and Inner Child Regression for clearing deep trauma. We award internationally accredited qualifications enabling graduates to belong to professional associations such as the Spiritual Regression Therapy Association and the EARTh Association of Regression Therapists. Once graduates have joined these associations, they get their own webpage to help promote their therapy business and network with colleagues around the world. The live online program is offered in different time zones including Asia, the USA, and the UK/Europe, or in-person Classrooms in the UK, Turkey, and Romania.
One big aspect of the Academy is that we learn to live and work from the heart. The process of training as a therapist encourages the students to heal themselves first and foremost. The gift of facing those unresolved and less developed aspects of themselves in a safe and nurturing environment is life-changing from a personal growth perspective. I can truthfully say that the training was pivotal in my life, and I feel like I have developed myself exponentially since finding the Academy. So many graduates share the same experience, and we are like one big, connected family.
The therapy techniques in the training work on all energetic levels of the mind, body, and soul and provide the integration and alignment of energies and full healing by going to the source issue. The training is a mix of practical and theoretical teaching, making the training very comprehensive and easy for the students to follow. The professional standards work to enable students to become accredited therapists and set up practice on the completion of their qualifications.
The training is a hugely rewarding and healing experience for the students, equipping them to take their amazing new skills into their own professional world. Another bonus to the training is the wonderful friends that are made along the way.
Many of our, already ‘seasoned therapists’, students have reported that the Academy training is the best they have attended from both a personal development, hand-ealing perspective and also from a professional viewpoint.
Can you elaborate on the therapeutic benefits of past life regression and how your training programs facilitate these outcomes?
Past Life Regression Therapy is a very powerful tool that clears blocked energies, unresolved emotions, and spirit attachments and offers new perspectives and ways of being. When a new client arrives for their first session the therapist will spend some time digging deep to discover what is happening for the client in their life. The focus of the session will usually be on the strongest presenting emotion or physical symptom.
Clients will often have been feeling very stuck in a cycle of negative emotions or patterns that do not serve them well. These can be emotional issues, relationship issues, childhood trauma and PTSD, unexplained physical issues, and disturbing thoughts to name a few.
We always take down Measurable Symptoms to gauge the improvements the client is making from one session to the next, this part is important because clients will quickly forget their issues once they are no longer experiencing them, so it is very helpful for them to see that Regression Therapy has helped them heal, usually extremely quickly. A common example of this would be when a client comes for help with anger or fear issues. We take a score out of 10, and other important information, at the initial interview. We are looking for the strongest emotion, sometimes they score very highly with an 8 or 9. Each time we see them we re-measure and the score drops down each time until they are scoring 0 or 1 out of 10. This way it is clear to the client, and therapist, that the therapy is working.
Regression Therapy works by going to the source of the issue so that it can be resolved, like pulling out a thorn that has been causing discomfort. Clearly this work can involve some very strong emotions coming to the surface, and releasing catharsis plays a major part in the healing journey. The careful management of the catharsis is a key part of the session, our students are taught to understand the process in depth to avoid re-traumatisation. Past Life Regression Therapy is a way of healing and transforming the problem in the subconscious memories with creative visualization in a safe and structured way. Every session is Transformed fully so that the client goes away feeling grounded and enlightened. Usually, most emotional issues can be healed in 2-5 sessions.
How does the Academy’s curriculum integrate techniques like body therapy and inner child regression to address deep-seated traumas?
The Academy teaches and encourages students to work somatically with clients who have deep traumas. The techniques of exploring and transforming frozen body memories are often a priority before any story can emerge in the regression. These locked-away emotions are stored in the body so deeply, and often clients or students come to us and say they have seen all sorts of therapists, but they haven’t been able to access the emotions to work with them. Body Therapy bypasses the conscious mind and goes directly into the body and can be used very successfully in Current Life or Past Life. Students learn techniques that very quickly get into the body and transform them, in a safe and controlled manner.
A lovely example of how Body Therapy can transform body memories instantly is of a client who came to me with a phobia of having anything touch her nose. Having a cold, putting on suncream, or makeup, or even going to the dentist was a major issue with her. The problem had been happening since birth and her parents could not trace back any reason for the phobia to be present. Using her body symptoms, which in her case were her nose, I bridged her into a Past Life as a 5-year-old girl, being hunted as a witch. It’s a rather gruesome story I’m afraid. She was hunted down and hung from a tree, with a hessian sack over her face. It was a slow death, with the hessian bag rubbing against her nose the whole way through this traumatic event. The transformation included cutting her down from the tree removing the sack from her head and allowing her to move freely. This Body Therapy completely cured the symptoms in her Current Life. I helped integrate the healing at the end of the session, whilst she was still in a trance by rubbing her nose gently, she reported having no issue with it whatsoever.
Current Life experiences are often the bridge that takes clients into childhood where these deep memories were created, and this is where we would apply the Inner Child Regression. Inner child work is profound and heals directly at the source event. These events are often responsible for those dysfunctional behaviors and beliefs that can wreak havoc in adult life. We can revisit these painful childhood memories and reframe and transform them using the many successful techniques developed by the Academy. We believe in a more spiritual perspective than perhaps other more traditional regression schools, we encourage examination from a soul perspective for both the client and any perpetrator present in the memory. A deeper understanding of their childhood events creates greater wisdom and more transformational healing.
I had a client who had seen me for quite a few sessions because of the abuse she had endured as a child. It is not uncommon for abuse to create a victim mentality pattern for clients due to a frozen inner child. When I first spoke to her stuck Inner Child, she seemed very friendly and eager to please, this little girl had been abandoned and neglected repeatedly throughout her childhood and yet was so willing to do everything she could to please those around her to receive perceived love, which was in fact the abuse.
She took this pattern into her adult life where she had continued to be a victim of abuse from those around her. I asked the adult part of the client to go to her wounded Inner Child during the Regression and give her the love she didn’t get at the time.
This can be extremely challenging for clients to experience themselves in this very vulnerable place, but with some careful and sensitive guidance, the meeting of the younger and older self can create very deep healing and understanding. We bring in new qualities and some empowering techniques and help the client fully understand the impossible situation. One of the things that can help the most is for clients to understand that before they incarnate, they choose the lifetime, parents, husband, children, etc as life lessons and plans. The human experience is a way for the soul to learn and grow.
Could you discuss the significance of Between Lives Regression training and its impact on understanding one’s life purpose?
Our training program for Between Lives Regression teaches therapists to guide clients into their soul memories between lives so they can find out about their life purpose. This is follow-on training for regression therapists.
Between Lives refers to the time when the Soul goes between incarnations. We use deeper hypnosis than normal regression to access these memories and take the client on their travels beyond their last past life and into their soul memories in the Spirit Realms.
Many Between Life sessions have been facilitated worldwide and they have been shown to contain common elements or places that clients will visit. Most clients are met by a loved one upon entry to the Spirit Realms. The journey takes them on to meet their spirit guide, their soul group, and the Wise Beings of Light there to help plan for their next incarnation on earth.
These sessions are a visceral experience, and they offer the opportunity to ask any questions, such as ‘What is my life purpose?’, ‘Am I on track?’, ‘What is my next step?’.
The students who go on to do this advanced training find it a delight and much gentler a process than the fast pace of Regression Therapy. The training allows them to understand more about themselves as spiritual beings to advance their soul growth.
What criteria do you use to select students for your programs, and how do you ensure personalized instruction?
Students are screened for their attitude, learning ability, emotional stability, and experience in life. No former experience as a therapist is necessary. We offer Foundation Hypnosis as a pre-requisite to the Regression Therapy programme, for those who don’t have this qualification. Also, for the highest academic and therapeutic results training is in small groups ensuring that each student gets highly personalized care.
Each student gets their own Supervisor who guides them and oversees their coursework throughout the training. The Training is covered in 4 x 5-day modules over one year. We get to know each one of our students very well during the training program and many of them become lifelong members and friends with the Academy ‘family’.
How do the Academy’s publications, such as “Healing the Eternal Soul,” support the training and development of regression therapists?
Books have been written to assist students in the Academy training. Andy Tomlinson is the author of the book Healing the Eternal Soul which is highly recognised in the field of Regression Therapy. It is an invaluable resource for our students with plenty of case study examples that give insights from Past Lives.
We also have Exploring the Eternal Soul which takes this further in the new area of Life Between Lives Regression. Andy is also the editor of Transforming the Eternal Soul which covers advanced techniques to use with Regression Therapy.
These books are all part of the required reading for the students in the training program. I know for me they are all valuable reference books that I go back to time and time again to gain insights and reminders when necessary.
