In this MysticMag interview, we sit down with Eileen Priya, a seasoned energy healer and holistic coach, to explore her journey into the world of healing. Eileen shares how her personal challenges led her to embrace energy work, and how her unique approach, Glow Energy Healing, empowers clients to navigate grief, transitions, and spiritual growth.
How did you get into energy healing and what sparked your interest in it?
I became an energy healer because energy healing helped me during a very difficult time in my life. I was going through a painful divorce, and I knew I needed a different kind of help. Things that had helped me in the past such as psychotherapy, yoga, and meditation weren’t enough to help me feel centered and whole.
Working with a healer changed things dramatically for me. I worked with two different healers and they both told me that I was a healer too! I had been aware that I had some healing abilities for a long time, but they actually scared me a little, and I didn’t quite know how to use them. Working with teachers helped me learn how to channel and direct my healing abilities, and I love helping people feel better and evolve through this magical modality.
What is Glow Energy Healing and how does it work?
Glow Energy Healing combines elements of Clear Light Healing, crystal healing, and energy healing based on Chinese medicine. I trained in each of these modalities and have combined them so I can best meet the diverse needs of my clients.
I tune in with my client’s energies and scan for blocks, stuck energy, and areas of beauty and strength. I then clear, balance, and infuse all systems with light that is channeled from my crown chakra into my hands. I work on the energy body, chakras, organ systems, and the meridians. I also use specific crystals and essential oils on acupressure points to enhance the healing. In addition, I call in and check with any angels, guides, and beings who would like to assist with the healing. I often see ancestors and spirits who give me messages.
At the end of the session, I give recommendations for ways to keep the healing going. These may include specific acupressure points, essential oils, crystals, or affirmations to work with at home. I mainly work with grief and major life transitions, so I have developed specific protocols to address common energy imbalances, such as fatigue, fullness and heavy, stuck energy in the heart and lungs, spiritual disconnection, and other things that manifest in physical, spiritual, emotional and energetic levels during loss. Most people experience feelings of lightness and spiritual connection.
Even though I have been doing this work for a long time now (since 2009), I am always amazed at how much healing and transformation can occur during a session. I am always humbled by how powerful healing light is and feel so grateful that people trust me with their healing during such painful times.
What ideas and principles do you base your holistic coaching on?
I believe loss and transition are challenging times that require radical self-care AND present marvelous opportunities for transformation. I love to help people nurture themselves, grieve in their own unique way, and then use the wisdom they gain to create the life they have always dreamed of.
Most people experience life-changing realizations when they have a big loss or transition. For example, when a loved one dies, it makes us face our own mortality, and can also bring in deep spiritual understandings of life. This may lead to a desire for major changes, but there is generally overwhelm about how to get to where you want to be.
I know from my own experiences and working with many people that we need a combination of self-acceptance and a desire for growth to move forward. Moving through a loss or transition takes time, and in the early stages, the most important thing is to let our whole self adjust to the new landscape of our lives. First, we allow ourselves to settle, with as little judgement as possible. After we are grounded we can think about creation, and intentionally bring our dreams into being.
Since I have degrees in counseling and education as well as my coaching and energy healing experience, I use a variety of skills from all of these modalities. Each loss or transition is unique, so I create a unique program for each client. My favorite way to work is to combine energy healing with counseling because the healing work brings so much clarity and can accelerate the growth process.
What are your retreats like?
My retreats are generally held on or close to powerful energetic events, such as the equinoxes, solstices, or lunar new year. I love harnessing these cosmic energies and group energy to create meaningful experiences.
Each retreat has a combination of meditation, expressive arts therapies including art, dance, and movement therapy, and journaling, plus pairs work and group processing. This combination of modalities helps us access our right brains, allowing us to look at our lives in new ways, get clear on what is important, and visualize a meaningful path forward. I also have restorative yoga after lunch. I love providing a nurturing space for transformation!
What classes do you offer and how are they structured?
I teach meditation classes both in-person and online. In both formats, we start out with introductions, then we either do some yoga or acupressure self-massage, followed by a discussion on a spiritual quote, a 30-minute meditation, questions, and a closing ritual.
I also lead Healing Movement for Emotional Wellbeing classes, which combine acupressure self-massage, yoga, qigong, and dance and movement therapy. I teach ways to shift your mood and get the energy moving in your body. There is also a big community component. So many people are working online, so I love to create opportunities for sharing and connection.
Is there anything else?
Many of my clients are helping professionals, and I love providing a safe space filled with healing and growth for those who help others.
