What or who initially sparked your interest in spirituality?
The journey into spirituality often begins with the recognition of an ever-present awareness that permeates all experiences. This realization can emerge during mundane moments or through encounters with teachers and teachings that resonate deeply. It is usually a series of gentle reminders from the universe, guiding one toward a deeper understanding of reality rather than a single person or event.
From an early age, I sensed this intrinsic awareness, experiencing moments that felt deeply spiritual. At first, I tried to share them with my family, but my parents, concerned and bewildered, consulted a child psychologist who reassured them that I was fine. This experience taught me to keep these spiritual moments private.
I learned to navigate these experiences on my own and, as I grew older, started seeking understanding in spiritual books and the wisdom of many spiritual teachers. This deepened my understanding and ultimately uncovered the awareness that we all share and that has always been present.
What services do you offer?
I offer guidance and support to individuals seeking to transcend the illusion of separateness and realize their true nature. Through a combination of meditation practices, contemplative dialogue, and experiential exercises, students dissolve the barriers of the ego and awaken to the boundless awareness that is their essence.

How can someone distinguish between genuine spiritual growth and delusion?
To distinguish genuine spiritual growth from delusion, keen discernment and self-awareness are essential. True spiritual growth is marked by increased clarity, inner peace and stability, open-mindedness, compassion, a knowing sense of interconnectedness, and reliance on inner guidance.
Conversely, delusion manifests as grandiosity, detachment from reality, inconsistency, lack of accountability, emotional instability, attachment to specific experiences or egoic thoughts, and self-deception.
Guidance from a spiritual mentor can challenge and refine your perceptions. They can gently highlight when you may be veering into self-delusion, helping to ensure your spiritual growth remains authentic and balanced, which is essential for genuine spiritual development.

For someone just beginning to explore spirituality, I recommend techniques to quiet the mind and cultivate a deeper awareness of the present moment. Here are some suggestions:
- Simple Meditation: Start with focusing on the breath and allowing thoughts to pass without attachment, stabilizing the mind. Find a quiet, comfortable space, close your eyes, and settle into a natural breathing rhythm. Acknowledge thoughts without judgment, gently returning your focus to your breath. This practice dissolves the illusion of separation, reveals the underlying unity of all existence, and fosters a profound sense of oneness.
- Mindfulness in Daily Activities: By engaging fully in daily tasks with awareness, such as mindful eating or walking, one can cultivate a deeper sense of presence and appreciation. Whether it’s savouring the flavours and textures of food, or feeling the ground beneath your feet, these mindful moments can transform routine activities into opportunities for spiritual growth. Eventually, this mindfulness can extend to all areas of life, fostering a continuous state of awareness and connection to the present moment.

The book “Instant Presence” demystifies ancient spiritual teachings and practices from East and West and reveals that spiritual enlightenment is not a faraway dream, but the ever-present reality always available here and now. The book provides practical exercises and meditative practices designed to help individuals quiet mental chatter, transcend the limitations of the mind and ego, recognize and connect to their natural state of awareness, and experience deeper peace, clarity, and fulfilment in their daily lives. Topics such as mindfulness, meditation, self-inquiry, and the nature of awareness are explored.
What do you love most about your profession?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is witnessing the personal transformations in students as they embark on their journeys toward self-discovery. It brings joy to see individuals uncover deeper truths about themselves and the world, and embrace their true potential. Moments when someone finds a sense of purpose or a new understanding are especially heartening.
Additionally, teaching and guiding others enriches my own practice, as these interactions continually reflect and challenge my understanding and embodiment of the teachings.
