Can you describe the moment or experience when you felt that Reiki had truly transformed your life and how it influenced your decision to pursue a career in complementary therapies?

I actually first got to know about Reiki by chance, although my uncle was a natural healer, and we had , had faith healers to our house throughout my childhood, giving healing to my special needs, disabled brother, I had no actual interest in learning to heal, until a friend in Rhodes was offering workshops, so she could afford to travel home to the UK… I thought I would take the course just to help her out, little did I know my simple act of kindness would change my life forever. After learning level 1 I was blown away by the change in me just by doing self healing, I had spent many, many years suffering with severe panic attacks, after my first introduction to reiki in 2010, I have never suffered from a single panic attack.  After just a few months I was ready to take my level 2, as at the time my mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer and I was able to send her distance healing, as she was in the UK and I was in Greece at that time. I myself have just been diagnosed with breast cancer and I am using my knowledge of natural healing and alternative nutrition to cure myself.

What were some of the most significant challenges you faced when introducing Reiki to Europe and Greece, and how did you overcome them?

The most significant challenge I faced when introducing Reiki to Greece, was the fact that it was hardly known. The Greek people are very religious, especially on the island of Rhodes, and see complementary therapies as going against God. This was difficult to begin with, but slowly people on the island were getting into yoga, and started to become more acceptable of complementary therapies

What type of services do you offer?

I offer a variety of services, although I much prefer to do the healing side of things, I have added in Kansa wand facial and body treatments, as these do  not seem to be too out there for the average person, when I am giving these treatments I all combine them with some sort of energy healing and the combination works really well.

My main services are Usui Reiki, Angelic Reiki, Pellowah healing, accessing the bars, reflexology, Indian head massage, kansa wand treatments, hopi ear candling, hypnotherapy, crystal healing, gua sha facial.

What inspired you to expand your knowledge beyond Reiki to include reflexology, hypnosis massage, and other therapies, and how do these modalities complement each other in your practice?

After learning Reiki, I became interested in learning all I could about other modalities of complementary therapies. I like to offer a variety of therapies so the client can get the whole holistic experience, not just a healing.

What was it like hosting Christine Core, the founder of angelic reiki, at your center, and how has her influence shaped your practice and the services you offer?

It was a huge honor to host Christine Core at my center, she was the first of many people I later hosted at my center. Angelic Reiki was not what I expected, it really is a great healing system, it’s actually one treatment I prefer to do, as there is no ego involved, you are just there to be the holder of the space, and let the energies work, unlike Traditional Usui Reiki, where you can tell where the energy is being taken into the client’s body, and when you tell them where you felt the energy go in, they are amazed as that is where they have an actual problem. It  is still  hard for some clients to understand that we are just allowing their body to pull in the healing energy from us, it is not us zapping them with energy.

How do you stay motivated and continue to learn new things in the field of complementary therapies, despite having already achieved so much?

When you love a subject, as much as I love complementary therapies, you don’t need to  motivate yourself, it becomes part of your life, there is always so much more to learn.
