Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the founding of The House of Artemis?

Yes. I founded The House of Artemis in 2019 after my second-level Reiki 2 Attunement. Previously, I had an online apothecary selling herbal products that I made. The change occurred because, after the Level 2 training, I was supposed to ask spiritually, “Who is my Reiki guide now?” I had been working with the archetype of Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon, for many years. When I asked who my Reiki guide was, I pulled the Artemis card. It felt natural because I had already been working with her.

I wanted my new business to incorporate my services, not just my apothecary. The name “House of Artemis” represents a container, a place where you can feel at home, offering various things like herbal medicine, Reiki, teachings, etc. Artemis embodies everything I align with, such as working with the Moon and lunar cycles, protecting and honoring nature and her animals, and serving women, children, and the LGBTQ community. That’s how The House of Artemis began. It was about creating a sanctuary that reflects my values and the energies I work with daily.

What are the core values and mission of The House of Artemis?

The core values include holding space for women and marginalized voices, especially those who are highly sensitive and empathic. These individuals often need help finding their essence, as they absorb the emotions and feelings of others and the world around them. Providing a safe place for these people to use their voices and find their path toward their higher selves is essential. I also value nature, the environment, and sustainability. Everything I offer, whether a product or service, aligns with nature.

The products are sustainable, and the services, like Reiki, guided meditations, and shamanic journeys, incorporate nature. This reciprocal exchange of energy between us and nature promotes healing and balance. Additionally, I believe in empowering individuals to reconnect with their inner essence and the natural world, fostering a harmonious and mindful lifestyle.

How do you select the products and brands featured on your platform?

I used to promote more brands and products, working with local small businesses for items like candles and skincare products. Now, I’m mostly service-based, focusing on collaborations with other artists and healers, both locally and globally. The key is to find like-minded individuals with a similar goal of community healing.

Collaboration helps us create a more beautiful offering for the community. For instance, I might collaborate with an acupuncturist or a natural candle maker to create unique classes or rituals. Working together enhances the overall offering and supports our collective vision. It’s about building a network of support and creativity that benefits everyone involved, creating richer, more holistic experiences for our community.

Can you describe the customer experience you aim to create with The House of Artemis?

My goal is to create a personalized experience for my clients and students. I love feedback and always check in with them, ensuring they know they have access to me for support through email, phone calls, or messages on Instagram. The experience is hands-on and personal, presenting myself as a guide, friend, and support person. Clients know they can come to me for recommendations, questions, or anything else they need. It’s about being connected and providing ongoing support, even after the initial interaction. This approach fosters long-term relationships and trust, making sure each individual feels valued and heard throughout their journey with us.

What role does sustainability play in your business practices?

Sustainability is a core value and a fundamental aspect of The House of Artemis. Being a steward of the Earth means practicing and promoting sustainability. I offer sustainable, compostable, or biodegradable products and educate my audience about sustainability through my platforms. For example, during Earth Month, I share tips on reducing plastic waste, reusing items, and other sustainable practices.

Sustainability also involves being creative in a society that hasn’t fully embraced it yet. Incorporating plants into your diet, buying locally, reducing your carbon footprint, and creating small gardens are all ways to connect with nature and spirit. The closer we get to nature, the closer we get to our true selves, promoting a more sustainable and spiritually aligned lifestyle. It’s about integrating these practices into daily life and inspiring others to do the same for a healthier planet.

How do you envision the future growth and impact of The House of Artemis?

I envision holding space for larger communities, both locally and globally, and continuing to collaborate with like-minded practitioners. The goal is to create a ripple effect of healing and knowledge. Expansion is my keyword this year, focusing on community collaboration and teaching. I see The House of Artemis evolving into a mystery school, offering both online and in-person classes where people can learn and connect. I’m also working on expanding my Plant Spirit Alchemy program, incorporating Reiki teachings for those wanting to become practitioners.

Overall, my aim is to spread plant knowledge, connect with the spirit of nature, and continue sharing my wisdom through events, collaborations, and teachings. By reaching more people and fostering a supportive community, I hope to make a meaningful impact on both individual lives and the broader collective.
