How do you navigate the balance between empowering clients to take control of their lives and providing them with the necessary guidance and support?
The essence of our work revolves around shifting individuals away from a mindset of victimhood, where they might approach me with requests like “help me lose weight” or “help me stop smoking.” The goal of our therapy is to empower clients to recognize that they possess all the necessary tools within themselves. My role is akin to that of a personal trainer; I provide them with the tools needed for their journey. While I support them throughout the process, they are the ones who must actively engage with the tools provided. This approach allows us to deepen their understanding and propel them into action. I elucidate the thought processes underlying their behaviors and demonstrate how simple it can be to alter them. Together, we devise a plan, and they execute it with my guidance and support.
Can you elaborate on the process of identifying and replacing limiting beliefs and decisions, and how this contributes to sustainable personal transformation?
In the initial session with my clients, I introduce them to my theory, which posits that their current experiences are often rooted in events that occurred before the age of seven, including those during gestation or infancy. For those open to it, we also consider past life regression as a possible factor. In our work together, we utilize a variety of tools, including trauma therapy, to address these early experiences. Through hypnotherapy, we can modify beliefs that are no longer beneficial. Additionally, I incorporate Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to assist them in recognizing and altering unhelpful beliefs throughout their daily lives. This approach empowers them to identify, label, and transform negative beliefs as they arise.
With your diverse background in human resources, administration, management, and personal training, how do you leverage these experiences to offer a comprehensive approach to coaching?
In my work, I engage with a diverse range of individuals, drawing on my background as a trainer to gain exposure to various aspects of human nature. However, my preferred focus lies in working with senior executives, leveraging my business acumen, particularly in human resources, to understand and address their unique challenges. Having navigated the pressures of board meetings, dysfunctional teams, unmet key performance indicators, and other professional challenges, I bring a depth of understanding to my work.
Even in more common scenarios, such as helping someone decide whether to stay in a relationship, I approach the situation methodically, akin to conducting a study. By creating an Excel sheet, we explore the implications of staying or leaving, helping individuals make informed decisions.
My approach to personal training involves implementing small lifestyle changes that empower individuals to move away from a victim mentality, taking control of their lives. I guide them in gaining mastery over their life’s direction, akin to having a remote control for their life.
Regarding past life regression, I do believe in its therapeutic benefits, having tested it on myself. I approach it not as a mere spiritual practice, but as a deeply therapeutic process. For instance, when working on relationship patterns, such as repeatedly experiencing infidelity, past life regression can reveal underlying beliefs that need to be addressed. By uncovering and addressing these root causes, clients can experience profound changes in their current lives. My belief in past life regression aligns with Pascal’s wager; I stand to gain insight and healing, with no loss, as long as the practice is conducted ethically and therapeutically.
In what ways do you address the intersectionality of mental health, physical well-being, and personal development in your coaching practice?
All our work is supported by scientific evidence. Research indicates that many individuals with depression have low levels of vitamin D, so incorporating supplements and exposure to sunlight can be beneficial. Additionally, bilateral stimulation, which activates both the right and left brain hemispheres, has shown positive effects on mental health. With this scientific backing, we create a plan that includes introducing exercise into their routine, even if it’s as simple as climbing stairs or using water bottles as weights, demonstrating that exercise can be accessible and affordable for everyone.
Furthermore, studies show that animals do not suffer from heart attacks because their bodies produce vitamin C, unlike humans. Therefore, we educate individuals on how to manage their micronutrients, such as vitamin C, magnesium, and vitamin D, through diet and supplements. While I’m not a medical doctor, these three supplements are often necessary for overall health.
Another crucial aspect is sleep, as growth hormones are only active between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM during deep sleep. Therefore, even if you sleep late and wake up late, you miss out on this vital period of hormone activity. We emphasize the importance of establishing a regular sleep schedule to optimize this natural process.
In our holistic approach, we also address lifestyle overwhelm. I ask clients to track their tasks for a week, categorizing them into tasks only they can do, tasks that can be delegated (even if not perfect), and tasks that can be deleted. This exercise helps identify areas where they can delegate or eliminate tasks to reduce stress and prioritize important activities.
Ultimately, our approach focuses on evidence-based practices to improve overall well-being, including physical and mental health, through manageable lifestyle changes and informed decision-making.
How do you stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in coaching, particularly in areas like NLP, Pranic Healing, and Access Bars Therapy, to continually enhance your offerings to clients?
It’s quite straightforward for me because, in addition to being a mental health trainer, I’m also actively involved in building a mental health community in my country. One of my key principles is to ensure that anyone joining my training program understands the essence of our community. I emphasize that if they are solely seeking a certificate to hang on their wall, this might not be the right fit. However, if they are looking to join a supportive family of like-minded individuals committed to ongoing personal and professional growth, then this is the ideal community for them.
I’m currently working towards becoming a Master Trainer with the American Board of NLP, which requires an additional two years of study. This means that my trainees will also eventually become trainers themselves. To stay current and provide the best knowledge to my community, I attend weekly trainings and assist in various training sessions. This commitment is a fundamental part of my life because in our field, information is constantly evolving. Every day, there are new research findings and developments. If I don’t keep up with these changes, I risk becoming outdated. Therefore, my dedication to continuous learning not only benefits me but also serves to motivate and guide my community towards their own growth and development.
