In this exclusive interview for MysticMag, Bobbie Jackson, a seasoned Reiki practitioner and spiritual healer, shares her transformative journey into the realm of energy healing. From her initial spiritual awakening to her profound insights on Reiki, meditative fusion, and quantum healing, Bobbie offers a glimpse into her path of spiritual growth and the diverse modalities she utilizes to facilitate healing and empowerment.
How did you get into Reiki work and what sparked your interest in it?
In my 20s, I went through my very first dark night of the soul and spiritual awakening. I was just delving into the spiritual world so I really didn’t know much about it other than what I was reading in books. When I reached out to my friends at the time, they thought I was a bit nuts and so did my boyfriend. So, instead, I just turned away and tuned out this side of me out for a while.
I did write poems about my experiences and have shared them throughout the years with a few others struggling with their own spiritual journey so that they can see what I went through and realize they are not alone. Fast-forward to my 40s when I started visiting a good friend of mine more who was very knowledgeable in crystals. As she was educating me about crystals, I realized that she also knew Reiki and other spiritual practices, which intrigued me. I knew I was being pulled and pointed in her direction by the universal for a reason as it was time to start following my spiritual path.
I was very excited as she started teaching me Reiki in addition to other spiritual practices. I was like a sponge and couldn’t receive information fast enough. I felt very blessed that she took me under her wing and became a mentor to me. She has since passed away, but I had made a promise that I was going to continue the journey with Reiki certification and other healing modalities to help people. I’ve been on that path ever since and feel continually blessed.
You also do Pet Reiki. How much is it different from doing Reiki with humans?
The first difference is the amount of energy healing done at one time. While for both human and pet Reiki the sessions are about an hour long, the actual energy healing itself for medium-sized pets is around 15 minutes. It will be a little less for a smaller pet and a little more for a larger pet, but in general around 15 minutes. This is because pets are very receptive and sensitive to energy healing and they cannot handle as much energy healing at one time as we as humans can.
The other difference is that with human Reiki we typically do light hands-on with approval, hovering over sensitive areas or hands off if the person doesn’t want us to touch them. With pet Reiki, it is highly recommended, especially if you don’t know the pet, to do the hands off method to start with. This is for the safety of the practitioner, the owner, the pet, and everyone involved in the session. If the animal becomes nervous and they’re not used to you touching them, the session might not turn out well. So, I highly recommend starting with the hands-off approach when it comes to pet Reiki.
Another difference for me is that pet Reiki has really opened up my intuitive/psychic channel as I have clear communication with pets. Therefore, the night before a session, I will take out a picture of the pet and the information provided by the owner. I then tap into my psychic ability to contact the pet, letting them know that I’m coming for a visit and ask for permission to come into their home and do a session. While I have never received a ‘No’ answer from a pet, I have received requests to bring treats…LOL! During a session, I involve the owner as feel it’s important to clear all energy fields and allow the owner to be a part of their pet’s healing if they want. On the same evening after a Reiki session, I mentally project and reach back out one last time to the pet and ask if there's any other information they would like to provide or anything that they would like to give to the owner. If they do, then I provide that information to the owner the next day.
What exactly is Meditative Fusion?
Meditative fusion is a class that I teach at a local community center. I wanted to find a way to combine meditation and low impact exercises, such as yoga, together for a different type of class and feel blessed it has been received positively. A session starts with a short meditation, warm ups, then light exercises, a little meditative journey in the middle, back to low-impact exercises, then ending with stretching and another short meditation. It’s a great way to get the benefits of both modalities. They are reducing their stress and anxiety levels, increasing their ability to focus, and also increasing their activity level for physical benefits. I encourage anyone interested in such classes to talk to their local community or fitness center and see if they offer any similar sessions.
What can you tell me about “Spiritual Insights”?
Spiritual Insights is a series of videos that I do with a friend of mine who is a psychic medium and a certified death doula. We make these videos whenever our schedules permit and they are always spontaneous. While we may know the subject of our next video in advance, as we usually touch base a few days before recording, we don’t rehearse what we’re going to say. We got this idea because many people are unsure of what they are experiencing when they start their spiritual journey or who to turn to with questions. As alternative healing modalities are being discussed more nowadays, we wanted to provide a way for others to learn about these topics, while having fun at the same time. So, we started with simpler topics and are moving into more complex subjects along the way. We are also excited to start bringing on guest co-hosts when one of us is not available in order to broaden our perspective and view points on spiritual topics.
Since we never know what the other one’s going to say, we usually have some kind of spontaneous laughter during the session and comments that weren’t anticipated. Yet, we’re still getting across an important message to others. We also encourage people to leave comments, like, and share the videos, as well as to let us know what future topics they would like us to cover.
What can people expect from your vendor shows?
I don’t do that many vendor shows and it depends on the venue. When at a vendor show, I mostly sell products. For example, I make my own homemade Florida Water that I put out in small batches under the full moon or the new moon. If there’s enough room, I also set up and offer 15–20-minute mini-Reiki sessions. In this way, people have a chance to pay for a mini session and experience the energy healing firsthand before they commit to a full-hour session.
What other services do you offer?
I offer Quantum Healing sessions. I have completed level 1 QHHT, which stands for ‘Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique’, through Dolores Cannon website. It’s a technique where we work with the clients to get them into the deepest level of trans, which is the somnambulistic state, in order to contact their higher self, or their subconscious, as this is the part of us that knows everything.
A session includes a past life regression first and then we ask the subconscious questions that the client has brought with them such as “Why is my life the way it is?”. The important thing to note here is that as the practitioner, I am not healing anyone. People are healing themselves, as their body has the ability to heal itself. I’m just the facilitator between the client and their subconscious/their higher self.
I am also looking forward to rolling out sound bowl therapy sessions soon, both locally and, hopefully, online, as well. For more information or to contact me, please feel free to visit my website at www.innerdimensionswellness.com. Namaste my beautiful souls.
