Your journey into the world of energy healing began at a young age. Could you share a pivotal moment or experience that sparked your interest and ultimately led you to pursue a career in this field?
I would say that more than simply knowing I wanted to pursue energy healing, I just had this drive—a compelling need—to help people. I felt a sense of urgency to contribute in a meaningful way. In my late twenties and early thirties, I found myself grappling with an existential crisis. Despite working as a social worker and assisting others, I didn’t feel as though I was making a significant impact. I questioned the effectiveness of my efforts and sought ways to extend my reach.
During a trip to the Arctic, where I reside in the northern regions, I stayed awake the entire night meditating, pondering what my contribution to the world could be. When morning broke, clarity dawned upon me: I would become a meditation teacher and delve into energy healing. It was as though a revelation had occurred during that sleepless night.
Subsequently, I delved deeper into meditation and pursued energy healing training. As I immersed myself in this practice, I recognized that it had always been a part of my essence since childhood. They say that one finds their purpose when it resonates with how they felt as a child, and this realization rang true for me.
I began offering intuitive readings, drawing upon my skills as a writer. Memories resurfaced, reminding me of how, even in my teenage years, I would write notes to people, offering insights about themselves. Growing up in a family where such gifts were neither acknowledged nor understood—my parents remain proud of me but are perplexed by my pursuits—left me navigating this journey largely on my own.
It’s been heartening to hear feedback from students at my New Earth Energy school. Many express a sense of rediscovery, as if they’re reclaiming a part of themselves that had long been buried. Joining the program has provided them with a framework to understand their experiences and a community where they feel understood.
For me, this journey has been about piecing together fragments of my identity, aligning with my true calling, and finding fulfillment in helping others discover their own paths.
Your online school, New Earth Energy School, aims to pass on your practices to the next generation of healers. What inspired you to create this platform, and what unique teachings or techniques do you offer aspiring healers?
It’s an intriguing tale. I once consulted with a psychic medium—a rather interesting experience, to say the least. This occurred around 2013 or 2014, when I engaged in personal training sessions with him. During one of these sessions, he offered me a reading, predicting that I would develop a new modality. Initially, I found the idea daunting and frankly doubted my ability to fulfill such a prophecy.
Over the next decade, however, I noticed a gradual influx of insights and techniques during my energy healing sessions with clients. These approaches seemed to surpass the boundaries of my formal training, evolving organically over time. Even my mentor remarked on the uniqueness of my methods, recognizing that they deviated from conventional practices.
Despite my reservations and insecurities about conveying these revelations to others, a breakthrough occurred one spring morning in 2022 while I was bathing. Suddenly, the entire curriculum for my envisioned modality flooded into my consciousness. Hastily, I transcribed it, overwhelmed by the magnitude of the task ahead.
Expecting an arduous journey to bring this vision to fruition, I was surprised when, fueled by an unseen force, I effortlessly constructed a website in half an hour upon waking at 6:00 AM the following morning. Similar efficiency marked my marketing efforts, completed by 9:30 AM.
Despite this promising start, I found myself plagued by doubt and procrastination throughout the summer, questioning my readiness for the venture. It wasn’t until two weeks before the intended launch date that I mustered the courage to fully commit. Remarkably, within that short span, 27 individuals signed up for the program, affirming the validity and demand for the modality I had hesitantly embraced.
This marks the second year since I launched the Newark Energy School, and I’m thrilled to report that last year saw the graduation of my first group of students. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive—they described it as the most transformative experience of their lives. Naturally, I couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.
As a teacher, I’m known for being rigorous. I challenge my students because I believe the most crucial lesson I can impart is that energy healing cannot be approached from the ego mind. It requires tapping into the heart’s energy, sensing energy, and activating one’s clairvoyance. However, many students initially struggle with this concept. They come seeking validation and eager to excel, which is admirable. Yet, they often rely on their ego minds to do so. It’s a delicate process of redirecting their focus toward their senses, emphasizing the importance of intuitive understanding.
In many ways, energy healing embodies the principles of the divine feminine—a reliance on sensory perception and intuition. This year’s group of students has made significant progress. We’re currently in week 27 of our 35-week program, and I’m delighted to see them shedding their ego-driven approaches and embracing a more intuitive and sensory-based practice.
Admittedly, my program isn’t easy. I’ve been likened to teaching a four-year program in one due to its intensity. However, the results speak for themselves. Graduates emerge with a deep understanding and proficiency in energy healing that is unparalleled.
As we embark on our second year, I’m already preparing to welcome new students for the next intake in September. It’s a testament to the growing interest in this field and the effectiveness of the program in nurturing skilled healers.
What type of services do you offer?
Sure, I mean, we can certainly discuss various topics, but currently, my greatest excitement revolves around my new book, the Soul Path trilogy. In many ways, this book serves as a reflection of my journey. I’m still processing the fact that I’ve managed to document and publish my experiences. It’s almost like a Yelp review of my personal journey— detailing my voyage on Earth and the steps I took to navigate through the soul’s journey and decipher its mysteries. While these steps may not be the only ones available to break free from the egoic trap, they are the ones I utilized and meticulously recorded within the pages of the trilogy.
Admittedly, the book isn’t an easy read; it’s likely to take some time for readers to absorb and work through. However, all the meditations and techniques are included within its pages. So, while it may not be a service I directly offer, it encapsulates a wealth of knowledge that I’ve accumulated over time.
Aside from the book, I also provide written readings of energy, which I offer three times a year—during the spring, fall, and New Year’s. These readings, especially popular for the New Year, offer insights into chakra energy. Additionally, I conduct group healings every first Friday of the month via Zoom. This session, led by myself and assisted by some of my graduates, provides individual healings for each participant over the course of an hour.
Furthermore, I host a Saturday morning meditation session, which is open to members of my new website. For a nominal fee of $35 per month, members gain access to both the group healings and the Saturday morning meditations. Moreover, all sessions are recorded and stored in an archived library, offering a vast repository of meditation resources.
As for one-on-one sessions, I’m currently not offering them. My focus is primarily on group sessions and providing accessible resources through my website and publications.
Your work focuses on helping individuals achieve greater connection, clarity, and confidence in their paths. Could you share some practical advice or exercises for listeners who are seeking to cultivate these qualities in their own lives?
I believe the number one skill to cultivate is the ability to discern your inner yeses and noes. This skill is crucial because it empowers you to make decisions independently, without relying on external validation. Instead of seeking advice from friends, family, or professionals, you can turn inward to access your own intuitive guidance system.
Developing this internal compass takes time and practice. In my book, the Soul Path trilogy, specifically in the section titled “Trusting the Soul Path,” I delve into the concept of intuitive listening. In today’s world, we are bombarded with constant telepathic noise, making it challenging to tune into our inner wisdom. However, with practice, you can learn to quiet the external chatter and connect with your inner truth.
Start by experimenting with small decisions, such as whether to visit a bakery. Notice how your body responds to the yes or no answer you receive. Over time, as you experience synchronicities—those meaningful coincidences that validate your choices—you’ll gain confidence in your internal compass.
Embarking on the soul path requires courage and resilience. As spiritual teachers throughout history have emphasized, it demands the mindset of a spiritual warrior. Trusting your inner guidance may feel daunting at times, but it’s an essential skill for navigating life’s journey with authenticity and purpose.
I am undoubtedly in the process of recovering from being a people pleaser. However, I’ve reached a beautiful realization within myself regarding this aspect of my personality. I recently penned an article for Elephant Journal delving into this topic. Reflecting on my people-pleasing tendencies, I find that there was indeed a certain joy in it. I harbor no regrets for the time I spent as a people pleaser. There was a certain beauty in being of service and in giving myself over to others.
My belief system doesn’t revolve around notions of right or wrong; instead, I prioritize consent. If someone feels compelled to engage in people-pleasing behavior or embark on risky endeavors, I advocate for ownership of their decisions. Don’t fall into the trap of victimhood—embrace your choices, regardless of the outcome. Earthly existence is messy and unpredictable, and that’s perfectly okay.
However, the prevailing issue we face today is a culture of victimhood. It’s essential to acknowledge that choosing to be a people pleaser was a decision made consciously. Personally, I’ve experienced both positive and negative outcomes from my people-pleasing tendencies. While I derived enjoyment from it, I also encountered burnout and exhaustion.
Currently, I’ve adopted a stance of no people-pleasing, which has resulted in mixed reactions from those around me. While some may be frustrated or disappointed, I find myself with newfound energy to invest in my own projects. Although I may feel a tinge of loneliness at times, the sense of autonomy and freedom I experience is invaluable.
Life is all about embracing the intricacies and complexities of our decisions. There’s never a one-size-fits-all solution, and it’s crucial to listen to your inner voice—your yeses and nos. Embrace your decisions wholeheartedly, and be prepared to navigate the diverse array of experiences that come your way. Building the strength to trust your instincts takes practice, but it’s a journey worth embarking on.
Healing one’s own soul’s existence is a profound concept. How do you guide clients towards recognizing their own power to heal and transform their lives?
That was an intriguing question. In my opinion, the most crucial tool we possess is compassion. Often, we find ourselves in a society that advocates for tough love, believing that harshness is necessary for growth and change. However, this approach can ultimately be debilitating. It’s essential to view our existence within the context of centuries of violence and oppression, which have plagued humanity throughout history. While there are undoubtedly beautiful aspects to life—such as family, nature, and love—it’s crucial to acknowledge the pervasive horror and suffering that have also characterized our collective experience on Earth.
This dichotomy of “us versus them” or “you versus me” mentality is fundamentally flawed and unsustainable. Compassion, although it may be perceived as weak by some, is, in fact, immensely powerful. When we operate from a place of compassion, we tap into the heart center, which emits the most potent frequency on Earth. Despite the pain and trauma our hearts may have endured, reconnecting with compassion allows us to transcend the limitations of the mind and enter into a higher energetic realm.
Furthermore, compassion is closely intertwined with acceptance. Instead of resisting or fighting against life’s challenges, embracing acceptance allows us to loosen the grip of suffering and experience a sense of liberation. By accepting things as they are and approaching life with compassion, we can begin to heal the distorted energy patterns that have accumulated over lifetimes of violence and trauma.
In my teachings, I emphasize the importance of addressing energy imbalances at their root. Rather than getting caught up in the cycle of emotions and psychological analysis, my approach focuses on performing energetic “surgery” to correct these distortions. By directly addressing the underlying energetic issues, we can achieve profound transformation and break free from the cycle of suffering.
In summary, compassion and acceptance are not only powerful tools for personal growth but also essential components of healing on a collective level. By cultivating compassion and addressing energy imbalances, we can move towards a more harmonious and balanced existence.
